So BoJo has COVID-19!

OP posts:
goodbyestranger · 27/03/2020 11:55

I've developed mild symptoms of the coronavirus, that's a temperature and a persistent cough

I've just seen Boris said this HoffiCoffi, so I'll revert to: amazing. Frankly, I don't see how that works, speaking for that long with no coughing. I'm cynical.

Random18 · 27/03/2020 11:55

Whatever you think of Boris, the last thing this country needs is for him to become seriously ill or worse.

I wish him a speedy recovery, just like I would everyone else who gets this horrible virus

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 27/03/2020 11:55

Some of those posting on here are genuinely the lowest of the low.

Wishing anyone ill is despicable.

Equally, failing to understand why the leader of a country should be prioritised for testing (and treatment) displays, at best, a severe lack of intellect.

Unfortunately this whole thing has shown just how many nasty people there are out there. Thankfully I haven't heard anyone say anything like this in real life so either they all congregate on MN or are just so brave behind their screens

flashbac · 27/03/2020 11:55

Is it only me who's a bit cynical about this? Suddenly ppl are feeling sorry for him and he can hide away for a bit (but not in a fridge this time). How convenient.

AnotherMurkyDay · 27/03/2020 11:55

I thought he sounded a bit hoarse and was clearing his throat a lot on Monday and every time since. Wasn't sure if he was tired or ill. Staggering really, our future king and PM both having it. Shows that it is indiscriminate. Still the deaths will be disproportionately poor people.

IpeartreeI · 27/03/2020 11:56

Unbelievable! He obviously didn't wash his hands for long enough 🙄

DailyKegelReminder · 27/03/2020 11:56

People with the same symptoms aren't being offered tests or being advised to have one.

I agree hes the PM so he should be tested if he has symptoms btw to stop spreading etc. So I'm not arguing that. That doesn't make people scum for pointing out that he (and other advisors) have gone against everything they've been telling the public to do. I'm not gloating he has it, all we need now is our PM to be seriously unwell! I wish people were so outraged that people on the frontline cant even be tested as they are defending people questioning the PM.

Bojo1 · 27/03/2020 11:56

flashbac

Yeah, he’s lying. Obviously. Hmm

UYScuti · 27/03/2020 11:56

Get well soon Borris💙

SoupDragon · 27/03/2020 11:57

Anyone gloating about this,is quite frankly sick in the head.

This. Along with the smart arsed "oooh, he should have wished his hands" idiots.

SoupDragon · 27/03/2020 11:57

Washed.

Not wished.

Marieo · 27/03/2020 11:57

There's a worldwide shortages of tests, I am pretty sure he would have used just the one, so I doubt he is denying the NHS by him, the prime minister of the country who has regular contact with most of those running the country, having a test. Until the whole of the health service can be supplied then it's not really fair to select which hospitals can have them and which can't. Those that are happy about it are disgusting, but it's not unexpected is it. I hope Carrie is okay, must be extra worrying when pregnant.

flashbac I'm utterly cynical.

SummersMahoosiveClipOnFringe · 27/03/2020 11:57

Poor Boris. Sad

mateysmum · 27/03/2020 11:58

All those people using this to have a dig at Boris, like him or not how can you seriously question his motives in dealing with corona?

Not all his decisions or those of his advisers will prove correct, but actually, nobody knows that yet. Can you actually imagine his current workload and stress level? They must be sky high. I doubt he is getting much sleep or respite. Ok so neither are clinicians or other key workers, but this isn't a competition and Boris is carrying a huge weight, not just for lives but for the economy and the future of all of us.

I hope he recovers soon and that those around him especially Carrie and her baby stay well. We don't need all the Chief medical and scientific officers, plus Rishi to go down with it as well. They've all been working very closely together these past weeks.

ByAppointmentTo · 27/03/2020 11:58

FFS there are some real idiots and some nasty people on here. Hope he gets well soon.

slartibarti · 27/03/2020 11:59

He could have been given a cough suppressant so he could do the video.

cornishdreams1 · 27/03/2020 11:59

Feeling a little bit wobbly hearing this news, I sincerely hope he has the mildest form and recovers quickly. Princes Charles and Boris Johnson having tested positive for coronavirus takes the the whole thing to the next level of surreal. I am praying for our country and for all of those that are ill.

It will be good to see Boris bouncing back quickly, it may give people more confidence not less, that they can beat this thing.

Satonloo · 27/03/2020 11:59

Wont be losing sleep over this Hmm

Wallowinginfilth · 27/03/2020 11:59

Some of those posting on here are genuinely the lowest of the low.

Dp has been warned not to have his nhs badge visible when on the street. There have been muggings.

You clearly live a very sheltered life.

SarahInAccounts · 27/03/2020 11:59

God knows how many people he passed it on to before he started keeping to the rules.

Time for a national government, I think.

Sapphiresunrise · 27/03/2020 12:00

I hope he gets well soon.
He wasn't immune, just like anybody else on this planet.

Bojo1 · 27/03/2020 12:00

God, some of the left are showing their true colours on here. Well done on the ones who are showing compassion. Tells you the type of human they are.

I despise the ground Corbyn walks on but I would never wish him ill
