So BoJo has COVID-19!

OP posts:
HoffiCoffi13 · 27/03/2020 11:45

goodbyestranger if he has mild symptoms then he may not even have a cough. And the cough often comes later than other symptoms.

PickwickThePlockingDodo · 27/03/2020 11:45

How did he meet the criteria for testing, though?

Don't be so ridiculous, he's the bloody prime minister fgs Hmm

TheVanguardSix · 27/03/2020 11:46

My first thought was for his partner and unborn baby. Goodness me, that's not good news. Yes, his symptoms may be mild now but apparently, they can improve before the big nose dive into severe illness sets in (according to a few accounts). Let's hope for the best for him and well, basically all of us. This is a shitty time. Our faith has to be that there is another side, a better side at the end of this global shock.

BarbaraofSeville · 27/03/2020 11:46

He can hardly just SI in bed for a week like most

They must have a back up plan. I can't remember any examples of a PM being seriously ill and off work sick, but it must have happened.

BJ wasn't on the daily briefing yesterday evening was he? I wonder if anyone else from Government or the CMO and deputy CMO who've been in daily contact with him have managed not to catch it.

I bet he's a bad ill person, probably a snivelling 'dressing gown of doom' shuffler who won't just fuck off to bed but makes sure his DP knows how much he's suffering. Or if she doesn't live with him at Downing Street, he's out of her hair for a couple of weeks?

Justanotherworkingmom · 27/03/2020 11:46

Some of those posting on here are genuinely the lowest of the low.

Wishing anyone ill is despicable.

Equally, failing to understand why the leader of a country should be prioritised for testing (and treatment) displays, at best, a severe lack of intellect.

PickwickThePlockingDodo · 27/03/2020 11:47

Well that’s put a smile back on my face.

Nice

alloutoffucks · 27/03/2020 11:47

@xenia he is more than a bit overweight, the guy is clearly fat. So am I and I don't expect anyone else to pretend I am not.

TheFaerieQueene · 27/03/2020 11:47

Whilst I don’t like the man, I hope he recovers soon. I also hope it might give him time to reflect on the chaos his party has caused this country with the cuts to our essential services.

EmpressMcSchnozzle · 27/03/2020 11:47

I thought he looked ill a couple of days ago, but also put it down to stress. He's not my favourite person in the world, but that doesn't mean I'd wish it to linger.

goodbyestranger · 27/03/2020 11:48

Lack of testing for NHS staff (incl two of my own DC in contact daily with coronavirus patients, without proper PPE) utterly shocking. Each time a big name gets tested at home (or their second home In Prince Charles' case) for mild symptoms it should anger the public even more.

Boris doesn't look to be struggling at all.

Babysharkdoodoodood · 27/03/2020 11:48

@OldLace Dominic Raab is designated survivor (shudder)

teafourtoo · 27/03/2020 11:48

@Justanotherworkingmom

I'm not a fan of Boris and I dong think he's handled this very well so far, but I totally agree with you. Of course he'll get preferential testing he's in charge of the country and it's just unbelievably mean spirited to wish anyone to be ill.

Eireni · 27/03/2020 11:48

Oh give over, no one wished him the virus as a fellow human being or doesn’t hope he recovers speedily with minimal symptoms. But the man is directly, personally responsible for the UK’s shuffling, incoherent, inadequate response to this crisis, he is the reason why many many more of us will die, have long term health problems, lose loved ones, lose jobs etc than had to. So yeah, I think an honest schadenfreude response is understandable and doesn’t mean anyone is ‘sick in the head’, this is no time for po-faced virtue-signalling moral purity. We’re all only human. The man was boasting how he was shaking everyone’s hands in hospitals a few weeks ago, whilst everyone else was promoting low/no-contact forms of social greeting. Of course he was going to get it.

If he does become seriously unwell - which for clarity’s sake I hope he doesn’t (despite thinking he is a self-obsessed racist misogynist wankbadger)....... who’s next in the chain of command? Does Rishi ‘Young Enterprise Student’ Sunak become acting PM? Shock

goodbyestranger · 27/03/2020 11:50

HoffiCoffi yes I'm aware but nevertheless he's in fine enough fettle to do a video interview looking and sounding exactly the same as usual.

TheVanguardSix · 27/03/2020 11:50

Yeah me too Empress. I'm not a fan and I've had my shouty rants in the (very recent) past at Bojo on the tv, but even I thought a couple of nights ago, "Poor guy looks absolutely shattered, just knackered."
I hope he'll pull through quickly. I wouldn't wish an illness of any kind on my worst enemy. These are sad times.

derxa · 27/03/2020 11:50

Well that’s put a smile back on my face OK I'll bite. You're despicable.
Angry

BeijingBikini · 27/03/2020 11:51

@NettleTea that made me LOL Grin

Alsohuman · 27/03/2020 11:51

Much as I detest the man, I hope he’s got a mild case and can carry on working because the thought of Raab being in charge makes me feel physically sick.

Tanith · 27/03/2020 11:52

What on earth will they do if the whole cabinet goes down with it?

They’ll self isolate for 7 days while they recover and the civil servants will carry on.

Topseyt · 27/03/2020 11:53

I'm not a Tory, but I wish him a speedy recovery.

Anyone who gloats about this sort of thing is a shit.

TheElementsOfMedical · 27/03/2020 11:53

I have no love for Bozo (quite the opposite, to be honest), but I wish him a swift recovery, as I would pretty much any politician or public figure (and every person who has it, needless to say). The last thing the country and the world needs right now is any more political chaos.

Mittens030869 · 27/03/2020 11:53

Wishing him speedy recovery and hope his gf stays safe as she is pregnant.

^This. I e got what's very probably COVID-19, though not tested. I'm angry about the lack of tests for people like me, and much more so for medics in that position.

But I wouldn't wish these symptoms on my worst enemy, especially when there's also a pregnant partner who could easily catch it.

DressingGownofDoom · 27/03/2020 11:54

Can't shake the image of Boris shuffling around in his dressing gown of doom and slippers of sadness. I wonder if he will have to make his own dinner?

Sunshinestars · 27/03/2020 11:54

This is not good news in any shape or form, no matter what anyone thinks about him.
