So BoJo has COVID-19!

OP posts:
PatricksRum · 27/03/2020 11:37

@Bojo1 Not really. I'm just not a Tory and I care about our NHS unlike Boris.

SlothMama · 27/03/2020 11:37

Love him or hate him I hope he gets better soon and his girlfriend is okay as she's pregnant.

BlueJava · 27/03/2020 11:37

Wishing him speedy recovery and hope his gf stays safe as she is pregnant.

DailyKegelReminder · 27/03/2020 11:38

I probably would swap testing the prime minister (yes I know hes running the country etc) to give it to even ONE nurse who is treating a positive COVID 19 patient. So he/she knows whether shes taking it back to her family.

He should have just self isolated at home unless struggling to breathe, do not call 111 or visit a doctor. Like he is telling the nation to do 🤷‍♀️

Bojo1 · 27/03/2020 11:39

patrickrum

Yeah, he hates the NHS. Those billions he puts into it shows that. Stop listening to Corbyn. He’s wrong.

DailyKegelReminder · 27/03/2020 11:39

That makes me sound like I'm happy he got it. Which I'm not! And hope his girlfriend and him stay safe, just saying that people have the right to be a bit pissed off with it all.

HoffiCoffi13 · 27/03/2020 11:40

I don’t think he did call 111 or a Dr. It seems Chris Whitty advised he was tested based on his symptoms.

Bloomburger · 27/03/2020 11:40

Do all you people not realise yet that he implemented policies around shutting things down and social isolation on behalf of the people qualified to make those decisions. He didn't thank god listen to a bunch of idiots on the internet who after a quick google search and flick through the tabloid press became acclaimed virologists responsible for the health of millions of people.

To say anything unkind is just fucking heartless.

Like Prince William now getting his kids to clap for the nhs....about 3 weeks ago he was in Ireland telling everyone the the reaction to covid-19 was an overreaction!
I REALLY hope a reporter calls PW out on that

But hasn’t he just sort of proved his point?.People get it and are still up and getting on. Neither him or Boris sound like they have anything more than a heavy cold.
Obviously we are preventing the more serious cases that result if fatalities but clearly most don’t end up that I’ll.

Growingboys · 27/03/2020 11:42

Poor Boris and poor Carrie - must be so scary being pregnant right now.

Let's hope they find a jab fast and we can all put this behind us. Such a waste of a life, spending it hiding indoors reading the internet.

VegetableMunge · 27/03/2020 11:42

I saw the thread title and assumed you meant for the clap.

Anyway, here's hoping he and all infected people have minor symptoms only. The fewer people with a severe case, the better for all of us and the NHS. So fingers crossed for a quick recovery.

Xenia · 27/03/2020 11:42

Let us hope it continues to be mild. He is a bit over weight but tries to run and do tennis and I don't think he smokes so he is more likely than not to be okay but we can never be sure. I hope they have the "designated survivor" list all ready in case they all drop like flies.

EverythingChanges321 · 27/03/2020 11:42

Well that’s put a smile back on my face. Grin

Notthemessiah · 27/03/2020 11:43

Don't like him but hope he recovers quickly. Trump on the other hand, if he got it......

Not getting the distinction here.

Oh come on. I don't have any time for Boris normally and believe him to be flawed on many levels, but he's hardly comparable to Trump - a sociopathic narcissist and general all round despicable human being.

Xenia · 27/03/2020 11:43

I think it is pretty nasty that anyone would smile when someone else is ill.

PatricksRum · 27/03/2020 11:43

@Bojo1 If he cares why has he taken so long to put in measures? Why did he expose the NHS hospital to corona?

Justaboy · 27/03/2020 11:43

What on earth will they do if the whole cabinet goes down with it?

The Army have a cunning plan;!

Miriel · 27/03/2020 11:43

to total scum who gloats about this , wait until you are the one with the virus and needing medical help

I'm not gloating and genuinely hope that Boris recovers soon.

That said, he, like Prince Charles, will have access to all the medical care he needs. The same can't be said of those of us who will need treatment for the virus after the NHS has been overwhelmed - and the aborted 'herd immunity, wash your hands and carry on, some of you will die' policy of his is partially responsible for that. Boris getting the virus isn't equivalent to a random MNetter who ill-wishes him doing so.

Bloomburger · 27/03/2020 11:43

Do you not realise too that if Corbyn had renationalised all of the industry that he promised to the national debt would have been at such a level that there wouldn't have been a hope in hells chance of any sort of emergency financial bail out for anyone.

defthand · 27/03/2020 11:43

He looks unwell in that Twitter video.

goodbyestranger · 27/03/2020 11:43

How does Boris manage a video like that without even a single cough. Amazing.

alloutoffucks · 27/03/2020 11:44

I did wonder yesterday when it was announced who would take over if Boris is too ill. I reckon they knew yesterday.

OldLace · 27/03/2020 11:44

I wouldn't wish it on anyone but it IS ironic he has it now.
I wonder who his 'designated survivor' is?
Though I expect he will be fine, not being in a vulnerable group.
Not great for Carrie being pregnant though - poor lass!

SnakePlant · 27/03/2020 11:44

I’m no Boris fan to say the least but I hope he gets it mildly and is better soon and that Carrie is ok.
