OP posts:
Bluntness100 · 27/03/2020 17:19

Beth rigby just made me laugh

Mr gove, do you think that with the prime minister, the health secretary and the chief scientific officer all ill when they are needed, that was a bit careless?

Eh yes,,hindsight is a fab thing,,

itsgettingweird · 27/03/2020 17:24

That's twitter link is funny.
The comments afterwards are funnier.

I still agree with everyone that whatever anyone has done or said it's still awful they have caught it.

In fact it's probably worse for the nation than we already are.

The thing is, it’s very likely that he is infected due to the large number of people that he comes into contact with every day. It would probably be less believable if he didn't get it.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 27/03/2020 17:27

Pob is out of his depth

To the person who asked Liverpool numbers are 72 and rising

SouthWestmom · 27/03/2020 17:31

I'm a bit confused now. General plebs don't get tested. Jenny saying ppl in central workforce tested. Gove saying if symptomatic tested- that's not true though.

Mummyoflittledragon · 27/03/2020 17:36

Has the tik tok video been deleted?

I can’t find it on tik tok. It was hilarious! Can someone tell me how to search for it please,

Loving brave sir Robin and the Twitter!

jasjas1973 · 27/03/2020 17:37

Comes back to "i will continue shaking peoples hands" doesn't it?

When he said that, i almost fell of my chair, i couldn't believe what i was hearing, its not hindsight, its stupidity, as was sitting in close proximity on the front bench in Parliament.

Does prove though that one idiot going into work with little consideration for his co-workers, can infect many.

VegetableMunge · 27/03/2020 17:44

Johnson is of course a lying liar who lies, and nobody should take his uncorroberated word for what day it is, let alone anything important. But we're in the middle of a pandemic, he's had recent contact with people who've got it and he delayed in taking sensible precautions. So it makes total sense that he has it. It's eminently plausible.

chomalungma · 27/03/2020 17:45

That video is pure Boris. It's just his style and he's paying the price for being blase

BigChocFrenzy · 27/03/2020 17:47

It's good she'll well enough to laugh about it,
but blimey that's a lot of infected MPs

Angela Raynerr@AngelaRayner*

So me and Boris Johnson having the virus is pure coincidence- honest

alloutoffucks · 27/03/2020 17:49

www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/mar/25/uk-coronavirus-policy-scientific-dominic-cummings

good article outlining what some of us have been saying for a few weeks.

BigChocFrenzy · 27/03/2020 17:50

Thinking why so many politicians & officials have this ...

I suppose Westminster isn't really some frenetic knocking shop ? 🤔

BigChocFrenzy · 27/03/2020 17:53

The trouble when someone has made a whole career out of lying ...
even if he has suddenly been shocked into turning over a new leaf,

he can hardly say
"I'm not lying any more"

Mlou32 · 27/03/2020 17:56

He has been doing a fantastic job during this crisis. Speedy recovery to Boris, Matt Hancock, Chris Whitty and any others I may be unaware of who have been affected.

PerkingFaintly · 27/03/2020 17:59

That's a really interesting article, alloutoffucks, and puts its finger on something that's been bothering me about the supposedly data-driven approach of the Cummings-ists.

No 10 appears to be enamoured with “scientism” – things that have the cosmetic attributes of science but without its rigour
[...]
So what is called “evidence-based” methods have a dire track record and are pretty much evidence-free. This scientism also manifests itself in Boris Johnson’s chief adviser Dominic Cummings’s love of complexity and complex systems (our speciality) which he appears to apply incorrectly.

Cummings et al are very poor at understanding the limitations of modelling. Unlike the authors of the article, a professor of risk engineering and a president of the New England Complex System Institute, who understand the caveats very well.

LittleRootie · 27/03/2020 18:01

He has been doing a fantastic job during this crisis

Has he got a second job??

chomalungma · 27/03/2020 18:02

Has he got a second job

Grin
sam221 · 27/03/2020 18:04

The man is proven liar, so I'm not sure i'm buying what he is selling!
Call me a cynic, but he advocated for the dangerous 'herd immunity' idea, against directly given advice by the WHO.
So all those wishing him well, good for you but do remember he was ready to sacrifice the elderly to death.
Frontline NHS staff do not have enough PPE and the NHS was already on its knees due to Tory cuts.

Butterymuffin · 27/03/2020 18:05

we think some of the posts that were rather baldly accusing the PM of outright lying about having the virus felt just a little bit much.

Is @MNHQ now saying they don't allow posts that accuse the PM of lying? That does seem peculiar given his track record as pp have said. Does this courtesy extend to all politicians?

jasjas1973 · 27/03/2020 18:05

He has been doing a fantastic job during this crisis

Of course, "take it on the chin" and "i shake the hands of CV19 patients"
All brilliant examples of doing a fantastic job.... add in limited PPE and no CV tests for sick NHS staff and he is a right little Winnie isn't he?

Wonder why, uniquely among world leaders, our PM and top officials get CV despite apparently being behind other countries......

beautifulteeth · 27/03/2020 18:05

I ignore all the Boris haters on this nasty thread.

All these nasty left wingers need to give their heads a wobble.

Boris is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't

I absolutely clap my hands together in thanks that labour aren't in charge of this...

alloutoffucks · 27/03/2020 18:05

@PerkingFaintly Yes it can be the problem with people who only have a very surface knowledge of a subject, but think they know more than they do. Although incredibly arrogant to go against what WHO were saying.

alloutoffucks · 27/03/2020 18:07

We are not allowed to say Boris has a well documented history of lying? Really MNHQ???
