Anyone actually stayed at home?

Has anyone just stayed home, not gone out anywhere today?

I’ve kept myself to myself, been back to my empty home (caring for Df) to collect a couple of things

Not been anywhere else, no shopping, no going to the park etc

It’s not easy, but I want to keep safe

Seeing all these replies about not going out, I’m starting to think we were wrong to go out for a walk??

ShesGotBetteDavisEyes · 22/03/2020 21:03

Yep, going out for 6am runs when no one about. Went for a short walk with dh and kids but staying well away from people - when we got down to the parkland (we went down a secret path through the woodland) we were shocked to see how many people were out and walking blithely past one another on the path - not even making space.

One nice thing was we spoke to some neighbours who were gardening that we’ve never really spoken to before (from a distance of about 10 metres away). We joked that everyone is going to have the most amazing gardens/clean houses at the end of this!

I have no plans to go out for the foreseeable apart from my early runs and secluded walks with the kids - that is until we’re not allowed to which I think will be soon.

Played in the Garden with the kids other than that didn’t cross the threshold

Yesterday went for a walk with 3yo on his bike

Greenpop21 · 22/03/2020 21:05

Walked the dog in wild park. Did gardening.

ACertainSupermarket · 22/03/2020 21:07

Not working today so no. But I don't expect the ones who have been clogging up the parks and supermarkets will come on and justify themselves!

isittheholidaysyet · 22/03/2020 21:07

Haven't left house (and garden) since Wednesday.
Neither have the kids.

DH has had 2 work meetings and has been to his empty workplace building three times.
He'll need to get some food tomorrow.

Raaaa · 22/03/2020 21:07

Booked a weekend away a few weeks ago to the coast, we still went away and have been for walks on the beach in the sunshine which was lovely

Lulu1919 · 22/03/2020 21:08

I drove to a car park
My daughters met me there driving their own cars
They gave me a pressie ,no hugs and we sat in a wall two meters apart for ten mins....we then all went to our individual homes.

Namethecat · 22/03/2020 21:08

In the last 11 days, quick shopping twice , drive in the car once ( didn't get out ) and a walk away from everyone.

Greenpop21 · 22/03/2020 21:08

Need to get fresh food tomorrow (fruit and veg) and that will be it. Not working this week( in school) but on rota for next week.

porpoisey · 22/03/2020 21:08

*I haven’t been anywhere apart from the garden since Boris made the announcement on Monday evening about all family members isolating for 14 days
*
Only if you have a cough or temp..

Devlesko · 22/03/2020 21:08

Yes, me, dh and dd haven't been out for 2 weeks. Although we have had a walk in the park, not today though and only 2 of us at a time.
The garden is looking lovely though, so getting fresh air and exercise.

TalbotAMan · 22/03/2020 21:08

I did step just outside the front gate to do the monthly water meter read, but otherwise yes.

Bluewavescrashing · 22/03/2020 21:09

Home all weekend except a short walk to the post box yesterday. We are lucky to have a garden though.

thenightsky · 22/03/2020 21:09

Yes. DH is working from home and I'm NHS. I finished my shift Thursday afternoon and haven't been out of the house since. Due back in work Tuesday.

porpoisey · 22/03/2020 21:09

We went for a walk in the woods. Also went to the supermarket as needed food.

VerbenaGirl · 22/03/2020 21:09

Yes!

Standrewsschool · 22/03/2020 21:09

Been out for the first time since last Sunday. In woods nearby us.

Bouncingbomb · 22/03/2020 21:09

I have stayed at home, since I got home from work on Friday. Now WFH for the foreseeable future and I am one of those who have been advised to stay at home.

I am not planning on leaving the house, I have got a garden, bike on a turbo trainer, rowing machine, food and alcohol. Prescriptions for six weeks.

I am looking for the positives. I will get tons done at home and plan on emerging fitter than I started because I will have more time.

NettleTea · 22/03/2020 21:09

yes. We are in for the longhaul. Daughter on the 12 week list but GP told her 'a few months' on Tuesday. me and her brother are staying in with her.

mummyof2darlings · 22/03/2020 21:10

Yes it's been such good weather we have been in and out of the garden watched a few films and cooked a roast day 3 of being in x

RainbowMum11 · 22/03/2020 21:10

Not been anywhere since Thursday.
Some friends have dropped meals/shopping round but left them outside the front door x

rjebgf · 22/03/2020 21:11

Yes
Removed my kids from school last Monday, stayed home.

applemango9 · 22/03/2020 21:11

Yes, since last Wednesday. I’ve managed to book a delivery slot for foods so I won’t go out next week too. It’s best NOT to go out during this period.

PerkingFaintly · 22/03/2020 21:11

Yes. Completely normal for me, though.

Did get out into the garden, which I don't manage every day.
