Anyone actually stayed at home?

Has anyone just stayed home, not gone out anywhere today?

I’ve kept myself to myself, been back to my empty home (caring for Df) to collect a couple of things

Not been anywhere else, no shopping, no going to the park etc

It’s not easy, but I want to keep safe

Went out to walk the dog, other than that have stayed in

Astraj · 22/03/2020 20:50

Me and my 4 month old baby girl havent been out for 2 weeks already, also havent allowed any visitors.
I have a low immune system due to a knackered spleen so decided to stay in, hubby is still going to work and food shopping when needed.

Wannabangbang · 22/03/2020 20:51

Yes

Mummyshark2018 · 22/03/2020 20:51

Neither myself or dc been out today but dh took dog for a very early morning walk.

AgeLikeWine · 22/03/2020 20:51

I went for a walk, on my own, in a very uncrowded place. I barely saw a soul. Apart from that, I didn’t leave the house.

JenNtonic · 22/03/2020 20:51

Yup

Titsywoo · 22/03/2020 20:51

We went to the woods for a family walk - entered in an area where not many people walk (away from car parking and off the paths). At first it we came across noone else but when we got nearer the main areas discovered there were a lot more people than you'd usually see so we played a great game of dodge the human to get back to the car. Never came more than 10 metres from anyone else but next time we walk we will go somewhere even more remote.

Apart from that we've been home and we have enough food to last a good while so except for walks we will be staying here.

Fishcakey · 22/03/2020 20:51

I walked the dogs around a field and spoke to my mother from the path across from her front door.

SilverySurfer · 22/03/2020 20:53

I last left the house the Friday before last to go to see nurse at surgery. I need to go again tomorrow - I shall wear a scarf over mouth and nose and wear gloves, trying not to touch my face. Then get home, wipe everything down, scarf in wash, hand wash and hope for the best.

missmouse101 · 22/03/2020 20:54

Yes me. Essential journeys only is what we must do. Otherwise stay the fuck at home.

HairyFloppins · 22/03/2020 20:54

Yes not been out in ages now.

Mooserp · 22/03/2020 20:55

I went for a walk early this morning. Only saw a few people and managed to steer clear of them.

Spent most of the afternoon in the garden - was lovely.

GoldenPoppy · 22/03/2020 20:55

Only as far as the wheelie bin. I have to work tomorrow in a customer facing role and have quite bad asthma which is playing up at the moment, worried to be honest

AhoyMrBeaver · 22/03/2020 20:55

Yes, we were at home all day. We got the gardens tidied up and sat in the sun. I've got to go to work as usual this week, so I really enjoyed spending time with DH and the kids.

Hoping I'll be able to do the same next week. I want the garden to be brilliant this year because we'll be spending an awful lot of time in it.

Crazybunnylady123 · 22/03/2020 20:56

Been nowhere since Wednesday. Apart from going to get my whooping cough jab because I’m pregnant.
I have to see my midwife next week and that’s the only time I’m venturing out. Dp is a key worker and he’s only going to work.

redastherose · 22/03/2020 20:56

Yesterday to walk the dog only no contact other than to say hello from a distance to other dog walkers, today 1 shop to collect something I ordered by phone, paid by contactless and also walked the dog with DP and DD2.

AliBear90 · 22/03/2020 20:56

Yes, we’ve stayed home. Looked after our baby and when she’s napped DH and I have gone to play in the garden with a football to keep us entertained. Not finding it difficult at all tbh. If I didn’t need food and to work I’d happily do this as long as i needed to for it to be safe again out there.

Sn0tnose · 22/03/2020 20:57

I’ve been indoors since Tuesday afternoon. We went out today to get some shopping for my mum (Sainsbury’s was quiet, even for a Sunday. No loo roll, no chicken and no lemonade but loads of everything else) and I’ll be going out tomorrow morning to get her prescription for her, then I anticipate staying in until she needs more groceries.

DH has been out every day (he works in a supermarket) but neither of us have been out for any other reason.

UnaCorda · 22/03/2020 20:59

I pooped to supermarket yesterday, not been anywhere today

Hope you hadn't run out of toilet paper. Grin

Delatron · 22/03/2020 20:59

You are allowed out to exercise.... just stay away from people...
Unless you are in an at risk group I think it’s pretty unhealthy to be cooped up indoors.

I haven’t been anywhere in public this weekend but I have done a run with the dog on Saturday and a long run today. I would feel pretty lethargic if I was indoors all day not doing any exercise.

Haven’t been to the shops etc.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 22/03/2020 21:01

I had to nip into work and pick something up before the building closed (for god knows how long) on Friday, not been out since. It’s not unusual for us to have whole weekends at home, but today I felt really twitchy and desperate to be out. Thank goodness we have a garden.

MangoesAreMyFavourite · 22/03/2020 21:01

Took DD out for a quick walk in the local playing fields. Kept well away from everyone and we were back in 15 minutes.
Other than that I haven't been out the front door since collecting the kids on Friday.

We haven't been anywhere non essential for about 10 days now.

TeeBee · 22/03/2020 21:01

Me, it's fabulous.

Slazengerbag · 22/03/2020 21:01

I haven’t been anywhere apart from the garden since Boris made the announcement on Monday evening about all family members isolating for 14 days.

MyBabyBoyBlue · 22/03/2020 21:03

Yes, we haven't left the house for 6 days. Will need to venture out to the shops at some point this week though as starting to run low on food. We wont be making trips anywhere else though. Stay at home means stay at home!
