Day 3 - Flu like symptons, achey joings, fatigue, chills, slight cough but felt better than Day 3
Day 4 - Perked up, still a slight cough but more energetic, chest 'ache'
Day 5 - Back to flu like symptoms, burning lungs sensation and ache around bra line began, upper back ache
Day 6 - Pains in chest area (intermittent), cough, fever, very heavy achey chest, trouble sleeping, bit breathless, can't lie on my back as painful
Day 7 - Increase of Day 7 symptoms, pains got sharper in chest
Day 8 - Same as day 7, fever, breathless, can't lie on my back

Day 17: very breathless, I do have asthma so they have given me a different inhaler which is stronger. Hoping to feel better soon!

KingaRoo · 27/03/2020 12:07

I woke up feeling great! Now chest tightness is back and headache/sinus pain but nose is very dry as someone else reported upthread. Also really tired but am trying to work and homeschool my kids so that would make most people tired.

Bellsandwhistle · 27/03/2020 12:08

Good article stealthtoast I’m day 13 I think and have felt I need fresh air. I’ve continued to walk around outside for 30/45 min a day and I think that’s really helped me. Once or twice I didn’t think I could but once out the fresh air boosted me. I’ve almost all windows open too.

blossombabies · 27/03/2020 12:08

@space that is good, i couldn't count to 3 without having a choking fit. at one point i couldn't measure my oral temp because i was coughing without stopping for 24h a day. it was horrible but i feel so much better now. i would say it has been about 12-13 days as i didn't count properly but sunday i went downhill rapidly and couldn't get a breath in. after Iv antibiotics and normal antibiotics few days later my chest felt so light and full of air.
i still cough but occasionally and its a productive cough now.
please bear in mind i was diagnosed with viral chest inf (lower lung pneumonia) and didnt have a test for covid19 as they said they could only confirm with a test which i didnt have as i was stable to be sent home. i was told to keep my mask on at all times until i get home and isolate for 2 weeks.

HebeMumsnet · 27/03/2020 12:12

Just wanted to pop in with Flowers for you all. This all sounds horrible. Wishing you all, and your loved ones, a speedy recovery.

Spacecadetagain · 27/03/2020 12:18

@blossombabies oh god you poor thing . I had left lower lobe pneumonia 15 years ago and it was horrific .. the thought of going to hospital terrifies me in case it’s not CV but I end up catching it there

Moonbaby321 · 27/03/2020 12:20

Can I please join you guys?

Symptoms:
Monday: Diarrhea and sore throat

Tuesday: Diarrhea and sore throat and tiredness

Wednesday: Weird occasional burning feeling in my right side of my chest, no diarrhoea, chest feeling tight and getting a bit breathless

Thursday: Woke up at 3.30am with horrendous diarrhoea. Really breathless today, filled in the 'Ask my GP' online form to ask for an inhaler and even though I requested an email response the GP phoned me and sent two but looking at the Pharmacy2U portal they won't get here for nearly 2 weeks!! I know they are desperately stretched but my DH could have collected one as the pharmacy is only round the corner. GP told me that if I get worse with my breathing to phone them back during the day or phone 999 if at night. I'm not typically asthmatic per se but I have had occasional periods where I have been.

Friday: Mild diarrhoea but I feel better today and my chest is still a bit tight but better. I know though that this generally means that things are going to get hairy from hereonin and I wish I had a bloody inhaler.

I just lost my Dad 5 weeks ago and my Mum is staying with us and I am petrified of losing her and can't go near her so am locked up in my room.

Casino218 · 27/03/2020 12:22

@PoorlyWeasels your family need to self isolate for 14 days. He may spread virus when asymptotic to people in the supermarket!

hollytom · 27/03/2020 12:22

Just got my antibiotics I have been prescribed two different ones anyone else had that?

Spacecadetagain · 27/03/2020 12:24

@hollytom which ones have you been prescribed ?

hollytom · 27/03/2020 12:27

Amoxicillin and clarithromycin

hollytom · 27/03/2020 12:29

Also my GP did the count to 30 test

everythingisginandroses · 27/03/2020 12:41

Day 11. I am unbelievably exhausted. Scared myself for a bit by wondering if I am under-oxygenated, but I can count to 30 before taking a breath, so thank you chaps Flowers

Spacecadetagain · 27/03/2020 12:48

@hollytom ahh Clarithromycin is used for pneumonia .. chest infections etc and Amoxycillin is a broad spectrum but quite often given for chest infections so both is a double whammy and should anything going on there into touch . How did you do in your count to thirty test ?

hollytom · 27/03/2020 12:51

@Spacecadetagain I can’t remember except I had to take a couple of breaths and started coughing! That’s good to know what the antibiotics are for thanks

Spacecadetagain · 27/03/2020 12:52

@hollytom hopefully you’ll start to notice a difference once the antibiotics kick in !

reece2009 · 27/03/2020 12:55

I've just found this tread, i'm starting to panic as i was told on a Tuesday by NHS111 that i'm showing symptoms. But i don't and hopefully won't have any breathing difficulties. I started on Monday the 23rd anarchist, with a headache and slight cough, temp went up and stayed up until yesterday, no temp since and headache gone, cough still here , but the fatigue i feel is abnormal, i get up thinking i'm fine and then i've to lay down again, my taste buds are completely gone and i thought maybe that's my body recovering, please tell me more is not to come as i don't think my body will be able to fight it. sending prayers and healing to you all ❤️x

reece2009 · 27/03/2020 12:56

*March not Anarchist 🤦🏼‍♀️

CourtneyB123 · 27/03/2020 12:58

Can someone who's experienced this tell me If they have recovered from the burning of the lungs? I've been bed bound all week just started to pick up today day 17 symptoms and just looking for a silver lining and some confidence that there is an end in sight

user34254356 · 27/03/2020 12:59

@everythingisginandroses I am Day 10 and just went out to garden and walked back three floors to the bedroom. I am totally wiped out and breathless for a good minute.

When did people see a marked change in their energy levels and breathlessness?

longshot · 27/03/2020 13:02

@reece2009 on the fatigue I have been like that, not every day but certainly most. It’s day 17 for me and I started off ok but now feel utterly terrible again. Exhausted, shaky, jelly legs and tingling. I am 38 and very fit and healthy and this floored me.

Littleninja1 · 27/03/2020 13:05

Checking in on day 15. Chest pain is back and back pain is especially bad. Paracetamol not touching it.

Breathing is better than previously. Still light headed on and off.

I'm unsure what to do. Seen the post about exercising helps but I can only walk a few steps as I can't breathe. What exercise should I do?

I thought others were the same as me but seems most people are still working or doing regular things like housework at least. I've been in my bed for a week. Sitting in a chair for a couple hours tends to exhaust me.

Littleninja1 · 27/03/2020 13:09

@Moonbaby321 how awful for you losing your dad and now this on top. Thinking of you Flowers

reece2009 · 27/03/2020 13:09

@longshot I am so confused by everyone's different symptoms and time off their feet. This is scary, some have recovered within 7 days but i just can't move with this fatigue and i've never been like this. Day 17 for you 😱, god please i don't think i can cope with this for another 12 days . I'm only on day 5 😫, I hope and pray you are on your feet soon ❤️x

Spacecadetagain · 27/03/2020 13:11

I’m finding even walking upstairs is exhausting
