Hi all, new thread as we'd neared the end of the other.

I thought it might be useful to list symptoms we are having / have had:

Day 1 - Diarrhea (mild), slight aches and pains
Day 2 - Flu like symptons, achey joints, fatigue, chills, slight cough, slight chest discomfort, upper back ache
Day 3 - Flu like symptons, achey joings, fatigue, chills, slight cough but felt better than Day 3
Day 4 - Perked up, still a slight cough but more energetic, chest 'ache'
Day 5 - Back to flu like symptoms, burning lungs sensation and ache around bra line began, upper back ache
Day 6 - Pains in chest area (intermittent), cough, fever, very heavy achey chest, trouble sleeping, bit breathless, can't lie on my back as painful
Day 7 - Increase of Day 7 symptoms, pains got sharper in chest
Day 8 - Same as day 7, fever, breathless, can't lie on my back
Day 9 - Feverish, exhausted, achey limbs, chest easing
Day 10 - Feverish, exhausted, achey limbs, chest easing, sore boobs
Day 11 - No fever, felt a bit better, mild chest ache, slight cough
Day 12 - today, exhausted, no fever, chest easing

@longshot I think we are both about 3 weeks in, yeah I still have all the horrible chest symptoms...not nice Xxx

EMichel102 · 27/03/2020 08:32

@tangledyarn thank you! Yes I have that same exact situation you describe on all levels. And it doesn’t help with sleeping - nights are the worst and then I panic I’m not rested! Good to hear your gradually getting better you think even though it’s up and down. I think I can handle 3 weeks but 6 weeks seems so crazy to me so here’s to hoping we all improve before that Smile

Lifesavesocialdistance · 27/03/2020 08:34

I'm finding going to sleep hard, worrying what state I will wake up in. This morning a very mild sore throat.

Is this is or will it get worse that's my worry!

EMichel102 · 27/03/2020 08:34

@longshot I’m only on day 11 but just to say I experience the same chest tightness at times, heart burn feel. Can’t believe how long this I’ll SES takes! Hopefully we’re out of the woods though in terms of a really bad condition / version as I imagine it would have happened earlier?

ofwarren · 27/03/2020 08:34

I slept for 8 hours, sweated massively but still no temperature.
I feel, dare I say it, ok this morning.
It's day 4 for me.
I'm coughing more but it's moving phlegm rather than dry.
The burning is still there, but milder.
I'm still weak and a bit achy.
I'm expecting a relapse later but is it possible I'm already over the worst as yesterday was dreadful.

victorioussponges · 27/03/2020 08:38

Anyone else with a pretty much constant sore throat and headache? It's been a couple of weeks now. Every now and again some shortness of breath. Can't think what else it would be Confused

Have you all seen thus symptoms tracker research ap?

I had a dreadful night with fever and nausea. Managed some paracetamol at 6 and slept for a couple of hours. Also many trips to the loo in the night. If it wasn’t for the burning chest I’d think I had nasty stomach bug.

Feel bit better now but I felt better yesterday morning too.

user34254356 · 27/03/2020 08:45

@longshot would it be worth it to have an x-ray? that might however require a trip to A and E

starrysimon · 27/03/2020 08:47

Don’t want to start a new thread just for this hopefully someone here can help! I’m 36 weeks pg and have been showing most of the symptoms (apart from a fever/temp) since Saturday. I’ve become gradually worse and it’s just completely knocked me today. No appetite and feels like my throat is on fire. DM is pressuring me to ring the maternity unit but I know there’s not much they can do until I struggle with breathing. Not got a mobile number for my midwife and the base was closed down over a week ago now. Do I just ride it out and call the unit when my breathing becomes affected?

IpanemaGallina · 27/03/2020 08:50

I’ve opened all windows in bedroom. Nice to feel fresh air. The dog has come to isolate with me. It’s nice to see another face.

Howdidthathappen1 · 27/03/2020 08:52

Has anyone experienced painful sinuses? I've got the sweats then chills (No thermometer) headache, severe aching and fatigue but no chest tightness. These symptoms came on Wednesday eve and yesterday I felt so I'll. This morn my sinuses are so painful - I've had sinusitis once a few years ago - so I'm now wondering if in the middle of a pandemic my body has decided to be obtuse and get a completely different illness!
All the aching and fatigue is still there but that could be from infection. Still no chest tightness

Casino218 · 27/03/2020 08:58

@longshot here again! Yes I'm day 18 and have this. I spoke with my GP this am and he says after talking to lots and lots of patients he thinks hubby and I have it. I rang him about my pains and he said it could take 6 weeks to come round from this. He said unless I have high temp 40 plus productive cough he would not prescribe antibiotics but if I do should call back.

EMichel102 · 27/03/2020 08:59

@starrysimon I found that it did get worse before it gets a bit better. Might be worth having a phone chat with the maternity nurse or a GP for your own reassurance - I found having a phone chat with my GP helped with the anxiety of it.

@Howdidthathappen1 my sinuses are affected but do you mean pressure? It’s more a general headache all over my head than sinus. I found my nostrils / Nose cavity is extra dry and sensitive though.

Howdidthathappen1 · 27/03/2020 09:04

Yes it's pressure in my sinuses - I'm not sure if they're in infected as my face feels hot with it. Although I'm feeling a tiny bit brighter today - yesterday I just slept and hurt- my throat is a bit sore.
I'm in mental health and was in and out of a&e at the weekend so I'm thinking it's gotta be covid really rather than sinusitis.

IpanemaGallina · 27/03/2020 09:14

Just completed COVID tracker.

Stealthtoast · 27/03/2020 09:33

If you don't have cough or fever, when are you all counting from? I'm on day 5/8/12 depending on what I pick! I think 8 is most reasonable so going to start having a bit more contact with the DC

Tempnamelady · 27/03/2020 09:35

I’ve just had phone consult with doc and he’s prescribed me anti biotics . He said that they are seeing a follow up bacterial illness after a weeks symptoms. Thank god as I’ve had no sleep whatsoever

user34254356 · 27/03/2020 09:37

For those day 10 or past - even though we are all still feeling quite floored, can we assume we are past the danger zone? This is raising my anxiety levels that I end up being hospitalised but hoping that once i am day 11 or over then likelihood becomes low?

EMichel102 · 27/03/2020 09:47

@user34254356 I really hope so and think so yes. I think the danger of breathing difficulties / body truly struggling is past and it’s about very slow recovery. But I’m not an MD or expert! This is also my fear. What day are you on?

SquashedFlyBiscuit · 27/03/2020 09:54

Antibiotics only really work if its turned mucusy?

user34254356 · 27/03/2020 09:56

@EMichel102 i am on Day 10 now. I have a productive cough now this morning so hoping the antibiotics can clear it up rather than me ending up at hospital

onlinelinda · 27/03/2020 10:00

I've had antibiotics already. Doctor says yesterday to start more if mucus gets worse, but only a bit this week. To keep an eye.

I'm counting from the first symptoms, as I went to bed with chills, on Sunday 15th. So day 13.

Spacecadetagain · 27/03/2020 10:06

Morning everyone . I am feeling worse today . Coughing a lot since I woke up and coughing up mucous .. feeling a bit freaked out .. wondering whether it’s worth asking for antibiotics ?

Spacecadetagain · 27/03/2020 10:11

I can’t decide what day I’m on as it’s day 14 from first day of temperature but only day ten from first day of feeling properly I’ll .. this is worrying me as I’ve seen this is the time when you can take a turn for the worse .. I’m really freaked out as live alone with two dcs
