He’s listening to his advisors but I guarantee you that they did not tell him we’d be on the right side of this in 12 weeks’ time

He is an appalling, shambolic communicator who could say what he needs to in 30% of the time it takes him to ruffle that fucking hair and hem and haw repeatedly. I think we did once deserve better but if the past few years have shown anything it’s that this is what we get for being a nation of mostly racist, selfish, underinformed arseholes.

I have to disagree - i am actually very impressed with how he is handling the matter, I am also very impressed with his technical experts. No one is going to keep absolutely everyone happy - but he is doing a good job at trying. He didn’t have ‘new’ news today - but the point is that he is putting himself out there to answer questions every day and let people know he is there, something I think it good for the country to have. Where he isn’t sure of an answer - he quite happily uses his technical experts - the right thing to do. He said he wants it to be informal, he obviously wants to answer the questions quite openly, but some things are still being worked / aren’t a priority right now so they won’t have answers yet.
