As much as I loathe the man I wouldn’t want to be in his job for all the money in the world.
And he’s right. The more people take personal responsibility the less measures the government will have to introduce to make the difference.
Last week people were clammering for schools to shut. Now that they are people are complaining about it.
Now they’re going on about going into lockdown, shutting all cafe’s and restaurants, I have no doubt that if that happens they’ll complain about that as well.
People talk so casually on here about how we need to do this and that to combat the virus but with no thought to the collateral damage which will come from those measures. Financial crisis, hardship, increased debt, increased suicide
People might as wel be saying “oh well, being made redundant and unable to feed your family is a small price to pay. Be grateful you’re still alive. And I believe that many MN’ers think the same.
