My lungs feel like they are on fire. Anyone else

I was on here last week saying it was all an over reaction. I am one who usually tries not to panic. And that is what I was thinking. It is not good to panic people. I also thought that it was blown up in the media. Well. Now I am sick myself. So I have learned - it is actually happening. I am scared

I have been ill for three days, chest pains, - heavy breathing. And what is very scary to me - my lungs feel like they are on fire. It is a feeling that I have never felt before. I am really scared. Where I am - I am being told to self isolate. If it gets more serious - I will go in somewhere.

But I am really scared. Does anyone else feel like their lungs are on fire? Is anone else sick

@KayakingOnDown

Thank you for replying. I have been socially isolating anyway.

Also, does any one have dizziness with it

IWantToBreakFreee · 20/03/2020 19:18

It's crazy that they are not testing

Mydogdoesntlisten · 20/03/2020 19:24

@longshot- YES. To the point where I was wondering if I was pregnant (although definitely not).
Back to normal now.
This is all very strange.

TolstoyAteMyHamster · 20/03/2020 19:27

ILikTheBred I have lost my sense of taste and smell. I’ve had an intermittent dry cough, temperature for the first 36 hours and now just feel a bit under the weather and breathless. I assume I have it but who knows.

TolstoyAteMyHamster · 20/03/2020 19:27

Oh, and a weird taste in my mouth. Can’t taste food, can taste...something.

Mydogdoesntlisten · 20/03/2020 19:34

I think we can probably all assume we have the same virus- it's just a bit frustrating not knowing which one!
It would be brilliant to know because firstly, the list of symptoms may have to be expanded which would obviously help those who may need to self isolate and secondly because it would make it easier to know whether we can carry on at work etc., help parents etc. etc.

I feel slightly better this evening. Lucozade (the orange one) is my go to cure for most things and sipping it definitely helps.
Scared and paranoid I’m going to relapse but taking each day as it comes.
5yo DD has the worst chesty/productive cough. Me, DH and DS all take his strength Vit D, she has a lower dose in a vitamin gummy.

Littleninja1 · 20/03/2020 20:00

Yes @longshot I have sore boobs too!

I'm still getting better then worse again. Chest very heavy. Can't walk far without being out of breath. Speaking is tiring. Still getting chills.

Phoned GP today. Amazingly they answered straight away and the GP called me quickly. She said it could be C19 but we can't know without going to A&E and I am definitely not doing that unless I think I absolutely have to.

My teeth ache as well. Just everything aches really, ha!

EricaNernie · 20/03/2020 20:01

i was dizzy earlier, put it down to anxiety, went out for a walk and felt more normal

Littleninja1 · 20/03/2020 20:01

@coronade so sorry to hear about your aunt. Sending good thoughts Flowers

longshot · 20/03/2020 20:15

@littleninja1 - what day are you on?

Weird we all have sore boobs!

Littleninja1 · 20/03/2020 20:30

@longshot I can't totally remember, day 7 or 8. I've been at home over a week. It feels a long time. Even with flu I've always felt significantly better in that time. Started getting a bit of a cough today and a headache. Nothing awful, just noticeable.

What day are you on?

VivaLeBeaver · 20/03/2020 20:34

I thought I was feeling better today but have got short of breath this evening and now started coughing.

SquashedFlyBiscuit · 20/03/2020 20:36

Im worse at night. I spend half the day thinking I'll be okay and get scared at night again.

Cailleach · 20/03/2020 20:42

Yes to the dizziness, especially when bending down.

TheYearOfTheDog · 20/03/2020 20:45

Does anybody ring you back to make sure you're stable?

clairethewitch70 · 20/03/2020 20:48

Day 16. Breathlessness and chest soreness all over again. A whole day without symptoms yesterday and it has relapsed yet again

clairethewitch70 · 20/03/2020 20:50

Kayaking - counting from first signs of illness. Yes I have underlying conditions. Fibromyalgia always take me longer to get over things

TheYearOfTheDog · 20/03/2020 20:51

@angell84 hope you're ok. I'm in Ireland too so if you have the energy/inclination, let me know how ''connected'' you feel to The System. I know it's a small thing but after you rang the gp, did they ring you back for even five minutes to find out if you were getting better or worse.

Thank god for the internet really because if you were going through this on your own without knowing what was ''normal'' it'd be so much scarier.

Casino218 · 20/03/2020 21:09

Take care all keep in touch on here if worried. I am no corona virus expert but respiratory nursing background so may be able to allay a fear here or there.

hollieberrie · 20/03/2020 21:23

Yes yes to sore boobs and thinking I as pregnant!

TheYearOfTheDog · 20/03/2020 21:27

What day (roughly) did you get sore boobs?

findingschools4myboys · 20/03/2020 21:29

I am having a panic attack. Suddenly felt really dizzy when I got up to get more water and now feel like I can’t get a deep enough breath without a successful yawn. Not fun!

HanaHeya · 20/03/2020 21:46

@findingschools breathe in through your nose deeply, out through your mouth ... 4-5 seconds each way. You can do it, you know what it is and know it will pass xx

longshot · 20/03/2020 21:49

@TheYearOfTheDog I think yesterday so day 8/9 for me

@findingschools4myboys hang in there, i was like that this afternoon too but it has passed.
