My lungs feel like they are on fire. Anyone else

I was on here last week saying it was all an over reaction. I am one who usually tries not to panic. And that is what I was thinking. It is not good to panic people. I also thought that it was blown up in the media. Well. Now I am sick myself. So I have learned - it is actually happening. I am scared

I have been ill for three days, chest pains, - heavy breathing. And what is very scary to me - my lungs feel like they are on fire. It is a feeling that I have never felt before. I am really scared. Where I am - I am being told to self isolate. If it gets more serious - I will go in somewhere.

But I am really scared. Does anyone else feel like their lungs are on fire? Is anone else sick

@Orangeblossom78 thank you, how long did it take you to start feeling mostly better? Ie get out of bed every day? Also do you remember when the fevers stopped at all?!

I will let you know how she does. Symptoms started Thursday. In hospital with pneumonia on Wednesday.

New to this site. My symptoms started on Monday when I had a loss of appetite, acid reflux , nausea and a temperature. Came home phoned NHS111 said to self isolate. Since then had diarrhoea and occasional stabbing pains in breast bone and some back ache and feeling hit and flushed . On Day five now felt a lot better this morning now going down again Just started to have a tingling feeling in my chest but no sore throat . I have had a cough for over two weeks when I had a sore throat and coughing fit one nigh and then lost my voice and I still have that cough. Taking heart from this thread at the moment that I can get through this.

my cough is a lot better today. have a lot of pain in my chest and feel breathless as soon as im out of bed. last night had slightly raised fever but today nothing. i look a lot better than i did yesterday i looked like death last night

Sorry to hear about your aunt! Wishing her a speedy recovery!!

I just can't shake off the fever. I've convinced myself that once temperature is normal again then my body has started to fight back.
Back, chest and breathing is bad again.
And since I'm about 10/11 days in I'm getting a bit worried.

Update on my symptoms and I feel I have suddenly developed sinusitis. I have banging head ache below my brows , constant throat clearing and sinuses are on fire and blocked.

notangelinajolie - fever is your body fighting this off. Your immune system is sorting this out. Sleep, eat well and try to relax.

NAC = Acetylcysteine. You can pick it up online / amazon and pretty cheap.

@notangelinajolie that is exactly how I feel, also say 10. At least we are in the same boat?!

@ShastaBeast I think that’s true about fever although my GP friend just said that a fever on day 10 is unusual however perhaps with CV it’s not. Of course as yet they don’t know.

I’ve read that loss of taste and smell can be a symptom on Twitter. Just wondering if anyone here can verify that?

So symptoms started last Friday with the extremely heavy chest and sore throat. Had a bit of a reprieve on weds/Thurs, back again with a vengeance today, coughing and upset stomach. Work insist we come in. I'm staying home next week. I've had enough

I have had an awful metallic/blood taste in my mouth for the past 48 hours after getting stomach and back pain, with a tight chest

I have had a tight chest, heartburn, painful upper back and can't take deep breath. I am starting to panic a bit but don't know if the deep breath and tight check is anxiety. I feel like I have sinusitis too.

IWant- I had similar symptoms starting about three weeks ago, now pretty much resolved but I wasn't tested.

@IWantToBreakFreee those are Covid symptoms. I have had a diagnosis from my GP but they are not testing people unless they are seriously ill in hospital. My GP thinks that is nuts and is hoping for more testing soon.

I think there may be 1 or 2 but I think the majority believe they have it.
Your symptoms sound very similar to most peoples on this thread.

I seem to have started with that itchy eye thing and cough nearly 11 days ago.

Feel like someone has put a band around my chest and is squeezing it.

Tired had to go back to bed this pm. Jittery. Sick of this cough. No temp though but occasionally feel hotter so that's odd.

Also this is odd but does anyone else’s boobs hurt / feel a bit sore? I’m deffo not pregnant!! I have had this before I think with a virus.

Now feeling chilled rather than hot (have only had occasional flashes of temperature throughout). My legs are freezing. Odd moments of faintness too. Cough not bad at all but then I've not been moving about much for a few hours.

@longshot yes I keep looking for your post because I'm aware we seemed to be at same point. My boobs hurt too. Headaches too. I don't know if I'm jittery because I look at and read things re Italy and feel anxious.
