I'm worried about the lack of UK testing!! Eventually our death rate is going to look absolutely horrific in comparison to other nations if we don't actually begin testing properly again
Guess what? They don't test properly here, either. In fact, you have to have a cough, a fever PLUS at least one of a list of additional issues to get tested.
And yet this place has somehow managed the "achievement" of having the second highest per capita count behind Italy. Which is definitely an underestimate. I'm really pretty sure I have it at this point (as is my GP, for that matter). My boss looks like death and coughs a lot more than me (on video calls, we're not insane here). No idea what he has - but he's clearly not well and if my GP is reasonably certain I have it and him and I were working closely together until the week before last ... well, it doesn't precisely take a genius! Plus there are the other 20 people we used to regularly work closely with. And everyone's families. None of us got tested.
So, if despite this the per capita infection rate is through the roof ... we're kind of possibly quite fucked around here.
Myself, boss, colleagues and family will do just fine. But I'm using us as illustration for why I'm guesstimating the resl figures to be higher yet.
