Thought this petition was such a good idea! The amount of old people I saw this morning in tescos looking completely overwhelmed was rediculous. Felt so sorry for them

ofwarren · 15/03/2020 14:31

Exactly that hippo
We will have kids with measles, tonsillitis, scarlet fever and manner of other illnesses that won't be seen!
I just can't risk going outside.
We have literally been home for 15 days.
I don't know what else to do.

SistemaAddict · 15/03/2020 14:31

@AHippoNamedBooBooButt he needs to be seen at the hospital. I hope he's better soon Thanks

Angryrant55 · 15/03/2020 14:33

jenny hill - Germany is to close its borders with France, Austria and Switzerland as of tomorrow 8am local. Reportedly - commuters and goods traffic exempt

meow1989 · 15/03/2020 14:33

@hippo how is ds in himself? Any rash or photo phobia? Is he passing urine? Does his mouth look moist? Any aches? I think you need to call 111 and insist he is at least given an ooh go appointment. Coronavirus is not the only virus that can cause a high temperature and 4 days in he needs a review.

ItsAHardKn0ckLife1 · 15/03/2020 14:33

My DCs school haven’t even bothered to issue a post about the self isolation for cough/fever... just reiterating that they won’t be closing. Some of the mums I spoke to in the yard on Friday hadn’t even heard of the 7 day self isolation guidance?? I despair, I really do

MurrayTheMonk · 15/03/2020 14:33

Statutory sick pay is. Under my teams t and c they get sick pay. But not until day 3.

DaisyDoo09 · 15/03/2020 14:34

The figures are normally out by now aren't they ?

I feel like im in a bad dream, none of my friends are worried. Just me.

BarbedBloom · 15/03/2020 14:34

94 cases in Wales now

AHippoNamedBooBooButt · 15/03/2020 14:35

@beijingbikini my dd is sitting her gcses this summer so has been studying what happens to a body when the temperature goes too high and she keeps telling us how dangerous this is. But I feel a&e will reject us especially as we can and do get it to come down and he is not severely ill (still watching tv and YouTube etc).
I've just checked and it's down to 40.8

MacronsPensWiper · 15/03/2020 14:35

I had to battle to see doctor about my dd chest.

Had to prove its on the going issue..
Once there I asked if there anything I could have for future few months in case something happens. He said no she would need to seen.

namechangemania · 15/03/2020 14:36

I went to the gym this morning and it was so quiet. Swimming pool was also unusually quiet. Heaps of cars pouring into the supermarket though

Lotuscup563 · 15/03/2020 14:37

Why are the figures taking a while? Don’t they normally say at 2pm?

BeijingBikini · 15/03/2020 14:37

I don't think A&E can just reject you, if you turn up then you have to be seen, right? If it's not deemed super serious then you might have to wait couple of hours but they see everyone

namechangemania · 15/03/2020 14:38

The figures are late today. They haven’t been this late since a week or so ago.

Keepmeawayfromthecrisps · 15/03/2020 14:38

153 in Scotland

Janemarpling · 15/03/2020 14:38

Why not Scotland? Why only England?

VivaLeBeaver · 15/03/2020 14:39

I’ve stopped going to the gym. Apparently they’re 200 members per day down. Not sure what that is a percentage but it looked deserted when I was outside it earlier. Car park nearly empty and nobody in the main gym at all.

MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet · 15/03/2020 14:39

It makes me nervous when they run late...

Lotuscup563 · 15/03/2020 14:40

Link to the Scotland and Wales figures please. Are UK on there too?

cinammonbuns · 15/03/2020 14:40

Does anyone know if there is a minimum time you have to be working somewhere to qualify for sick pay?

Angryrant55 · 15/03/2020 14:40

Darren McCaffrey - 'LATEST number of cases in Spain jumped to 7,753, 35% increase on previous day’s total of 5,753.

Overall, 288 people have died to date - more than double the number on Saturday.

Currently 382 people are in intensive care, while 517 people have recovered.'

AHippoNamedBooBooButt · 15/03/2020 14:40

@meow1989 he's like a normal kid with a fever. He's tired and lethargic and completely off his food but he is still watching tv (we've had to watch the Peter rabbit movie about a dozen times over the last 4 days!), he's watching youtube on his tablet, he even drew a picture this morning. He is drinking absolutely loads which is good. It goes in waves, sometimes he is absolutely great and almost normal ish and you think he's getting over it and the next his temp massively spikes and he just wants to sleep.

georgeggg · 15/03/2020 14:41

MurrayTheMonk yes I'm sure many are but Boris Johnson changed this, it is now paid from day 1 for everyone.
