Why do you think that? Italy locked down a week from where we are now, and as terrible as it is there, they are no where near 5k deaths?

For testing of all those showing CV symptoms, including NHS workers which currently isn't being done. Therefore no way of knowing the true figures of CV or if healthcare workers have contracted it.

Healthcare workers aren't being given PPE and aren't being tested for CV as per the guidelines given on Thursday. They could be passing it on to HCP's. How is that going to alleviate the pressure on the NHS?

Someone posted about giving adult paracetamol to older children. What was the amount please. Daughter can’t get any for her 10 year.

Two business I know will be closing on Monday, the staff don't know. All the work that was scheduled for the next six months has been cancelled, whilst there is cash reserves they know they will disappear quickly, by closing tomorrow they can pay a little of the redundancy and their smaller suppliers.

Same here, I was told calpol 6+ was selling out so tried to get some today just in case needed and failed

Trying to tell an 70 year old in London it's likely her kids in Essex won't be allowed to visit her in a lock down is hard work. She only knows other elderly people near her - we 2 busses away. No internet access.

@Coquohvan Regarding paracetamol, my daughter who is 9 takes the tablets as she reacts to Calpol. The pharmacist told us for a 9 year old the dose is half a tablet. For a 10 year old the dose is on the box I have 1 tablet. 500mg

Poor Italy 😨 those figures just keep rising, it's awful to see daily. The same could be happening here only our government have chosen not to tell us the true picture!

The reality of all this is refusing to sink in. However I am keeping my kids off school now. My mums cousin who had pneumonia passed away today. I still don't know if it was bacterial or viral. She's not someone I knew but I'm sad for the rest of the family.

Day two of symptoms for me and it has been pretty steady on the 'mild' front. However I got a bit breathless after deciding to clean the skirting boards in the kitchen. I need to feel I am doing something and I've decided that if I can I'll spend 30 minutes each day on something I have been neglecting to do.

My treat is rereading Wolf Hall. I'm going to work through all three books.
