On Saturdays, my 9 year ASD DS is allowed a McD's happy meal. I never go in, always drive through. I went just now, took antibac wipes and paid by contactless. This is at the local leisure park. I'm in Hertfordshire where we have quite a high number of CV cases and 3 deaths (I think) so far. It was packed. People congregating everywhere. The cinema was heaving, Hollywood Bowl was heaving, the restaurants appear full (think Ask, Nandos), McD's was packed. Here lies the issue. People are not taking this seriously and think it's going to happen to somebody else. There is no apparent effort to socially distance. I have been socially distancing, literally going out if I need to, ninja trips to the local shop, exercise in the remotest spots so I don't come across anybody else (or can keep a good distance at least). DS is still at school where they have been very hot with hygiene and I have been vigilant to the extreme with hand washing, washing his coat and uniform every day and spraying his bag when he comes in. I'm doing what I can under the vague guidance of the Government. Yet what are these other fuckers doing? Sitting shoulder to shoulder at the cinema and picking up bowling balls and then going out for dinner. The mind utterly boggles.
