Urgh....just heard that on Twitter coronavirus is being called ‘Boomer Doomer’ and is being celebrated

ajandjjmum · 13/03/2020 14:00

BramblyHedge
I take Ramipril. Have gone from mildly concerned to very worried this morning.

FacingtheAbess · 13/03/2020 14:01

bigchoc

Taiwans response is utterly breathtaking.

The level of pinning down each and every case is amazing.

80% said they were happy with government response.

@Forgone90 personally I rarely have a cough so it'd be very easy for me to known but others I work with seem to be on a never ending cycle of them.

Horehound · 13/03/2020 14:02

@SubjectMatterExpert no it's being called "boomer remover"

ofwarren · 13/03/2020 14:02

How many extra is that?

RedLentilYellowLentil · 13/03/2020 14:02

No, losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker @AlunWynsKnee. But ramipril is an ACE.

The NHS is already planning for having to cancel things. DD managed to mash her face last week, to the point of needing a titanium plate.
On the night of the accident 999 called back after 8 hours to say they could not come, luckily by then I had retrieved DH and car from training course. An off duty paramedic has seen her and decided she was an ambulance case.

At her surgical assessment appointment yesterday they were noticeably dismayed that her swelling had not gone down enough for surgery next Monday. They hope to do the operation next Thursday as the next window is the Monday after and they may not be operating as normal. They were very open and frank with her, she is a science nerd who asks a lot of questions.

ofwarren · 13/03/2020 14:03

I saw that too lark

208 more!!!! Bloody hell

Horehound · 13/03/2020 14:05

Why are people so shocked at the increase. We KNOW it's going to happen. As we keep being reminded in here: we are on the same trajectory as Italy..

Cockola · 13/03/2020 14:05

208 extra

AlunWynsKnee · 13/03/2020 14:05

Thanks @RedLentilYellowLentil. Bloody Fail. I will make sure my dad knows. And calm down about me. So far my medications are all OK.

Ghostontoast · 13/03/2020 14:06

I’m terrified. I don’t want anyone else to get this and I’ve always feared not been able to breathe myself, don’t want to expire in a tent in a hospital car park.

I wish the UK was following South Korea when it comes to testing.

fedup21 · 13/03/2020 14:06

Why are people so shocked at the increase

People are scared and worried. People feel like the government should have taken decisive steps like most of the other nearby countries have.

JayDot500 · 13/03/2020 14:06

Aren't the stats of those infected now redundant? If Boris is knowingly not testing everyone, what are we supposed to do with these figures?

RedLentilYellowLentil · 13/03/2020 14:06

Slightly gratifying to see that Bolsonaro's got it, after all his posturing. Trump next? Grin

DitheringDoris · 13/03/2020 14:06

@NeurotrashWarrior thank you so much for your reply. Yes it would impact their health, colds turn to chest infections which have resulted in hospital stays. Dc is non verbal and has no literacy skills and unlikely to ever have any. School is basically to learn life skills, socialise and respite for us.
We can easily cope with them at home for an extended period of time.
I’m also considering others, I could avoid dc taking up care and a hospital bed if they did contract it. I’ve got a feeling that every hospital bed will count over the next couple of months.
