Many otherwise young and fit people have health conditions. Most work full-time and lead active productive full lives. Some are HCPs.
There doesn't need to be very drastic measures to mitigate the spread. If nothing else, we don't want to see the NHS overwhelmed.
It wouldn't harm the economy if people who could, worked from home. Many can't but plenty can - but have reluctant employers. We need to utilise technology. Working from home, virtual meetings whenever possible.
We're apparently the fifth largest economy in the world? Can't we afford to set-up a crisis loan or grant to those on zero hours or self-employed who need to self-isolate?
