Conflict in the Middle East

Feel like once the hostages are handed over Israel will start bombing again

It seems too good to be true, a final end to the war.

After all the plans that were announced with regards to annexation and the Israeli far-right government members, I can’t help but feel that once all of the hostages are released Israel will go ham on Gaza.

There will be nothing to stop them bombing everywhere.

No hostages to avoid bombing.

No families pleading with the Israeli ministers.

Israel has broken so many ceasefires and this was with the hostages lives at stake.

I don’t know, but I can’t celebrate with everyone as I don’t believe it will last and my heart says that’s it’s going to get worse.

I don’t agree with extrajudicial executions that is what we are both talking about here, these are not injuries of war, these are in both instances people being shot with their hands tied

Read your own post- I'll c and p for you-

As part of the US-brokered truce, Hamas has handed over the bodies of some of the hostages who died during the course of the war, and Israel has transferred the bodies of two groups of 45 Palestinians killed during the fighting. The exchange was carried out through the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

' Palestinians killed during fighting '

Again, no shock that either sides' human remains show signs of having died a horrific violent death during a war. Have you ever read anything about any war ever?

Everexpanding · 16/10/2025 10:47

Do you understand to use your patronising tone what extra judicial execution means?
executing people with their hands tied is not part of war, shooting them in battle is, executing them with their hands tied is not, if their hands are bound it shows you have captured them, they aren’t a threat to you and are prisoners of war who’s treatment and protection is laid down in International law

I see you still are not mentioning the fact that Hamas are doing this to their own during peace, but still choosing to focus on what no verified reports confirmed Israel might have done during a war. This doesn't surprise me as its obvious that you mainly care about Palestinians killed by Israelis, not Palestinians killed by Palestinians.

These were remains of people killed during a war. I'd fully expect them to show signs of having died a violent death, blindfolded or hands tied or not. If you honestly think this doesn't happen in war, then you really do need to do a bit more reading about the realities of war. People who die fighting in wars do not die peaceful deaths surrounded by their loved ones holding their hands.

I'd fully expect the Israeli bodies returned to be in a similar state. Even though they were hostages, not combatants.

That's the nature of the beast.

What led to the Nazis?

inamarina · 16/10/2025 12:19

How strange, why was my post deleted? For describing what happened in Germany after WWII?

Maybe email MNHQ about it if you feel they made a mistake? They don't always get it right (a lot of things are subjective).

Might try that. Strangely, the post I was replying to by @SpaceRaccoon seems to have been deleted too, which is equally weird.

Looks like Hamas have taken back over and busy executing people in the street. If I’m not mistaken these are the ruling party who should take over Israel according to the placard people.

lets face it, the placard people have no grasp on reality and think the world is run by people like those on the committee of their village fete.

I agree.
They interviewed a chap in London when these marches were taking place.
He was from Iran.
He said all the Pro-Pally gang were deluded. He said that they have absolutely no comprehension whatsoever about what it is like living under a religious dictatorship.🙄

Juuuuust waiting for everyone to go back to what’s left of their homes and for aid workers etc to start to arrive, then they’ll find some excuse to bomb them again.

At least you are honest (unlike the majority of your fellow travellers) in needing Palestinians to die so that you have a stick to beat Israel with.

I've never met an Iranian, male or female, who wasn't super pro Israel.

Wakeuplittlebunnies · 19/10/2025 23:53

It didn’t take long for Israel to start again did it? It’s been killing Palestinians for day. But now it’s bombing them and has put a stop to the aid trucks. Isn’t this what everyone knew was going to happen.

Hamas play no part in this then? Those Israelis attacking themselves again?

Only because Hamas hasn't kept their side of the bargain.

They (Hamas) are 'stalling for time' so they can use those terrorists that Israel has released to them to regroup.

But surely the Palestinians who have been released from captivity are free to group any way they like? If the Russians released Ukrainian prisoners they could rejoin their country in whatever capacity they wanted to.

No of course Palestinian terrorists aren't going to be allowed to regroup. You really think they should be allowed to?

Yet again the Rusdia/Ukraine analogy is ridiculous. Ukrainians are not terrorists. They are soldiers fighting legitimately in a defensive role taken prisoner by an illegal invading force. They have no history of terrorism or stated aim of drstroying Russia.

Are you actually thinking Palestinian terrorists whose stated aim is to destroy Israel and have an extraordinarily poor human rights record are the same as people in Ukraine. If so, can you please explain.

TomeTome · 20/10/2025 07:46

I don’t think it’s up to Israelis to “allow” or not free citizens of the state of Palestine to group how they please.

I think human beings do not need Israel’s permission to interact. It’s almost like you think Gaza is just a bigger jail and Israel are still their jailers? When you free someone they are then free and may do what any of the rest of us can do surely?

It depends on whether you care about the ceasefire or not. It depends on Hamas giving up arms and fucking off, not regrouping and plotting further attacks on Israel.

Do you want the ceasefire to hold?
