Gaza Flotilla - genuine peace activists or Hamas puppets?

It has been reported that these activists have rejected the Italian government and the Vatican's proposal to unload any aid they are carrying in Cyprus, to be transferred peacefully to Gaza.

They seem intent on sailing into a legal blockade in a warzone as a direct provocation to Israel who will be forced to take control of 50 boats and the people on them.

They have made lots of unproven allegations that Israel has attacked their boats which may well be to precursor violent resistance in 'self defence'.

They could be carrying anything, including weapons.

There is quite compelling evidence of Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood connections to this so called humanitarian flotilla, which could be considered perverse in the extreme seeing as Hamas has caused the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Hundreds of Israeli boat owners are being encouraged to counter protest in Navy approved zones (without interfering) as a presence 'a blue and white wall for the hostages'.

What do we think the outcome of this will be with Italian and Spanish Navy vessels in the mix?

This is quite a different situation than the ONE boat in the earlier failed attempt to breach the blockade this year where the 'activists' were peacefully appeased with sandwiches and sent on their way (after refusing to watch footage of Oct 7th).

Well, of course you would think that. It shows that Israel is breaking international law, so instead of admitting that Israel are wrong (which you can do!), you label everyone who is risking their lives as a narcissist and a terrorist.

Or highlighting the man made famine and genocide in Palestine.

Because 2 solid years of relentless news coverage, marches, acts of terrorism and antisemitism isn’t enough?

I think they are brave peace activists... It's so easy to sit around doing nothing to help - watching the news and saying 'how awful' and then forgetting about it.

After Israel attacked the last flotilla, several countries have sent ships to protect the flotilla this time. So they’ve opened the eyes of multiple governments to the breaking of international law.

Because, eventually, Israel will have to relent. The world is turning against them and soon enough, they’ll have to allow proper aid to flow into Gaza.

These are desperate, starving people. Do you really think they’ll greet the boat waving scarves and singing their thanks? It’s very likely they would storm the boat resulting in a human crush, or find a hiding place they could smuggle themselves back in. The crew are vulnerable to being taken hostage themselves under false pretences by Hamas, which would have unthinkable consequences. You’re all utterly mad

Are these the people who claimed Israel struck their boat woth a drone attack and it turned out they were hit by a flare they sent up themselves and set fire to their own boat. Think it was the Tunisian government who had to clarify what had happened before their population started to believe that Israel had attacked. I think they are basically just idiots tbh.

There was something about a problem their Gaza reps had with LGBT support so some people quit the organisation.

I’m all for increased aid going to Gaza but this lot are utter muppets. i feel embarrassed for them.

The poster didn't say it was. Of course it is not automatically antisemitic to criticise Israel. But it can be. And criticism of Israel often is motivated by antisemitism. As , often (if unwittingly), is the immediate rush to mention criticism of Israel when someone mentions antisemitism - a reflex named the Livingstone Formulation.

It doesn’t matter what your political views are. The whole flotilla thing is clearly pointless.

They can’t ‘challenge’ the IDF.

They won’t deliver an ounce of aid.
