Gaza Flotilla - genuine peace activists or Hamas puppets?

TicklishMauveSquid · 27/09/2025 22:36

It has been reported that these activists have rejected the Italian government and the Vatican's proposal to unload any aid they are carrying in Cyprus, to be transferred peacefully to Gaza.

They seem intent on sailing into a legal blockade in a warzone as a direct provocation to Israel who will be forced to take control of 50 boats and the people on them.

They have made lots of unproven allegations that Israel has attacked their boats which may well be to precursor violent resistance in 'self defence'.

They could be carrying anything, including weapons.

There is quite compelling evidence of Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood connections to this so called humanitarian flotilla, which could be considered perverse in the extreme seeing as Hamas has caused the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Hundreds of Israeli boat owners are being encouraged to counter protest in Navy approved zones (without interfering) as a presence 'a blue and white wall for the hostages'.

What do we think the outcome of this will be with Italian and Spanish Navy vessels in the mix?

This is quite a different situation than the ONE boat in the earlier failed attempt to breach the blockade this year where the 'activists' were peacefully appeased with sandwiches and sent on their way (after refusing to watch footage of Oct 7th).

A campaign of so-called “peaceful solidarity” reveals disturbing ties to designated terrorist organizations.

there are lots of them for such a small boat, where on earth the aid might be, especially since they have to also eat

Maybe they ended up eating it! I've had badly organised camping trips myself.

Lol.

'Guys, where's the baby milk?'

'Shit. Who packed the baby milk?'

KoalaKoKo · 04/10/2025 11:59

Actually they made several silly videos on the flotillas the other day before they were intercepted to show their “dangerous cargo” - it was boxes of baby formula and food! Israel can claim what they like but there is video evidence to show exactly what was on the boats!

CrossChecking · 04/10/2025 12:09

It's interesting to see Ben Gvir calling the lawyers, politicians and activists 'terrorists'. It would make you wonder how Israel categorise someone as a terrorist and just who have they been blowing up and calling terrorists in Gaza? Clearly there definition is very different to a lot of the world's if they are calling Greta Thunberg a terrorist.

SisterTeatime · 04/10/2025 15:18

I see there is a bit of confusion and misinformation about Vittorio Arrigoni, the Italian activist who was kidnapped and murdered in Gaza. He went there in 2008 and was killed in 2011.

CrossChecking · 04/10/2025 17:51

Rachel Corrie, James Miller, Tom Hurndall, Shireen Abu Akleh, Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi, the Mavi Marmara at least six of the passengers were murdered in a manner consistent with an extra-legal, arbitrary and summary execution.

Israel are experts at killing activists. Then people say that the people on the flotilla are pretending to afraid?! Who wouldn't be afraid.

In other news, it was a cigarette, it was a flare, it was seagulls or was it Netanyahu?

Netanyahu ordered drone attacks on Gaza-bound humanitarian aid boats off Tunisia, sources say

No one was hurt when two vessels that were part of a flotilla bound for Gaza mysteriously caught fire last month.

What utter bollocks. Do have any idea of how much it would cost or the actual risk to send a submarine all the way from Israel to Tunisia and when they got there to launch two drones that then drop small incendiary devices on a yacht.

Whereas if you look at the actual footage it's clearly some dickhead from the flotilla that fired a flare gun at a shallow angle, causing the flare to descend on to bow of the yacht and leaving behind the obvious white powder of magnesium on the bollard.

CBS need to stop with the deliberate misinformation like this. I mean I could quote unidentified sources that told me it was caused by aliens but it doesn't make it credible.

Agreed.

The Palestine mob just lie relentlessly, I think they see the end as justifying the means.

They’re now trying to tell us Greta has been beaten up and forced to kiss an Israeli flag.

Yeah bloody right

Yeah, CBS News are the 'Palestine mob'. The list just keeps growing and growing doesn't it, I sure hope that those influencers Israel are paying are able to churn out their 'content' quickly enough to counter act this growing 'mob' of major news agencies.

I don’t approve of Netanyahu’s government’s actions. I don’t condone them at all, save to say they had to do SOMETHING after 1,000 of their citizens were butchered. I completely acknowledge the civilian deaths are far too high to be ‘collateral’ (hate that word)

But there is frankly a contagious mental illness around Gaza which has very little to do with the Palestinian population and everything to do with very large egos getting themselves into legal and practical dog shit which they then frantically try to lie their way out of. There are too many ‘key players’ utterly out of their depth here who are doing more harm than good.

We are at a very delicate stage in the peace/negotiation process and Thunberg agitating for attention or to ease her conscience is NOT helping

CrossChecking · 04/10/2025 20:40

Thats one way to describe the Israeli governments behaviour I suppose, there were no lights on, the IDF weren't in the area at the time, there was a 'Hamas camera'.

Yes, all live streamed. I feel sick to think that Israel not only intercepted a flotilla carrying baby formula for babies that it is deliberately starving, but then stole it to try to claim there wasn’t any. How can that soldier not realise that people have seen it? It’s unbelievable that some people here are actually still buying into this propaganda. All the evidence is there. It feels like wilful ignorance.

Very concerned about the treatment of the crew at this point.

Please tell me that you don't actually believe this bollocks story by CBS from unknown sources of a secret Israeli submarine travelling all the way from Israel to Tunisia to then launch two drones in order to drop an "incendiary device " on the bow of a yacht just to cause some small damage to some life jackets.

Ellen2shoes · 05/10/2025 11:05

I haven’t seen the story and seems ludicrously far fetched to me but it does sound like just the senseless sledgehammer/nut approach typical of Israel. Look at how many war ships it sent to steal baby formula from an utterly harmless peace flotilla.

You seem gullible if you really believe that war ships were sent "to steal baby formula".

The surprising thing about Greta's incarceration is that she refused the quick deportation she got last time, according to the Israel Foreign Ministry

“Interestingly enough, Greta herself and other detainees refused to expedite their deportation and insisted on prolonging their stay in custody,” it writes.

“Greta also did not complain to the Israeli authorities about any of these ludicrous and baseless allegations — because they never occurred.”

stomachamelon · 05/10/2025 12:50

@Ellen2shoeslet’s say what you are saying is true. How exactly would a flotilla with some baby formula go to Gaza and then dish it out? To who? Without causing pandemonium and panic. Who would be deserving of that aid? Who do you say no to? What if one of the families or other groups in the area wanted it or them? They are high profile bargaining chips.

Greta is now refusing to deport while claiming she has to sit in the same position (in prison) whilst there are bugs (in a prison) I mean, seriously?

Nope they did it as a PR exercise like a lot of other deceptive stuff they pull. There is literally video evidence of the baby formula - there is no reason for the activists to lie but lying seems to be second nature to the IDF.

Like when they attacked an operational hospital and to justify it they showed it was used to hide Hamas weapons - their video evidence showed them in an MRI machine - because, when thinking where should we hide explosive material encased in metal, a giant magnet is the logical choice. Or the secret Hamas documents in the doctor’s lounge which was the days of the week written in arabic.

Lets not forget when they showed video evidence of Hamas stealing aid and shooting at civilians but it turned out that it was actually a gang in the employ of Israel looting and shooting! They delete the video and went silent on the whole thing when caught in the lie but it continued to be shared by their armchair soldiers.

Or when they executed paramedics and buried their vehicles, lied about doing it, then said their lights weren’t on, then said they were Hamas and then went strangely silent when it turned out the whole thing was caught on camera. We still haven’t heard their justification on that one!

😂

Tunisian interior ministry said that reports of a drone striking a boat at its Sidi Bou Said port 'have no basis in truth', and that a fire broke out on the vessel itself.
Claims of a drone are 'completely unfounded', the national guard said in a statement on its official Facebook page, indicating that the fire may have been caused by a cigarette.
Tunisian national guard spokesman Houcem Eddine Jebabli said, 'no drones have been detected'. He told AFP: 'According to preliminary findings, a fire broke out in the life jackets on board.'

What a load of fannies

stomachamelon · 05/10/2025 13:43

stomachamelon · 05/10/2025 13:45

@KoalaKoKoi don’t think Hamas has moral high ground on also pulling stuff like that.
for everything you have quoted Hamas has done far worse and continues to do so.

EasyTouch · 05/10/2025 13:56

Greta Thunberg is an indolent, spoiled narcissistic no account who has never been put in her place.
It takes a certain cluster B personality type to centre themselves in a fucking war, knowing that their actions are a project in futility in a war where the losing side cannot say that there is a lack of focused attention on their plight, even if the plights of all others in war that their side did not even start and are suffering far more and far longer than Gazans, go ignored.

Somebody needs to tell her Radical Chic arse to get a job where she will have it drilled into her that she , like everybody else, ain't shit, but to some of the people that know her personally, most who will put their children before her, if it came to it.

I bet she doom scrolls about Gaza, but the indolent wretch refused to watch the Hamas and " non Hamas" Gazan filmed videos of their zealous and gleeful rape , murder and kidnap spree of 7/10/23.
Which the majority of Pro Palestinians minimised and still do as if to convince themselves and bystanders that in THIS war, Hamas and Gazans are not the Offense side , but the Defense side .
Roundly losing in a war that the Offense started does not turn the Offense into the Defence.
Japan did not turn from Axis to Ally because she got two atom bombs dropped on her.
Germany did not become the Defense because Russian soldiers from the Eastern Front raped and pillaged up to and including Berlin in conclusion to the Eastern Front falling to the Allies.
Britain turning Dresden into dust, in defence was not a genocide.

The political illiteracy of the average Pro Palestinian can only intimidate/ enthrall a certain type educated past their intelligence.

Information that the holder refuses to turn into knowledge lest it get in the way of their circularity is a dangerous thing.

Palestinians have lumbered themselves with a surplus of this type of ally, to no avail and with no filtering for decades.
And now they have Greta.....

stomachamelon · 05/10/2025 14:25

@CrossCheckingwhose fault is that seriously? This has been a long term problem for years.
I have no issue with there being a regime change. There is lots of infighting in Gaza and dominant families as well as Hamas and Islamic Jihad. We have an overall simplistic view of ‘Hamas’ and what goes on.

I have seen the trucks go over the crossings. The drivers are terrified and if someone is pointing a gun at you do you ask what terror group they are from? Israel want Hamas out. I can see why they do things like that…. If it indeed happens.
