I saw that! Well done to him 👏

Heynonnynonny · 05/09/2025 06:21

Bravo more people need to speak out like this 👏

IGaveSoManySigns · 05/09/2025 06:25

Incredible!

Untailored · 05/09/2025 06:28

That poor journo’s face!

SharonEllis · 05/09/2025 06:28

Can anyone point me to the clip of his condemnation of 7 October? Its odd, I can't seem to find one. I guess it was drowned out by the masses of celebrities taking to the airwaves at the time.

A good point well made. Love how he went straight into talking about the film so the journalist didn’t have a chance to tell him off

Almost like he wanted to tick his box asap, allow no space for scrutiny and get back to the fluff. Virtue signalled, job done!

Give over Sharon. He took the opportunity and platform he has to point out a great injustice taking place towards the Palestinian people.

He has rightly been commended for it.

He has also rightly been eye rolled, laughed at, condemned and by many, he will also be ignored. He's a self important twat! Each to their own I guess.

Or perhaps he cares about thousands of women and children being slaughtered? He has a public voice and took an opportunity to use it.

Good for him.

I think you’ll find the vast majority of Britons agree with him.

Greenangellite · 05/09/2025 09:54

Virtue signaling isn't a crime, well done hugh. He also seems as bored of the show he's plugging as the public.

He made his point, he wasn’t there for a debate, in which case he should have given the chance for others to speak. But he had something to say, said it, and then moved on to answer the journalists question.

The journalist would have been unlikely to scrutinise him and would most likely have made a neutral comment along the lines of “we’re not here to talk about that” kind of thing like the BBC report and the a level student.

What’s pathetic about expressing an opinion you share with millions of people, most of whom don’t have a public voice?

Would you think it equally pathetic had he expressed support for the Netanyahu government?

Umm. I know the journalist woukdn't scrutinise him. I know he didn't really want to talk about it in detail.

That's the point.

It woukd have been innaprooriate to make a political statement of support for a foreign government. What a bizarre idea.

It wasn’t the time or place to talk in detail. He made his point, quickly and appropriately.

No if you're not prepared to be scrutinised you shouldn't make public statements. If you deliberately make them in a context where you wont be scrutinised you are a coward.
