Facts:

  • At least 15,000 children have been killed since the war began in October 2023.
  • Many have died in airstrikes, building collapses, or stampedes at aid sites.
  • Thousands more have been injured, often with life-altering wounds, burns, or amputations.
  • Gaza is facing famine-like conditions.
  • Children are eating grass, leaves, or going days without food.
  • Severe malnutrition is widespread, especially in northern Gaza. Babies and toddlers are dying of hunger-related causes.
  • Nearly all children in Gaza are now considered to have signs of acute psychological trauma:
  • Nightmares
  • Bedwetting
  • Non-responsiveness (shutdown/dissociation)
  • Panic at loud sounds
  • Many have lost one or both parents, siblings, or entire families.
  • Most hospitals have been bombed or shut down.
  • Children can’t access basic care, vaccines, or treatment for chronic illnesses.
  • Wounded kids are operated on without anesthesia in some cases.
  • Over 1 million children have been displaced—many multiple times.
  • Families sleep in tents, rubble, or outdoors with no clean water or toilets.
  • Nearly all schools have been shut down, destroyed, or turned into shelters.
  • Many teachers and schoolchildren have been killed.
  • A whole generation risks growing up with no access to education or safety.
  • Children are drinking dirty water, leading to diarrheal diseases and infections.
  • Outbreaks of hepatitis, lice, and scabies are widespread.
  • Even in declared “safe zones” or aid areas, children have been shot, suffocated in stampedes, or killed by nearby strikes.
  • Some have died while queuing for water or food.

“There is no safe place left for children in Gaza. They are being killed, starved, maimed, and psychologically shattered. This is not a humanitarian crisis—this is a crisis of humanity.”

Hun, the UN and humanitarian organizations absolutely want aid sites to stay open and safe ~ they are critical lifelines for civilians ~

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has said, “All parties must respect and protect humanitarian workers and facilities to ensure civilians can access life-saving aid.”

Similarly, UNICEF has urged, “Safe and sustained access to water, food, and medical care is essential…attacks on aid sites must stop immediately.”

The issue isn’t that the UN or Hamas want aid sites shut ~ down ~ It’s that ongoing violence makes these places extremely unsafe…

All those of you expending so much energy on putting the boot into Israel here, have ANY of you even looked at this thread? You might find it answers a few of your questions.

You’re certainly doing a job of trying to justify it.

And the entire responsibility for this rests on Hamas, whom the people of Gaza elected as their government. The tunnels Hamas made under Gaza are immense, yet not a single one was ever used by the civilians when the bombing and air raids started. What kind of government has tunnels as extensive as the London Underground yet not a single air raid shelter?

Were Hamas hiding in the kindergarten that was bombed by Israel this morning?

If your solution to a violent group is to starve a population (not even allowing baby formula to enter), destroy their healthcare, and kill thousands of civilians (including 20,000 children) you are not fighting terror. You are the terror.

What question could it answer as to why Israel has killed 900 (i believe it is now, it has increased) civilians, including women and children, waiting for food (that they often don't get?).
What question could it answer as to why Israel has decided to ignore basic humanitarian principles and best practice in delivering aid and instead creating a inhuman system making poor people travel to aid points?
What question could it answer that explains why Netanyahu has given aid to an Islamist group in Gaza? He's said this.
There is simply no rationale for the above. None.

These tunnels being used as an excuse were stated as "wholly exaggerated" by the ICC and ICJ, not meeting any threshold that allows for civilian bombing.
That's one of the reasons for the issuing of the war crimes summons.

When Israel is tried for war crimes, they’re not going to be able to stand up in court and say “but Hamas…” That’s not how international law works.

Hamas’ actions can and should be scrutinised. But nothing Hamas has done justifies LITERAL war crimes: the mass killing of civilians, the use of starvation as a weapon, or the bombing of hospitals, schools, and aid queues.

Meanwhile, the people of Gaza (over 2 million of them, half of them children!!) are being collectively punished for the actions of a group they can’t vote out, can’t flee from, and can’t protect themselves from or against. That’s what makes this a humanitarian catastrophe, not a legitimate two sided war.

Do you know what proportion of the current population voted for Hamas in that election - around 2.5%.

So 1 in 40 people.

So the 'they voted for it' so they deserve it point is completely bonkers.

But please don't post a question on there without first reading the thread. She explains a lot of things with great care and attention to detail, and if there are more recent developments you want to ask about I am sure she will do the same for you.

So you genuinely think that there might be some justification for killing 900(+?) civilians waiting for food in her threads Q&A…?

I don’t think anything in her Q&A thread can possibly justify the literal war crimes which have taken place.

I wish I could set a bot to keep answering "Why don't you read it and see..." but doubt you can be bothered, as it's not Insta. It actually requires some investment of time and attention.

Or maybe for the same reasons that Greta T refused to watch that film. Your minds are made up that Israel is evil, and that's all there is to it.

You think the tunnels are exaggerated?

Following a conflict in 2021, the IDF said it had destroyed more than 100km of tunnels in air strikes. Hamas meanwhile claimed that its tunnels stretched 500km and that only 5% were hit. To put those figures into perspective, the London Underground is 400km long and is mostly above ground.

Israel targets Hamas’s labyrinth of tunnels under Gaza

Palestinian militants are thought to have built hundreds of kilometres of tunnels underneath Gaza.

I suppose you’re not going to answer my question, because war crimes and the deaths of nearly 200,000 children can never be justified.

You are still going with their assessment despite the fact that the IDF have said the Hamas underground network is massive and Hamas themselves saying it is 500m long - significantly longer than the London underground?

The IDF have said many a thing that is untrue!
Tunnels underground hospitals which proved to be nothing more than a few weapons (guns)
Oh and remember the 40 beheaded babies that didn’t exist!
Not to mention the denials of attacking ambulances which were clearly marked and with emergency lights flashing!
