This is just unbelievable. These ‘protesters’ are being given free rein to threaten and assault pro-Israelis (Jewish) because ‘there’s 500 of them and 2 of you’.

Police not interested in doing their job, which is upholding the law I thought?

Just sickening that this country has come to this.

You do know that it was an Islamist that carried out the attack?
You do know that Islamist militants are the number one threat to UK soil?
You do know that the Hamas charter wants ‘Zionist’s’ eradicated?
You do know that Iran has always wished death to the west and Israel?
Do you knot see that the ‘pro Palestine’ movement is about as effective for peace as the Britain first marches?

You are missing that most people marching are marching for peace, for a free Palestine and end to the war.

But then again, I don’t live in the UK. Which I am very pleased about.

Where do you live?

You are missing the point that home turf is now a priority to Gaza.
Pro Palestine activists saying they have sympathy for Iran. The nation that plotted terror attacks in London

Oh look, someone who gives more of a crap about international law than uk law.
I assume you feel as much disgust about Putin?

The UK is not a world power. Without the international law it one day will be finished.
We can care about the international law out of our self interest.

Madcatdudette · 25/06/2025 15:36

Where do you live?

Why do you need to know? I’m British. I don’t live in England. Never really have. Doesn’t change a single thing about the way I feel about what the Israeli government is doing to Palestine.

You’ll still feel the response if you go against the laws here. I doubt mners will, it’s more posting than anything, but who knows.

However PA did and got the FAFO response which applies to anyone.

Sympathy with Iran or the Iranian regime?

You do know that there are thousands of people, families with children, Jewish people too, joining these marches. They are not full of Hamas supporters or allies of the Iranian regime as you seem to think.

I am not encouraging anyone to go against the laws. It can be really dangerous for individuals. I was just saying that there are good reasons to care for international laws too.

That is ridiculous, a lot of innocent British people were killed by terrorism by the IRA yet London has one of the biggest saint patricks day parades in the world with thousands of irish flags and people are not triggered because anyone with any level of critical thinking will realise that the actions of one group doesn't reflect the views of an entire nation. There were no Palestinians even involved in the Manchester bombing.... is your problem the fact that they palestine is a largely Muslim country and you think all Muslims are terrorists?

I’m not entirely sure what your are saying. WTF has St Patrick’s day got to do with anything?
You do understand that, according to government counter terrorism statistics, Islamists are the biggest threat to the UK?
It’s also mad that the very same people who cry ‘death to Israel/zionists’ get all offended that someone has the temerity to criticise Islam.

From a uk pov I would say that Jewish people do not join in with the ‘pro Palestine’ movement.
Happy to be corrected by someone who is actually Jewish

You would never find any government statistics that says that incompetent or corrupt government is a threat to the country.
While we all know it’s true.
How many people in Gaza could have lived today if our government acted?

No one said it was a world power. I would not care if it was the poorest nation in the world. Why on earth would you say ‘one day it will be finished’?

Some British citizens-sure. Most British citizens would also not throw soup on works of art, nor glue themselves to the road. Is this now terrorism too?

I personally wouldn’t start a war based on lies and corruption that has led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people and brought instability to an entire region either but interesting how the government does not declare that an act of terror isn’t it?

Is terrorism in the eye of the beholder?

I’m not sure when it kicks in but online support for the proscribed group will be illegal. So mn posts will be included in that.

Whether people want it to be the case or not it would be supporting terrorists.

PhilomenaPunk · 25/06/2025 16:00

Madcatdudette · 25/06/2025 14:04

Absolutely.
I marched way back when the gulf war started. Didn’t do shit then, just like Palestine marches now.
I have been on numerous women’s rights demonstrations.
So there are many causes that need highlighting
Burkina Faso
Ukraine
Myanmar
Sudan
Women’s rights, let’s keep it basic and say Islamic ruled nations and the trans movement (meaning the men who seem to only want to moan about being misgendered)
I don’t have capacity to put one country’s suffering above another.

You seem very disillusioned to be honest. I thought the same way as you for a long time, but I have now come to the conclusion that every action matters, however small. I have to be able to live with my conscience, and it is important to stand up and be heard and hold your government to account.

And the Palestine marches are doing something. There is an arrest warrant for BN. That is huge. Grass roots action works. Sanctions and divestments work. They have been used successfully thousands of times.

Our sense of care does not have to be finite. I am just as able to care about ending Israeli occupation in Palestine as I am about women’s rights and ending animal abuse etc.

It’s amazing that we live in a country where talking about or “supporting” a group that painted a couple of planes will be illegal yet millions upon millions upon millions of vile, misogynistic and threatening comments that are made to and about women are perfectly okay?

I wish my government cared as much about my health as they do about a plane.

I’m glad terrorists won’t get to do similar. Even with the other segue.
