Israel is a country at war and I know many will have links or family in that country so I think it appropriate to wish them safety in the coming days.

The Israeli citizen who came here posted from her bomb shelter. You post was malicious.

You are now holding all Israelis collectively responsible And directing that at an individual. That is unacceptable.Judging by your attitude I think you actually have no idea what will solve this conflict.

no one knows how to solve the conflict! are you claiming that you do??

If you haven't spent time in Israel how do you know what the general population believe?

There's so much wrong with your posts, but let's just start there.

I'm obviously referring to the threads in general as I assumed your comment below was. Otherwise I have no idea who the people you are referring to are.
And remember it when people tell us noone has any problem with Israeli civilians.

To add you assumed I was just talking about Gazans I wasn't.

Edited

Not understanding, sorry, Im not assuming anythj g about gazans. Im referring to the people on these threads who say they have no priblem with ordinary Israelis in the face of a very very clear empathy gap for ordinary Israelis. As the nasty poster we are talking about has made clear. Im glad they were honest actually.

Do you believe all those advocating for Gaza have been there?

I don’t agree with what Netanyahu is doing in Gaza and I certainly don’t support the regime in Iran but goodness I just want to convey my thoughts to those in both countries dealing with the ongoing strike. It must be terrifying and please know that whatever many of us think about your leadership we absolutely don’t wish this on you. Hoping you all stay as safe and well as you can during this awful time. ❤️

This. It must be terrifying.

NotTerfNorCis · 15/06/2025 12:46

Israel is the aggressor here.

More Iranian than Israeli civilians have died.

This is self-inflicted on Israel's part.

Here's hoping that peace can be reached as soon as possible.

Dont twist things. We saw what you said. You said you cant feel sympathy and you dont wish them safety. You lumped all Israeli citizens together and held them collectively responsible and said you wish them harm. To believe in them suffering for a greater good may make you feel good but it doesnt actually alter that you have no empathy for ordinary Israelis who have suffered a great deal over the years. Just because other people have suffered too doesnt change that. You're almost being honest.

greencartbluecart · 15/06/2025 12:48

I would have preferred it if you had said you wished those in Iran and Isreal and Palestine to be safe in these times

as it is i find your post rather uncaring

Madcatdudette · 15/06/2025 12:50

Arafina · 15/06/2025 09:53

I am actually shocked that you say you have never been to Israel considering how much you defend its actions, I have been there, beautiful country, extremely selective about who it wants to come there even to visit and that's putting it politely

Really? You think half of the ‘pro Palestine’ brigade have stepped foot in Gaza?

Branleuse · 15/06/2025 12:50

I wish any and all Israelis, the same as they wish for the Palestinians.

yes, I wish my posts hadn't been deleted so people could follow my rationale

Half??!

kielifor · 15/06/2025 12:51

The lives of ordinary people, especially women and girls in Iran are already very grim since the 1979 revolution.
If anything good can come of this it might be that the (slightly) more moderate factions in Iran gain power.
I suspect most ME and western governments are quietly hoping Israel succeeds.

Oh we are following your rationale very easily.

Unfortunately on mumsnet you are allowed to say anything if you are pro Palestine/insert whatever you want.
If you dare to mention anything that bucks this trend, your comment will be removed

TheMel · 15/06/2025 12:53

Interesting paradox that some posters justify their glee by pointing out that some Israeli citizens were happy to see Gazaans killed. Yet they don't recognise that Israelis have the same justification because they saw the glee and participation of the Gazaan civilian population on 7 Oct.

Here you are, always policing... The irony, given the subject matter.

Half??!

I was underestimating so MN wouldn’t remove my post 🤣

greencartbluecart · 15/06/2025 12:54

Racism gets deleted

guess that was the usual racism then?

there is a body of people who have so dehumanised Palestinians that they can’t see their own racism

well this is observably not true, because my pro-palestinian/anti-israel posts on this thread, have been deleted

BunfightBetty · 15/06/2025 12:55

I feel for those in both Israel and Iran who are hurt by these actions. I hope that Israel continues to target their efforts at military/nuclear targets, and that Israel’s iron dome remains effective, so that civilian casualties are minimised.

No sane, thinking person can possibly think it’s a good idea for the current Iranian regime to have access to nuclear weapons. They have openly stated their desire to destroy Israel (and are aggressive towards other countries including the UK), and have been pursuing just that policy through their murderous proxies Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis. They are a death cult who do not see death as a negative, so mutually assured destruction is not a principle that would ever curb their actions.

Given the appalling barbarism of this repressive, vicious regime, to their own people, and the fact that more than 80% of Iranians want regime change, I hope this action may lead to change in Iran.

Not just in Gaza but around the world. I saw it in London.

Pinty · 15/06/2025 12:56

I wish everyone caught up in war safely including the people in Iran and the people in Gaza.
The situation is dreadful and saldy is made even worse by the Israeli Government.
Always in these cases it's the innocent civilians including children who suffer

hareclive · 15/06/2025 12:57

SharonEllis · 15/06/2025 12:52

because you read my posts before they were deleted. Now you can say that my posts said whatever you want, to fit your narrative
