We are back to hundreds of Gazans being killed each day after the so called ceasefire and over 50,000 now slaughtered, mostly women and children.
The bombing of hospitals, schools and 'safe zones' not being enough, they are now picking off paramedics. How much depravity is the world going to tolerate?

Well yes, you are unreasonable to want world leaders complicit in Netanyahu’s genocide to stand before The Hague, because ‘complicity’ needs defining and because many countries (eg the USA and Israel herself) aren’t signatories to the ICC which is what I presume you want people in The Hague for.

But obviously you’re not unreasonable to want the killing to stop. The stories are awful, the statistics are horrific. I wish governments around the world were much more condemnatory of horror committed by both sides, and that it was possible to criticise one side without immediately being accused of bias by the other side. Netanyahu, the Israeli cabinet in general, Hamas, Hazbollah. Villains all.

The world is watching a genocide in real time, and are now pretty much ignoring it. Hungary is currently hosting the war criminal Netanyahu. It all sickens me to my stomach. No one will stop it, there will be no Palestinians left in Gaza soon, they will be dead or removed. Then Israel will clear them out of the west bank too. I'm losing all faith in humanity.

It's a difficult situation given how Israel is a Western ally and backed by powerful countries funding their lunacy.

When you learn about historical atrocities you always wonder how people could let it happen, well here you are.

Considering that Israel has killed Western citizens during its wars, pushes for censorship of opposing voices in western states, attacked a US recon ship, stole uranium from the US purely to develop weapons, has dragged countries (including the UK) to disastrous wars in mid and west Asia, actively spies on and blackmails western politicians and potentially being complicit in the JFK assassination conspiracy, I wouldn't call them an ally.

I agree the war has to end but I wish people would stop calling it a genocide. It's just not. There are actual genocides happening in the world right now and they have no media coverage and no threads on message boards talking about them. Why is that do you think? Throwing around words like " apartheid" and "genocide" helps no one.

Where are the marches calling for Hamas surrender? ( I mean apart from in Gaza now where a few brave people have started to call for their demise) All the marches in the west are full of pampered students with masks on their faces who would soon change their minds if they had to live in Gaza. Shouldn't Gazans be allowed to have a democratic government like they have?

There is a huge propaganda machine behind Hamas which has been very successful. The more dead bodies the better. There has been so many staged videos on tiktok which seems to be taken as truth. I'm not denying there is suffering there and conditions are awful. They are. But Israel has to defend it's citizens. Life is valued in Israel. Hence the really unequal prisoner/ hostage swops. Iron dome etc. Hamas ( and unfortunately a proportion of Palestinian society) don't value life. They value death....raising your children to think their greatest achievement is to become a " martyr" is child abuse. No child should be brought up like that.

The Palestinian people can't end the war, Israel could, but don't want to because they want Gaza for their American riviera deal with Trump.

The only way for this to end is for Hamas to surrender unconditionally. Sad though it is Israel holds all the cards.

I would suggest you look up the definition of genocide, and the facts regarding already designated past genocides because what has happened ticks a lot of the boxes.

I think they would have done a few months ago, actually. I think there was more of a will to explore a two state solution; but it is important to remember that Gaza doesn’t want that, either.

They did surrender already with the 3 phase ceasefire that Israel agreed to but then broke for no good reason. Their conditions were not unreasonable and focussed on humanitarian aid, release of prisoners and detainees- women and children first in return for hostages, then phase 2 would have been withdrawal of Israel from the strip to be replaced by US & Egyptian peacekeepers, then phase 3 Hamas relinquishes all power to the PA.

the “surrender unconditionally” axiom isn’t part of modern warfare or ethics. It was in ancient times when surrender meant death or slavery for the conquered.

Hamas need to release the hostages and surrender. They are responsible for using Palestinians as collateral damage. Don’t commit an atrocity, start a war and hide behind /beneath your people. Even Gazians have started to protest against Hamas now.

You think Netanyahu, the guy who is annexing the West Bank, the guy who resigned from government in protest back in 2005 when Israel took their settlers out of Gaza was open to a 2 state solution

In answer to the OP at think at the very least harsh sanctions should have been/should be levied on Israel. Treat them the same as everyone else who has no respect international law. They aren't allies to anybody.

Israel will ethnically cleanse Gaza whatever happens. The real question is will they be moved somewhere else after Hamas surrender (assuming someone volunteers to take them) or die in place with Hamas still at war?

You need to understand the only way this ends is when only one of the ethinc groups remains in the area.
