Conflict in the Middle East

To think someone has got to stop the mass killings in Gaza

BotanicalCake · 03/04/2025 21:34

We are back to hundreds of Gazans being killed each day after the so called ceasefire and over 50,000 now slaughtered, mostly women and children.
The bombing of hospitals, schools and 'safe zones' not being enough, they are now picking off paramedics. How much depravity is the world going to tolerate?

AIBU to suggest that the world leaders complicit in Netanyahu's genocide should all stand before the Hague?

What like the many many Palestinians that live in Israel?

Hamas are a proscribed terrorist organisation, what bewilders me is that anyone accepts their propaganda figures.

Especially after they raped women. Beheaded babies. Shot and burned unarmed civilians during their barbaric attack. Not forgetting those who have been kidnapped and abused. A bunch of murdering abusers are hardly likely to provide factual info.

The Palestinians that have died in Gaza have died because Hamas started and continue this war.

If someone came to the UK and wiped out a significant percentage of the population in the same fashion that Hamas attacked Jewish people, we would retaliate and Israel are well within their rights to do so.

Only Hamas are to blame for this particular conflict, oh and the people that thought it was a good idea to vote for a fundamentalist organisation back in 2006.

Never heard of the IRA? They committed many atrocities in the UK. Thank goodness the UK government didn't decide to murder 50k Irish citizens in revenge, but according to your logic that would have been perfectly justified....

That’s an absolute false equivalence and bears no resemblance.

Why not?

@Ohdearieme2025
Not Jewish people. Israelis. Get clear on that Israelis. And not all Israelis at that.

I would never ever pardon what Hamas did on the 7th. There is footage of them murdering innocent. But there is no footage of what you speak. It’s literally does not exist. The same way the 40 beheaded babies does not exist.

The Israeli government are yet to comment on their use of friendly fire which cost many many lives. They have yet to comment on enacting a code which tells them to kill any Israelis being hostage.

Either way, the killing of innocent children is not the answer. The footage of those preemie babies left on their own to die when that hospital in north Gaza was evacuated was amongst cruelest of things that I’ve ever witnessed in my life. That footage exists.

So does the footage of a Palestinian man raped with a metal rod by a reservists IDF in a room of prisoners until his bowels were perforated and he later bled to death. That footage exists. The rapist was on a game show a week later. That footage exists.

This is not defence.
You are brainwashed. WAKE UP.

Reported for writing anti semitic filth and defending rapist terrorist murderers who strangled babies and raped women to death during a cease fire.

It’s not a genocide.

Hamas have exaggerated the figures.

It could end tomorrow if the hostages are released and Hamas stands down.

This.

Martymcfly24 · 05/04/2025 11:52

Gloriia · 05/04/2025 11:41

This.

It will not end if the hostages are released according to Netanyahu, what do you think about that?

Ohdearieme2025 · 05/04/2025 11:55

Gloriia · 05/04/2025 11:41

This.

Yep, just this. The Hamas supporters here make me feel physically sick. And every single person telling Jewish people to lay down their arms to the animals who started the war is a Hamas supporter. Every single one of them.

You don’t speak for all Jewish people. Your support here is voiced for Israeli not Jewish people - there are so many Jewish people who’ll disagree with the actions of the current Israeli govt while also condemning the violence on Israeli’s by Hamas. Using threats and language like that doesn’t make it untrue. I’m not concerned about you reporting my post or calling me anti-Semitic because I know in my heart i’m not. Not condoning systematic violence is not anti-Semitic. so stop trying to weaponise it.

If you think this is a war that began October 7th - you’ve blinkers on. Gaza is on of the most densely populated areas on earth because you’ve a people bunched into a walled territory where they need military permission to travel. Palestinians are not allowed to collect rain water.

Feel equally angry for the 15000 Palestinians children who have been killed. Many of them don’t even know what religion is. For the many who waited under rubble for help that never came. Whose names will never be known or broadcast on the news. Feel equally angry for the complete disregard and disablement of the UN and ICC at the hands of the current Israeli government. Feel angry for the precedence the Israeli govt has now set for the dissolution of human rights and that impact on the collective consciousness of the world. This is a genocide and no amount of hearts ‘This’ will change that.

'This is a genocide'

It isn't genocide. It is a war zone and sadly civilians get killed in wars particularly when the terrorists hide among them.

In your opinion.
How do you feel about Netanyahu refusing to end the war if the hostages are returned and instead announcing a move to "Trump's voluntary migration plan"?

Gansy · 05/04/2025 13:09

The imbalance of power is too immense for it to be called a war. Innocent Palestinians are trapped while the most sophisticated weaponry is used upon them and withdrawal of any kind of sustaining resource is used to ensure their death.

I hope in my heart that this will end soon. That whatever is left of Hamas is not supported, that Netenyahu is jailed, that the far right in Israel are not supported. I’m going to remain hopeful for peace.

Exactly, Hamas are causing the deaths by their hostage taking and then when they were supposed to release hostages they released dead bodies. Hamas need to release the remaining hostages and stand down so Gaza can be rebuilt.

Agreed OP
It's absolutely disgusting what Israel is doing.
A disgrace that the UK Govt calls them our ally.
Not only is Israel's behavior in Gaza of concern but also in Syria and Lebanon.
Israel is lobbying the US to allow Russia to stay in Syria. Israel wants Syria to stay weak and destabilized and they also want to land grab there. They are ignoring international calls to pull back out of Syria and continually strike it.

And it appears Israel maybe lying again just like they did when they murdered British citizens and the World Kitchen aid workers Video emerges of aid workers being fired on in Gaza - contradicting Israeli account of deadly attack | World News | Sky News

The bodies of 15 aid workers were found in a "mass grave" after the incident.

What do you think Israeli Govt should do with the 1000s of Palestinians prisoners they have taken into their jails without charge, trial or access to legal counsel - I’m largely referring to before October 7th. Do you not see that was seen as their people being taken?

Without this understanding from both sides it will never get there.

Say what we will about Hamas standing down, and I hope they do, but Israeli gov has caused much avoidable violence on innocent people. From the misuse of chemical weapons, HUGE bombs in densely populated areas and missiles which shed blades - designed to cut off limbs, sniping of children, drones with the cries of children to distress to draw out civilians to help them. There are ways to do less harm.

This isn’t defence, is unbridled vengeance. They have targeted journalists and refused to let in any other media outlets because they don’t want to world to see it.

I saw this too. Medical workers. It’s so distressing.

It’s not the first mass grave dug by the IDF. It’s so out of control.

Turkey is in Nato and Israel isn't.
Israel didn't sanction Russia and wants Russia to stay in Syria.
Interesting. But of course Israel's actions are all a result of 7th October? or more likely the progression of a far right aggressive Israeli Govt agenda

They did surrender already with the 3 phase ceasefire that Israel agreed to but then broke for no good reason. Their conditions were not unreasonable and focussed on humanitarian aid, release of prisoners and detainees- women and children first in return for hostages, then phase 2 would have been withdrawal of Israel from the strip to be replaced by US & Egyptian peacekeepers, then phase 3 Hamas relinquishes all power to the PA.

the “surrender unconditionally” axiom isn’t part of modern warfare or ethics. It was in ancient times when surrender meant death or slavery for the conquered.

phase 3 Hamas relinquishes all power to the PA

When did Hamas agree to relinquish all power to the PA?

Stage three
The final part of the agreement would see:
The return of all remaining bodies of dead hostages
The reconstruction of Gaza, which is expected to take years
