I think it's shameful that Gazan children's own parents and government don't care for their safety. They don't care for their own children's safety! Can you image it? Hamas didn't happen by accident. People voted for them knowing their rationale was to provoke a stronger country into attacking them.

That does not mean we should dismiss their suffering.

All children deserve to grow up in safety.

Another update: The adult body returned today has been reported to be not that of Shiri Bibas.
More mind games from Hamas then. More unspeakable suffering for her husband and sister. Her parents are spared, though, seeing as Hamas already murdered them.

Where are you reading that?

Is there a source for this? Thank you.

Yarden Bibas is in my thoughts constantly today. ❤️

The Times of Israel is reporting that the two boys have been identified but the other body is not that of their mother.

EsmaCannonball · 20/02/2025 23:33

I wonder if Shiri is alive and a witness to whatever horror befell those boys or if she is dead and this is yet another cruel trick played by those utter scumbags in Hamas.

Pennina · 20/02/2025 23:34

Seeing this on Ynet. Breaking news English feed 23:25. Also Sky News just now.

It is not the same thing! We could sit here and feel awful for every civilian in every conflict. People died in WW2 in London from bombing- it is not the same as dying in a concentration camp, because someone rounded you up because of your race and tortured you!!!

I do sit here feeling sorry for every civilian, especially children. It's basic humanity

Either way it's a cruel trick. Inhumane to the extreme.

💔

Allthatwegotisthispalebluedot · 20/02/2025 23:38

This is absolutely grotesque. There was some slight comfort in the thought of the three of them being together but this is sickening. 💔

This, combined with the attempted terror attack, makes me so aware of how fragile this ceasefire is. What a horrifying day.

EsmaCannonball · 20/02/2025 23:39

The IDF is claiming that forensics and intelligence shows that the boys were murdered in November 2023, aged 10 months and aged 4.

O M G the mind game hamas are playing they are the lowest of the low. Where is Shiri!

EsmaCannonball · 20/02/2025 23:43

Apparently the body that should have been that of Shiri Bibas is not a match with any other known hostage.

sittingwaitingtables · 20/02/2025 23:44

@yummyscummymummy01 why do we never hear any pro Palestinians condemn Hamas? I never hear it? All I hear is that they have silence for any of the atrocities that Hamas has committed, including their disgusting display they put on for the young victims of 7th October today.

I’m absolutely sickened by today, by the attempted bombing, the ‘show’, the locked coffins, the propaganda, international ‘human rights’ groups silence, and now this. But to be fair, I have also read pro Palestinians who have called out today’s grotesque acts, and shown solidarity and respect. Not as many as I’d hoped but some.

RubyWinehouse · 20/02/2025 23:54

Yet every weekend we see pro hamas supporters marching around our cities

EllaDisenchanted · 20/02/2025 23:55

I’m mostly angry with people and groups like Albanese and Gutierrez, and UNICEF.

They say it's not a religious war, so why should they worry?

EllaDisenchanted · 21/02/2025 00:01

The pro Palestinians I’ve seen condemning /acknowledging today so far have been actual Palestinians (peace activists), not westerners (on x) . Could be my algorithms but I doubt it.

Scirocco · 21/02/2025 00:03

Well, Hamas, PIJ, et al had already hit rock bottom in my estimation long ago, but this is a new low, even for them.

sittingwaitingtables · 21/02/2025 00:14

@EllaDisenchanted I have seen so little of this. I wrote another post on here about how disgusted I am with the Pro Palestinian activists! Comment after comment of vile rhetoric under any news article that talks about the Bibas family. Since 7th October not one comment about Hamas! It's like a cult! Compassion shouldn't just be limited to one race or religion! You can condemn both EDF and Hamas but they won't!

I hear. I wish there was more. Each one that does is a potential peace partner. https://x.com/howidyhamza/status/1892477198453371032?s=46

Compassion shouldn't just be limited to one race or religion! 💯

being Jewish today for me felt like a chaotic mix of never having felt closer to all my Jewish brothers and sisters, knowing they were all grieving too, and also painfully lonely, seeing so shamefully few people (outside the advocates who’ve been consistently standing up since oct 7th) condemn todays atrocities and stand with us.

I just still want to amplify the voices of those that did speak out.
