For those that have friends and family in Israel just a quick message to hope all is OK at this worrying time.

OP posts:
Hunglikeapolevaulter · 01/10/2024 18:17

Seconded, it must be a terrifying time and I hope everyone stays safe.

MumChp · 01/10/2024 18:21

And all the innocent families and people in Gaza, Libanon too....

TwilightSkies · 01/10/2024 18:25

I hope all the innocent people in the Middle East are ok. It’s terrifying.

SweetSakura · 01/10/2024 18:25

Yes thinking of everyone in the that part of the world, which ever country they are in. Horrible times for all.

I wish EVERYONE was safe. Unfortunately, the Palestinians and Lebanese will be feeling a lot more frightened.

This message is for people in Israel.

Have some respect.

Start your own thread for the Lebanese if you care that much.

You think?

You think they're more frightened than my aunt and uncle who are messaging me from a bunker in Tel Aviv where they're trying to comfort their grandchildren?

trickyex · 01/10/2024 18:28

Bizarre thread. How about all the people who have lost their lives in Gaza??

There are numerous threads about that

This thread is about Israel.

Yes. There's a genocide in Gaza.

Might be better to say a prayer for all innocent people caught in a conflict they didn't ask to be a part of. No matter their religion, colour or nationality.

Why on earth is it bizarre? OP presumably has friends/family in Israel so more pertinent to them.

TwilightSkies · 01/10/2024 18:30

Id think the levels of terror are probably the same. One isn’t more important than the other.

PurpleChrayn · 01/10/2024 18:30

There isn't a genocide in Gaza.

There are over-inflated figures from a terrorist organisation.

The loss of life is a result of Hamas refusing every ceasefire offered to them.

Probably the same amount of frightened I guess. I can't imagine it was a picnic being in Gaza recently or Lebanon. Equally though I am sure it is really scary for your aunt and her family, and horrible for you being so far away and I will hold you all (and everyone else innocent and affected in the middle east) in my thoughts and hope peace comes soon

There is a genocide but keep telling yourself there isn't.

Dulra · 01/10/2024 18:34

Well done @mids2019 you've achieved what you set out to do with this thread.

My thoughts are with all those who have friends and family in the region, I wish them peace and safety at this scary unpredictable time.

Comedycook · 01/10/2024 18:34

It's a shame that the original theme of this thread is being torn to shreds by certain posters.

Op...I am also thinking of all those in Israel right now and those of you with friends and family there🙏

ThisTimeNextWeekDavid · 01/10/2024 18:35

I’m sending my prayers (non religious / universe based) to all innocent people caught up in war in the Middle East - regardless of race, religion or political beliefs.
