Israeli soldiers gang rape Palestinian detainee

You can find a sanitised version in Western media outlets that replaces the word rape with abuse but this is the ugly truth of how Israeli soldiers treat Palestinians and how some of the Israeli mainstream excuse it.

Israel has a major problem with its far right who are quickly becoming the mainstream and unless it gets control it will continue to sink lower and lower in the eyes of the world losing all moral credibility. To excuse rape and call rapists heroes with some high ranking politicians and media outlets screaming that what these men did was justified. Open your eyes. No god, no religion, no political ideology, no one with a prick of humanity can condone gang rape. But I am sure I will see genocide apologists defending it on here.

The Palestinian man was a civilian who was being held without charge but regardless is shoving a stick up someone * repeatedly so that they lose the ability to walk anything other than savage barbarity. Disgusting.

Well well well, it would appear medical exams prove rape did not occur. Wouldn't be the first time Palestinians accused Israel of crimes that turned out to be a sack of horseshit. Failed Islamic Jihad rocket in hospital car park rings a bell?

Wonder how biased this doctor is

Can you post something more clear ? Also, are you saying that those idf members that have given interviews are lying ?

ps it woulnt be the first time that Israel denies something using lies. Calendar with the names of the terrorists rings a bell?

Not sure whether this proofs anything. This account just mentions what the doctor whose report you posted above says.
the doctor doesn’t seem to be the one that attended the victim , is close to bibi (has performed surgeries to him and his wife) and has signed letters in the past in favour on him.
finally, the doctor that attended the victim doesn’t deny the rape.

Exactly, and are you also now going to come up with a story denying that Israeli ministers defended the raping of Palestinian detainees?

That was to @Beljin

I have just been reading an article from The Jerusalem Post about this which gives a good general summary of the case so far.

Excerpt
But, combining the video evidence with medical report documentation and incriminating proof from the prison guards themselves or their commanders, the case looks strong.

Some of the comments are almost unbelievable though and include anything from the prisoner did it to himself to frame the IDF, to why would a married man rape a rat.

Sde Teiman Doctor Who Saw Abused Gazan Detainee: 'I Couldn't Believe an Israeli Prison Guard Could Do Such a Thing'

Excerpt from the Haaretz article as a reminder of the injuries reported by the doctor who saw the detainee:

Information obtained by Haaretz shows that the Gazan detainee suffered from a ruptured bowel, a severe injury to his anus, lung damage and broken ribs. He was taken to a hospital for an operation.

"If the state and Knesset members think there's no limit to how much you can abuse prisoners, they should kill them themselves, like the Nazis did, or close the hospitals," Donchin said, adding, "If they maintain a hospital only for the sake of defending ourselves at [the <a class="break-all" href="https://archive.is/o/PlYIG/www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2024-07-19/ty-article/.premium/icjs-decision-on-the-occupation-goes-beyond-israels-worst-fears/00000190-cbe6-dc8b-a1dd-cbe7a2350000" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">International Criminal Court at] the Hague, that's no good."

He added that the hospital staff is working hard even as it is being "attacked from all sides. But my duty is to the patients."

Interesting how the I believe the victim doesn’t apply in this case and we need to trust a doctor close to nentanhayu that was not involved in the diagnosis

IKR?! Obviously doesn't see Palestinians as people of equal worth to everyone else. This poor man doesn't even need to be believed, he has got the injuries to prove it and it was even caught on camera! And he is still being dismissed as a liar! If anyone is liying, it's that doctor. It doesn't matter what happens to the Palestinians or how much proof they have, they are so dehumanised that it is automatically dismissed.

Shameful. I suppose in their minds it never happened. But this Chief Prosecutor is almost all there is left between Israel and an indictment for war crimes by the ICCJ.
The crowd would do well to let the prosecutor try to do his job. He would be doing them all a favour if they but knew it.

The soldiers involved may be let off in the end anyway, as The Jerusalem Post article explained.

It absolutely is. 😳 So if the Israeli justice system handles this and punishes the perpetrators, even if they're given relatively light sentences, that the ICJ won't pursue this? Is that true? If it is, these people are really shooting themselves in the foot.

Also, it's a really strange thing to protest about. They're angry about the mere possibility of bringing the rapists to justice, instead of being angry at the rapists. It shows how dehumanised the Palestinians are in their eyes.

ScrollingLeaves · 10/08/2024 00:02

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday night, Bezalel Smotrich demanded “an immediate criminal investigation to locate the leakers of the trending video that was intended to harm the reservists and that caused tremendous damage to Israel in the world and to exhaust the full severity of the law against them”.

Others, including the hard right and ultranationalist politicians, such as National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, within Israel, have argued that any action – even gang rape – is permissible if it is undertaken for the security of the state.

These men are dragging Israel down.

No, I was saying that @10UsernamesNotAvailableTryAnotherOne because this crime and the reaction of the people sanctioning it, is like a last straw shocking even the US who are supportive of Israel. So though what the ICCJ has said so far has been more or less ignored, they might be taken more seriously this time if this crime is just muffled and lied about.

Sexual abuse of prisoners is horrific. There is never any justification.

I’ve ended up here because James O’Brien (LBC) is talking about this, this morning.

I don’t see how we can continue to support this Israeli government. At the very least they need to allow independent, international scrutiny. They need funding, they need to be accountable.

"They keep pumping it into your brain that you have to disconnect. That they're not people. That they're not human beings … There was a female officer who gave us a briefing on the day we arrived. She said, 'It will be hard for you. You'll want to pity them, but it's forbidden. Remember that they aren't people. From your point of view, they are not human beings. The best thing is to remember who they are and what they did in October'" – R., an Israeli reservist who served at the Sde Teiman detention facility

■ ISRAEL: The UN special rapporteur on torture, Alice Jill Edwards, condemned what she called a "particularly gruesome" case of the alleged sexual abuse of a Palestinian prisoner by Israeli soldiers at the Sde Teiman detention center, and said the perpetrators of such crimes must be held accountable. "There are no circumstances in which sexual torture or sexualized inhuman and degrading treatment can be justified," she said in a statement.
