You can find a sanitised version in Western media outlets that replaces the word rape with abuse but this is the ugly truth of how Israeli soldiers treat Palestinians and how some of the Israeli mainstream excuse it.

Israel has a major problem with its far right who are quickly becoming the mainstream and unless it gets control it will continue to sink lower and lower in the eyes of the world losing all moral credibility. To excuse rape and call rapists heroes with some high ranking politicians and media outlets screaming that what these men did was justified. Open your eyes. No god, no religion, no political ideology, no one with a prick of humanity can condone gang rape. But I am sure I will see genocide apologists defending it on here.

The Palestinian man was a civilian who was being held without charge but regardless is shoving a stick up someone * repeatedly so that they lose the ability to walk anything other than savage barbarity. Disgusting.

Of course I don't condone it, but if you actually read my threads you would see I clearly condomned it and said they should be severely punished.

I am just trying to work out why you think this is unacceptable of Israel and "any ally of the West" rather than as I have already stated, consider it unacceptable for any nation, western ally or not.

The IDF have been accused of gang raping and there are reports from NGO's like "save the children" on how they sexually assault children.

There is not ENOUGH criticism.

Maybe some of the citizens of the only Jewish state should stop behaving the way they are doing and then they’d not be criticised…

You’re right - I missed your third post finally condemning the actions of the IDF.

I make no apologies for expecting Israel to act like the Western Democratic allies from which it benefits from support. I am afraid there are countries were I would be less shocked if this kind of systemic abuse regretfully happened. Are you suggesting Israel should be seen in a similar vein to countries who have appalling histories of human rights?

If governments don't want to be criticised for the torture and rape of prisoners, they should prevent the torture and rape of prisoners.

No I would view it as holding Israel to the same standard as any other democratic nation. Take Israel out of your statement and insert Britain, Spain, Ireland, US and so on. Stop trying to find offence where there is one.

I don't really think "don't rape and torture people" is a particularly unreasonable standard to expect of the Israeli government. Or any government, for that matter.

ISRAEL: Two of the nine IDF reservists suspected of sexually abusing a Palestinian detainee at the Sde Teiman detention center were found lying in a polygraph test when asked whether they had committed an "act of sodomy" on the detainee, and answered that they did not.

• The Israeli human rights group B'Tselem published a report that brings dozens of testimonies from Palestinians who have been held in Israeli prisons and detention centers since the beginning of the war in Gaza, who list experiences of torture, sexual abuse, violence, humiliation, starvation and denial of adequate medical treatment.

• The Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel said that the "numerous testimonies of sexual abuse in detention facilities are horrendous, and require action."

• The Israeli government said it will add two new wings for Palestinian detainees at the Sde Teiman detention center in its response to a petition in Israel's High Court by human rights groups to shut it down, citing human rights abuses.

That’s not nice is it @Forevernever24 would you like to comment on the Palestinian’s atrocities against the Israelis?

1. Do you have evidence that the Palestinians tortured and raped have committed any atrocities? If you do, Israeli forces might be interested, because a lot of the prisoners being abused have been detained without charge.
2. Punishing people for something done by other people who happen to belong to the same nationality or ethnicity or culture is called collective punishment and is contrary to international law.
3. Even if someone has been charged or even convicted of a brutal assault or terrorist attack, there are laws about what can be done to them. Prisoners still have the right not to be tortured.

@anotherlevel Genuinely felt like I needed a shower after watching it. I'm absolutely sick to my stomach. What is the mentality of these people that they can't find like 10 other men to rape a man with. They're sick in the head.

Shame some can't show the same disgust when it's a Palestinian being raped.
