Israeli army strapped wounded Palestinian to jeep

The Israeli military says the man was a suspect in a raid in the West Bank, but its forces violated protocol.

Maybe israel will release the Palestinian hostages too? That would also be nice, also you're deluded if you think Netanyahu will stop the war once the hostages are released, he doesn't give a damn about any hostages

There are no Palestinian hostages. They’re prisoners, locked up for breaking the law. And I recall that many more Palestinians prisoners were released than there were Israeli hostages released since 7th October.

The IDF rounds up and detains people all the time. Many of those detainees are completely innocent and there have been serious allegations of mistreatment, torture and sexual violence. I'm surprised you're not aware of this as someone who seems to have an interest in the region.

Seems like those you’re accusing of breaking the law without any proof of it are not the only ones that are breaking the law

there are 10k Palestinians in Israel prisons, releasing a few hundred doesn’t change much the scenario

Israel/OPT: Horrifying cases of torture and degrading treatment of Palestinian detainees amid spike in arbitrary arrests

Israeli authorities have dramatically increased their use of administrative detention, a form of arbitrary detention, of Palestinians across the occupied West Bank; extended emergency measures that facilitate inhuman and degrading treatment of prisoner...

Thousands of Palestinians, around 3,500, are currently held in indefinite administrative detention where they have not been charged with breaking any law.

"There are no Palestinian hostages. They’re prisoners, locked up for breaking the law."

Is this a joke.

You can't be ignorant of administrative detention, which allows Israel to imprison Palestinians without charge or trial.

In there thousands.

Men, women and children.

You mean apart from firing weapons at the IDF, among other things?

Sure according to another thread they've all got copies of Mein Kamph 😂

No, I mean they have not been charged with breaking any law.

Any law

As in they have broken no law whatsoever

A sickening incident.

His family wanted to call an ambulance, but the IDF beat him, swung him onto the jeep hood, strapped him down and drove off despite his critical injuries. The hot hood of the jeep burned his shirtless back. They were not quickly taking him to a hospital or to get medical attention. The video shows them driving past no fewer than 3 ambulances. The ambulances can’t stop IDF vehicles, the RC medics and ambulances are often shot at themselves.

The soldiers drove back and forth with him on their hood for at least 20mins according to the victim. The IDF then stopped and dumped him to the ground by unstrapping him and pushing him off the hood, so he was again injured falling from the hood to the ground. The IDF then let RC medics who had been trailing them approach take the man to hospital.

This is so obviously not justified in any way that the IDF has condemned their own actions in this.

Come on….this narrative came from the mouth of the ‘victim’. And we are really supposed to believe this? The story when it initially came out, was told by Palestinian witnesses, but seems to have been somewhat elaborated a tad, as the stories don’t match.

The “story” related earlier in the thread wasn’t by Palestinian witnesses at all. It was made up by several posters and didn’t even match what the IDF reported.

Well, you don't seem to have much trouble in claiming Israel is representative of land settlement, starvation, unlawful detainees etc. Are you only now going to start showing objectivity?

Cloclo93 · 24/06/2024 16:21

Has that not been all debunked as lies along with the 40 beheaded babies

Woman and girls being raped by hamas has not been debunked. Hamas and assorted individuals who took part in oct 7th did torture and rape and kidnap and murder.

Maybe the person strapped to the jeep has the full story?

You are clearly confused. An individual civilian isn’t directly comparable to a nation state.

Look up administrative detention.

And about 3 posts down I provided links to the BBC, btselem and NPR.

Many other sources are available.

And if you don't like those, here's the Jerusalem Post.

The “story” related earlier in the thread wasn’t by Palestinian witnesses at all. It was made up by several posters and didn’t even match what the IDF reported.

His family reported what happened, and there was no mention of all the detail now spouted by the ‘victim’. There’s different versions of how he eventually arrived at the hospital - now apparently the latest version indicates he was driven around before been dropped back on the floor where he started from, whereas family previously said he was dropped off at a building where people arranged for onward transportation to the hospital.

I'm not being funny, but do you read or watch any news at all?
