That was in response to KestrelMoon:

I was not ‘blaming Israel’ for the Hamas invasion.

I was questioning the IDF/Netanyahu’s need to kill 34,000 Palestinians mainly women and children in order to defend themselves against Hamas, instead of having done something basic like defending the border and listening to intelligence about impending attacks on that border. Everyone knows something went badly wrong there”.

Your comment sounded like it was putting blame on Israel for October 7th. You said in addition to questioning the death toll that:

“What Israel needed were minds that were capable of taking all sorts of prior threats they had been warned about seriously, and then they could have easily stopped the Oct 7 invasion.”

that was the sentence that I felt crossed a line into victim blaming.

I’m a bit late today, but thank you Bernie Sanders. Thanks for speaking sense, thanks for spelling it out clearly.

The blame for this situation doesn’t solely lay with one person or one particular group. It’s going to be like the Swiss cheese model isn’t it, all the holes lined up.

Netanyahu is stressing
Haaretz analyst Amos Harel writes that the Israeli government is working under the assumption that the ICC’s prosecutor, Karim Khan, may this week issue warrants for the arrest of Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi.

Some US officials say in internal memo Israel may be violating international law in Gaza

Buildings have become mere structures.
The houses that are still standing, their walls demolished, stand as testimony to the life that used to be.
More than 70% of homes across Sector #غزة were destroyed or damaged.

They had a BBC news report from Gaza last night covering an American doctor who had volunteered there. It was extremely distressing to be honest I couldn't really watch the footage of the sick and malnourished children it was heartbreaking. The footage though of the area was just devastation nothing but rubble for miles and miles. There is literally nothing left, the only option is to bulldoze everything away and start again. I don't think the buildings could even be salvaged everything will have to be raised to the ground

I don’t know which thread to put this one in

Netanyahu:

"We will enter Rafah and we don't care about the court in The Hague, the court is anti-Semitic"

https://twitter.com/Megatron_ron/status/1785337223409217873

He said something like we won't stop until our plan / job is done.

They know what they want to do and they are doing it in plain sight of the world and no one is doing enough to stop it.

This is awful. It's scary that someone can decide this is the war (?) they want to fight and go in and flatten the place.

My heart aches for all the innocent victims.

He is dangerous with his paranoia I mean even to say this:

This will be the first time that a democratic country, which is fighting for its life according to all the rules of international law, is accused of war crimes. If this thing does happen, it will be an indelible stain on all of humanity. It would be an unprecedented anti-Semitic hate crime, a crime that would add fuel to the anti-Semitic incitement that is already raging in the world.

By blaming antisemitism for everything it is doing a complete injustice to the seriousness of the offence it will fast become the boy who cried wolf and the term will become meaningless. No idea how the US and UK can continue to support Israel when they are claiming every International institution including the ICJ is anti-Semitic and out to get them. Israel has gone completely rogue and that is very dangerous and worrying for Gazans

https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/israeli-finance-minister-calls-utter-destruction-gaza-end-truce-talks

No half jobs. Rafah, Deir al-Balah, Nuseirat, total and utter destruction,” Smotrich said, referring to the two cities in Gaza and the Nuseirat refugee camp

Another worrying thing in that article is:

Israel is now planning a ring of checkpoints that will separate women, children and males in order to prevent "military age" men from fleeing a Rafah assault, Middle East Eye reported on Monday, citing a senior western official familiar with Israel's military plans

Is that another way of saying they will keep all men over 16(?) out of a safer zone, then say they are Hamas and kill them?

Sounds like it?

And given that they're unlikely to accept at face value any assertions of adolescent boys being under 16, this must be a terrifying prospect for any parent of a teenage boy.

Isolation, kettling, then execution...

2 weeks ago, we reported on a deadly strike in Gaza. The harrowing image of children's bodies splayed around a foosball table impossible to forget.
A CNN analysis of evidence recovered and documented at the scene of the strike now points to the likely cause: a precision-guided munition deployed by the Israeli military

Thanks for sharing, really good summary of the lies and support these lies get, mainly by America. They are rarely on the right side of history. I have been so disappointed in Biden and his government on this that I now think he deserves to lose the election, let Trump get into power and with another 4 years of Trump hopefully the US will lose their international influence and credibility.

Edited

I was reading yesterday that polls are giving trump as winner as Biden is losing quite a lot of support for the way he’s behaving with Gaza
