I thought that the rules of the Jewish religion include don’t kill, don’t steal, don’t covet your neighbours stuff…
This is so not about religion and do much about land hunger, racism and greed.

You are right, though sadly they might think God is on their side - as have many in the past plundering
and laying waste and stealing other people’s land.

Israel will no longer approve UN food convoys to north of Gaza

The head of the UN Palestinian refugee agency (UNRWA) says that Israel informed the UN that they will no longer approve UNRWA food convoys to north of Gaza.

UNRWA head Philippe Lazzarini said on social media platform X:
This is outrageous and makes it intentional to obstruct lifesaving assistance during a man made famine. These restrictions must be lifted.

Parkingt111 · 24/03/2024 15:53

@Efacsen that is absolutely outrageous. Especially when the north is currently suffering the most.
Would they rather the civilians there just starved to death?

Efacsen · 24/03/2024 16:07

@Parkingt111 isn't it just

Blatant, And no attempt to hide it

That's the worst part. Most of the allies have acknowledged that Israel is limiting and blocking aid. They have done this openly yet are not using the leverage they have to do anything about it. Despite reports coming out everyday of how drastically the situation is deteriorating.

Efacsen · 24/03/2024 16:33

It was only announced just over an hour ago so maybe there will be some push-back

EasterIssland · 24/03/2024 22:12

If we don’t get a pool, no one does”

Israeli soldiers blowing up a building for fun. No tunnels, no weapons, nothing. After blowing up the building, they come back and film the area, making fun of the ruins.

WHO chief says Israel must reverse decision on blocking north Gaza aid

The head of the World Health Organization (WHO) says Israel must “urgently reverse” its decision to block the entry of food convoys organised by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) into northern Gaza, where humanitarian needs are most urgent.

Parkingt111 · 25/03/2024 08:33

@Scirocco that makes me feel sick
I see another knesset member has just said the war will end once the Jews settle in the north of Gaza. I wonder why Netanyahu and Co have always denied the Palestinians to return back to the north after forcibly displacing them? Even though the US have been pushing for it. I have no doubt that ulterior motives are at play

https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20240324-israeli-war-to-end-with-jews-settling-northern-gaza-knesset-member/

Parkingt111 · 25/03/2024 08:36

Even during the ceasefire anybody who tried to go back north to check on their houses were shot at.
And now they are trying to further limit aid to the north, why?
So the few people remaining there have no choice but to leave?

Scirocco · 25/03/2024 08:43

"You can have the bit up to the road (after it's been bombed into a wasteland). We'll have the top bit and all the assets there (including the port?). New border, get used to it."

Sound plausible?

And that could be sold to the rest of the world as a concession in a ceasefire, while compromising with the knesset members pushing for resettlement and the 'settler' movement.

Efacsen · 25/03/2024 08:50

Doesn't the north have the best surfing beaches?

Read this somewhere months ago

And as you say a nice new sparkly 'temporary port' incoming thanks to the US

Parkingt111 · 25/03/2024 08:51

Yup, aerial footage shows that Israel have already divided Gaza into two parts. The North and the south with nobody able to move to either part without going through a checkpoint.
The US said one of the red lines would be to reduce Palestinian land. Yet ,they have already destroyed and levelled so many buildings to create a buffer zone.

Dulra · 25/03/2024 08:56

The US said one of the red lines would be to reduce Palestinian land.
I sincerely hope they do not stand back and let Israel get away with this if this is their intention. Occupying/stealing Gazan land is very different to defending Isreal and defeating Hamas so I have no idea how they would justify it to the International community? It would also in no way keep Israelis safe because that land would be a battleground. I personally don't think Israel would get away with it and I hope I am right

This is what some people are now openly saying they intend or want to do...

This was on the News at 10 last night including interviews with two of the people in this article. The most shocking part for me was this:

I put it to her that her comments sound like a plan for ethnic cleansing. She does not deny it.
"You can call it ethnic cleansing. I repeat again, the Arabs do not want, normal Arabs do not want to live in Gaza. If you want to call it cleansing, if you want to call it apartheid, you choose your definition. I choose the way to protect the state of Israel."

Dulra · 25/03/2024 09:38

@Zonder

Hope those words come back to haunt her, their blatant racism, oppression and dehumanisation of Palestinians is there for all to see, evil woman.

Israel to 'phase out' use of Unrwa, accusing refugee agency of 'perpetuating the conflict'

An Israeli official has confirmed that Israel will cease working the the UN relief and works agency that assists Palestinian refugees in Gaza, accusing the organisation of “perpetuating the conflict”.

And just for good measure

Netanyahu threatens to cancel delegation visit to Washington if the US does not use veto at UN security council

Israeli media is reporting that prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu will call off the visit of senior aides to Washington this week if the US does not use its veto to block a UN Security Council resolution today calling for a ceasefire if it does not have the release of hostages as a condition.

Efacsen · 25/03/2024 14:28

UNSC meeting has just started

Efacsen · 25/03/2024 14:42

A bit of a surprise here

UN security council resolution calling for Gaza ceasefire passes

The UN security council has passed a draft resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, avoiding a veto by any of the major powers.

US abstained

Parkingt111 · 25/03/2024 15:01

Is the resolution binding? Its a first that the US didn't use their veto
Does it signify the tides changing

All UNSC resolutions are considered binding under international law!

No, the fascist government will not give a shit!

Yes, the US are arseholes, and the statement by the ambassador was deeply racist.

But they abstained.

And the tide might be turning. finally.

I cannot fucking stop crying now - not because I think it will make an immediate difference, but because - in our thousands, in our millions - we have been screaming and shouting and maybe, just maybe, we have started to be heard!

Parkingt111 · 25/03/2024 15:49

France is calling for a permanent ceasefire.
Netanyahu is unsurprisingly not happy that the US didn't use their veto like they usually do.
