Indeed. Do people genuinely believe this stuff?

Once more for the people at the back.

Because. Israel. Has. Rewritten. History. Because. It. Supports. Their. Zionist. Ideology

BackandForthRoundandRound · 11/02/2024 14:35

I would recommend not sticking to the usual Israel-friendly pieces...

Also, why should Egypt open their border?

Because a country being a maniac decides to bully and murder people off their own land.

Expecting other countries to bow down to them.

I don't think they should have to open their borders. But there are continuous demands for Israel to do so for a range of reasons despite Israel’s obvious security concerns. It’s like Israel is held to a different standard to Egypt. Why is that?

Fuck me. Do you really believe that Israel has magically been able to rewrite the history of multiple countries throughout Asia and Africa?

BabaBarrio · 11/02/2024 15:03

@Notsuretoputit

Thank you, so it appears perhaps thousands of Jewish people were expelled forcibly, but not the whole 900,000 that ended up migrating during the period.

Wiki has a good summary on
“The reasons for the exoduses are manifold, including: pull factors, such as the desire to fulfill Zionism, find a better economic status and a secure home in either Israel or Europe and the Americas, and the Israeli government's implementation of official policy in favour of the "One Million Plan" to focus on accommodating Jewish immigrants from Arab- and Muslim-majority countries;[17]and push factors, such as antisemitism, persecution, and pogroms, political instability,[18] poverty,[18] and expulsion. The history of the exodus has been politicized, given its proposed relevance to the historical narrative of the Arab–Israeli conflict.[19][20] When presenting the history, those who view the Jewish exodus as analogous to the 1948 Palestinian expulsion and flight generally emphasize the push factors and consider those who left to have been refugees, while those who oppose that view generally emphasize the pull factors and consider the Jews to have been willing immigrants, sometimes positing a "malicious Zionist conspiracy" to explain the exodus.[21]”

Because Israel is the occupying power over all the Palestinian Territories. Being an occupying power comes with responsibilities under international law.

Israel wasn’t occupying Gaza.

DistinguishedSocialCommenator · 10/02/2024 22:32

Don't forget what started it. It would end m right now if Hamms released the hostages.

Israel left Gaza to their own devices and look what Hamas did

Hamas lied to their people in the elections about a peaceful solution

Why is Hamas not releasing the hostages?

Why is next door, Egypt not letting people into Egypt?

What is going on is wrong, but we must never forget what started it and Isareli hostages till held

You’re as clueless on international politics as you are at home. If Hamas released the hostages tomorrow, Israel would not stop.

That is what happens due to Israel deciding to occupy....

Maybe they shouldn't have done that from the get go??

BabaBarrio · 11/02/2024 15:11

Ugh this thread has been derailed with chit chat of but who started it, tanks don’t fire bullets BS, that’s just war, how do we know these two girls weren’t lying about being under IDF gunfire and Hamas killed them as a propaganda stunt, now into what about this or that ancient history. 🛑

This thread is insane

Pp said ‘oh but why does no one talk about all the Arab Jews who were displaced? There has been no mention of them’

Ive explained why - because Israel made a concerted effort. And now you’re popping up claiming history hasn’t been rewritten at all.

so which is it? Everyone knows about the Arab Jews or no one knows?

because the absolute knots some posters are tying themselves in to avoid any criticism of Israel is akin to some sort of brainwashed cult members. Absolutely bonkers.

it would be laughable if it wasn’t so worrying how bad people’s critical thinking can be

BabaBarrio · 11/02/2024 15:12

Israel wasn’t occupying Gaza.

Yes it was per the legal definition.

Yes it was per the legal definition since 1967.

The military withdrawal of 2005 was not the end of the occupation.

Egypt should not be forced into opening their borders due to Israel attempting to boot the Palestinian people off of their own land.

This issue needs to be dealt with and not allowed to continue as Netanyahu and his bunch of cronies have all made their goals perfectly clear. Sitting back and allowing a country to massacre another should not be happening in this day and age.

“The PRCS accused Israel of deliberately targeting the ambulance. “The occupation deliberately targeted the Red Crescent crew despite prior coordination to allow the ambulance to arrive at the site to rescue Hind,” it said in a statement”.

“The Guardian has contacted the Israel Defense Forces for comment”.

On another thread there is a clip if a sniped-off mother and four year old boy.

It seems possible the proud Israeli army has members doing this sort of thing for fun.

"Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Said was determined to drive the Jews out of his country as quickly as possible,[70][73][74] and on August 21, 1950 he threatened to revoke the license of the company transporting the Jewish exodus if it did not fulfill its daily quota of 500 Jews.
The available planes initially did not match the demand, and as a result many Jews had to wait for extended periods of time in Iraq while awaiting transport to Israel. These Jews, having already been denaturalized and renounced all property, were now stateless and destitute, and many were now homeless and sleeping on the streets. The Iraqi government announced that if the Jews were not removed more swiftly, they would be placed in concentration camps. As a result, more airlines were chartered to speed up the exodus.[59]"

It was ethnic cleansing. Stop denying that Jews were ethnically cleansed and forcibly displaced.

I did concede some of the migrants had been ethnically cleansed, but the evidence shows it was nowhere near the 900,000 you claimed.

So for almost two weeks, no one knew what had happened to Hind and the two ambulance drivers. No one knew if they were dead or alive. Yet all of a sudden everyone knows for certain that they were maliciously killed by the IDF. Despite there being no witnesses (because if there had been witnesses, we would obviously have known a lot sooner that they were dead). So no witnesses yet we all apparently know what happened, and anyone who dares say that we don't know what happened is accused of all sorts of terrible things and ridiculed.

Notsuretoputit · 11/02/2024 15:22

Israel withdrew its military and civilians from Gaza and dismantled its settlements back in 2005.

We are just choosing to believe the two brave young girls who tried calling for help in awful circumstances. We believe them, it's that simple really.
