Because if the Gazans are driven out, there will be a whitewash for future generations in which Gazans never lived or owned homes in Gaza (except for some recently-arrived Iranian terrorists).
Israel will have been a kind and generous nation which tried and tried to be friends but the terrorists wouldn’t allow it. They attacked out of the blue, starting a war which took Israel completely by surprise. Israel tried to defend itself using minimal force to civilians, with the sole aim of rescuing the hostages. After the hostages were rescued and Hamas was defeated the remaining Iranian terrorists voluntarily left Gaza forever.
I think it’s important that the ICJ, amongst many others, will have gathered a lot of evidence contradicting the above for future worldwide reference.
