That Parliamentary debate could be the basis for a new thread though, so though there are a few things I might have quoted from there for more reflection this is not quite the place.
Briefly, it does bring up the same figure of 800000- 850000 or some mentioned 1 million, (with one speaker mentioning positive motives for resettling among some).
The message of the debate overall is to remember Arab Jews too are refugees; the Arab Jews too, not just Palestinians, suffered greatly after 1948.
There was also mention of support for a two state solution and a warning not to recreate more suffering.
