A Palestinian doctor risks her life to save the life of a young man who was shot by a sniper. Unbelievable that doctors have to risk being sniped just to do their job.

Who gives a flying fig what Ireland says?

They turn a blind eye to terrorism.

Thanks for sharing. A strong much needed statement. Hoping that other countries follow this example. Germany's foreign minister has also expressed concern

Good to see he’s not like Sunak … if only he could stop sending arms to Israel 🤔

From the German Foreign Office

Already, the suffering in #Rafah is unfathomable. In an extremely confined space 1.3 million people are seeking shelter from the fighting. A large-scale IDF offensive in Rafah would be a humanitarian catastrophe in the making. The people of #Gaza cannot vanish into thin air

That's why Netanyahu has told IDF to start evacuating civilians.

No but they can leave via the Rafah crossing.

They’re going to be busy moving injured, elderlies and thousands of people!

Well you appear to care.
Because in your heart you know Israel is doing something that is morally wrong.

I'm not party to the logistics of it or what space is available and neither are any of us on this board.

So why not all stop speculating and wait for developments, seeing we can't do anything about it anyway?

Germany's foreign office is quite well aware that forced displacement contravenes International law which is why they probably didn't suggest that, unlike yourself.

Congratulations. You support ethnic cleansing.

anotherfatyorkie · 10/02/2024 22:46

Arrant nonsense.

"Ethnic cleansing is the systematic forced removal of ethnic, racial, or religious groups from a given area, with the intent of making a region ethnically homogeneous."

Would you rather they were killed/injured?

Kindatired · 10/02/2024 22:46

Many if the posters on this thread have experience of disaster management and are well qualified to comment.
@anotherfatyorkie What’s led you to take such a strong position on something you now say you don’t fully understand?
Israel is about to embark on something really terrible from which there will be no going back.
It’s time for the UN Security Council to take some decisive step , at a minimum it’s time for serious economic sanctions to bring Israel to its senses.

What they heck has Germany got to do with it?
