It’s just heartbreaking. I’ve seen videos on twitter that are beyond anything I can even begin to describe. Palestinians are being murdered in their thousands and the western media is largely pretending it’s not happening.

The average age of the people who have been killed in Gaza is FIVE years old.

The UK media are not showing how the Israeli government is openly talking about, and cheerleading genocide now. Israeli government speaks about Palestinians as if they are not humans. They are saying women are targets as they can have babies. I’ve just read how, since October 7th they have taken over 5,000 Palestinians from the West Bank and tortured them. They were already routinely arresting Palestinians and taking them away from their family with no reason and no but this is not being adequately reported.

Please, please visit sites such as 972 magazine and declassified uk. The BBC, etc, unfortunately aren’t reporting the extent to what is going on.

I suspect there will be people like that out there but there are also people who celebrate the death of Palestinians so

I remain sad for innocents on both sides and I remain convinced that there are more innocent Palestinians killed than Jews

It’s utterly appalling for them. Do you know that the families of the hostages last week marched for five days to protest the government’s refusal to sign the hostage exchange deal (that was first offered just days after Oct7). Hamas wants the children and women who are being illegally detained in Israeli prisons (some for years with no trial) to be freed in return for freeing female and child hostages. The families and many Israelis have been pleading for this but so far they’re being ignored. One Israeli minister told a weeping father “you don’t have monopoly on grief”… it would be great if the Israeli government cared for the hostages, many would be free by now. A lot of Israelis believe the hostages are being sacrificed because they are not valuable to the govt except as pawns. It’s so awful.

It quickly became apparent to me who the ‘moral’ side were.

And it wasn’t the ones happily going along to marches alongside men who had shouting for the murder or gassing of Jewish people and calling for people to ‘rape their daughters’.

Can you imagine people happily going along to marches where people were screaming ‘burn the gays’, ‘kill all trans people’ or ‘rape the blacks’ and trying to pass it off as ‘oh well, only a few people were saying that’.

And after seeing the same man ‘acting’ as different roles in three different Hamas sob story videos, I am extremely sceptical on the figures quoted. But still shocked at the amount of useful idiots supporting their calls for a ceasefire (because it’s the only possible way they can have a pause to build their strength back up and attempt to exterminate Israel again).

The IDF have killed 50 Palestinian journalists in the past six weeks.
Those remaining have been made refugees along with 1.7million people displaced in refugee camps, they are being starved (every bakery has been bombed), trying to stave off disease (with no clean water for weeks the UN have said the risk of a cholera epidemic is imminent) and have had to watch their families and friends be blown up by the Israeli army.
The calculated coldness of this “gotcha” take is frightening.

I have been so downhearted that people can watch with their own eyes what is going on and still think there is justification. Women and children slaughtered. A UN doctor has been reported killed today along with her 6 month old baby, her husband her brothers and extended family members while trying to shelter from the Israeli bombs. How can ANYONE justify these killings. Men’s lives matter too. The innocent men who are caught up in all this, sons, fathers and brothers. Young men who wanted better, who had dreams. All I can see from this is that in response to the Israeli savagery it will drive young boys and men into the arms of groups like Hamas. So you Israeli apologists can keep going back to October 7th but we cannot change that, we can only try to stop this ongoing despicable madness. No if buts or whataboutery- all that can come when the slaughtering stops

As I remarked on another thread, the Netanyahu government should refer themselves to the Judgement of Solomon. If they care about the hostages they’d agree to a ceasefire and start dialogue in earnest. They’re just using the Hamas atrocities to justify the ethnic cleansing they wanted to do all along

I understand what you're saying, but for a lot of people the attack on the 7th of October hasn't ended yet. It won't end until all the hostages are returned. It's not in the past, it's still very much now. I hope you understand what I mean by that. I'm not trying to be all "what about". I'm just saying that it's not so easy to move on from something that is still happening.
