Israel has bombed the gates of the Al Shalha hospital.

Everyone knows displaced families are sheltering in and near hospitals.

@feralunderclass exactly well said

Parkingt111 · 13/11/2023 14:41

One hundred US government officials from the state department and international development agency have signed an internal memo criticizing the White House for “disregarding the lives of Palestinians” and for showing an “unwillingness to de-escalate” in the Israel-Hamas war.

Have you seen footage of Gaza? More than 50% of residential buildings are now rubble. As Dr Mads Gilbert said, this is a slow motion genocide. This way, with intermittent shouts of "Hamas!" "Human shields!" "Beheaded babies!" some support of Israel will be enough. Even the US, the biggest Israeli brown nosers are saying there has been too many civilian casualties. If Israel did drop a nuclear weapon and wipe out Palestinians in one go there would be WWIII, and I think it would be the end of Israel. The world can only sit and watch so much brutal carnage before going mad.

If Israel did drop a nuclear weapon and wipe out Palestinians in one go there would be WWIII, and I think it would be the end of Israel.

I don't think it is the end of the State of Israel.

I DO think that it will increase the amount of anti semitisim in the world and that scares me as my kin will (already are) on the recieving end.

I DO think we in Europe will have fall out from this. Don't tell me there is not a young man or two out there who will not say - give me a vest and let them feel what I feel.

But regardless of any of that the leval of cruelty is blinding, it takes my breath away.

I wonder if the Hamas use as their playbook the Zionist tactics used against the British and the Palestininas in the 30s?

When the Zionists first started their terrorist campaign before winning and becoming the State of Israel.

I wonder if Hamas leadership think - well why not? It worked for them?

Lets experiment a bit with your post and see if any of it fits? The IDF and IAF vastly out-man (British Army/British Empire in the 30s), out-spend and out-gun Hamas (Zionist terrorists). So they cannot face them in symmetric warfare, and so use asymmetric warfare, along with human shields in order to try and counter Israel’s (British Empire) significantly superior military might. But that’s why civilians are dying. Because that’s Hamas (Zionists) tactic to counter the fact that Israel (Brisish Empire) are the superior force.

The depravity and cruelty of the State of Israel in this moment has the same Nationalist smell as Russian. It has White Supremency all over it.

It is not defense.

It is ethnic cleansing and a land grab.

If they cared about Palestinians, they would allow refugees to flee towards Egypt. But they won’t, because if there is no civilian coverage, they know they’re done for.

Why keep repeating this?
Does Egypt want a million people pouring over it's border?

The Palestinians that fled to Jordon are still there because Israel will not let them back in.
How many Rights of Return groups would like in the world?

Because the Hamas leadership aren't thinking 'why not, it worked for them'

They're not pursuing statehood alongside Israel. Hamas have sworn to eradicate Israel from the map. That is their stated aim. A two state solution is not acceptable to them, the only possible solution to Hamas (and Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad, the majority actors AFAIK) is the removal of Israel.

It's in their founding document, article 11? i think. It's been a long time since I read this.

From what I read of their most recent charter, they hadn't said that, and they haven't refused a two state solution either. Israel will not accept a two state solution as the resolutions have all suggested the dismantling of the illegal settlements. Only last week Ben Gvri said that the West Bank will all belong to the Jewish people, and who cares about international laws or conventions because God gave it to them 🙄.
Yes this will definitely have a knock on effect for Jewish people in Europe sadly. The Israeli government is to blame for this, it's on world record now how they have abused Palestinians and called for a second Nakba unashamedly. The world is tuning into the historic human rights abuses now, and they've only got themselves to blame. But of course they'll turn it all around and make themselves the victim, as usual.

No matter how hard you try to make Israel the victim - you cannot.

Israel is a nuclear power and gets a financial boost of just under $4 billion dollars a year.

Israel has the the USA on it's side largely because of the power of the Jewish vote in the USA.

Israel does not suffer from any trade embargoes or indeed any consequence ever for any bad behavior with regard to the Palestinians.

Finally Hamas may well state they want Israel off the map.

Instead of saying it - Israel actually does it.

In 80 years they have taken from the Palestinians 10s of thousands of lives and most of their land.

But rest easy my friend.

Sleep well while blocking out the images of the children you have condemned.

Hiddenmnetter · 13/11/2023 16:46

I’m simply saying that your condemnation of Israel for its actions is misguided. They are dealing with an actor who is not another state actor, who confines its actions to the rules of war, or who has negotiable aims.

Their attack in October wasn’t for furthering some political agenda, or trying to force Israel into some kind of settlement. It was because Hamas believes that they are fully justified in the slaughter of every Jew in the world, that the middle East is consecrated Islamic ground and that the rape, torture and murder of Israeli citizens is not only fair game, it’s laudable action.

Do you recall the celebrations globally after the October attack? Before Israel retaliated? Celebrating the murder of Israeli citizens? I don’t see the same here- no one likes what’s happening, but I understand why Israel are doing what they’re doing.

And I am simply saying that your lack of condemnation of Israel for its actions is misguided, if not morally reprehensible.

They are dealing with an actor who is not another state actor because they have no State because?? who confines its actions to the rules of war as Israel did against the British in there 30s, or who has negotiable aims yes they have.

Their attack in October wasn’t for furthering some political agenda, or trying to force Israel into some kind of settlement.the attack happened after repeated failed negotiations for prisoner rights. Having said that I utterly condemn the attacks committed by Hamas in October. It was because Hamas believes that they are fully justified in the slaughter of every Jew in the world, that the middle East is consecrated Islamic ground and that the rape, torture and murder of Israeli citizens is not only fair game, it’s laudable action. This is propaganda. Hammered home all the bloody time. Every Palestinian is not Hamas.

Do you recall the celebrations globally after the October attack? Celebrating the murder of Israeli citizens?
No I don't actually. I remember global disgust after the attacks and immediate and almost total support for Israel. I remember almost total hour at the fact that so many had been murdered. I do not remember GLOBAL CELEBRATIONS.

@Hiddenmnetter Have you read the 2017 Hamas charter? This is what they have to say about Jewish people.

"16. Hamas affirms that its conflict is with the Zionist project not with the Jews because of their religion. Hamas does not wage a struggle against the Jews because they are Jewish but wages a struggle against the Zionists who occupy Palestine. Yet, it is the Zionists who constantly identify Judaism and the Jews with their own colonial project and illegal entity."

Doesn't sound like they want to kill every Jew in the world.

So anti semitic attacks throughout the world are the fault of the Israeli government? You should be careful making that kind statement. Would you tolerate someone saying that about any other group? I lived in Stamford Hill over 20 years ago and witnessed anti semitic attacks out my window. Is that Israel's fault too?

@PurpleCrocs3 selectively pulling out a single quote while ignoring many many more that specifically refer to jewish people, is not engaging in good faith. they have a long long history of saying they will kill all jewish people, they are the most contemptible people on earth etc etc surely you don't; believe suddenly they say its just the zionists? Also what is your definition of Zionist? Is it ok to want to kill them?

July 2019:A senior member of Gaza's Islamist rulers Hamas has encouraged Palestinians across the globe to kill Jews, drawing outrage from both Israeli and Palestinian officials as well as a U.N. envoy. In video from a speech to participants of weekly protests on Friday, Fathi Hamad, a member of the movement's top political body, can be seen calling on Palestinians across the globe to carry out attacks."If this siege is not undone, we will explode in the face of our enemies, with God's permission. The explosion is not only going to be in Gaza but also in the West Bank and abroad, God willing," Hamad said."But our brothers outside are preparing, trying to prepare, warming up."He continued: "Seven million Palestinians outside, enough warming up, you have Jews with you in every place. You should attack every Jew possible in all the world and kill them."

No one is surprised to read what Hamas leaders say. We all know they are a terror organisation.
But when Israeli officials do the exact same, then there is no difference between Hamas and them.

Back to hospitals what this thread is about

Al Shifa hospital has now more or less turned into a cemetery. There are dead bodies outside the hospital and inside. Nobody can leave to try and retrieve them to bury them. The dead are not even given the dignity of a funeral

From BBC
Doctors in Gaza say dead bodies are beginning to pile up both inside and outside the hospital, and Lindmeier also described this, saying the hospital was functioning more like a cemetery.

stormy4319trevor · 13/11/2023 17:41

@Parkingt111 This is a major infection risk. They are creating a site for outbreaks of disease.

TakeMe2Insanity · 13/11/2023 17:59

Well they are stuck. The drs/nurses/medics have been saying they’ve run our of resources :( they’ve also been talking about infection risk as they can’t keep wounds clean and flies are everywhere. Its horrible thinking it doesn’t need to be like this. They could have let medical supplies in.

Especially as the director of the hospital has been saying that would only cover an hour, they wanted him personally to collect (from an area of active firing) and he wanted red cross involvement in the delivery.

It is never the fault of a nation that people choose to be suicide bombers. Some wicked people choose to become terrorists. No one forces them into it. They might well try to shift the blame like a husband who beats his wife and says she brought it on herself, but if anyone in the UK breaks the law by attacking jews or anyone else then that is their fault, on them, nothing to do with the state.

Luckily in the UK we still have freedom of speech and I can say I support Israel.
