Israel has bombed the gates of the Al Shalha hospital.

Everyone knows displaced families are sheltering in and near hospitals.

So let me get this straight..... Israel won't allow fuel into Gaza because they don't want Hamas getting their hands on it but they offered to supply the hospital they claim is the centre of Hamas operations with fuel. Someone needs to make that make sense.

Presumably now that they're on the ground near the hospital they can ensure the fuel is used appropriately, as opposed to it being allowed into Gaza unsupervised?

So now they are cool with allowing fuel into Hamas's military base? You know the one under shifa hospital that they have been banging on about for weeks and still are, where apparently Hamas are hiding out and firing from?
Make it make sense please

Green777 · 12/11/2023 22:08

@SomeCatFromJapan

Babies are dying in that hospital as we speak, so far two today and one yesterday. Children too have died today. So don’t you dare try and come on here and imply that the IDF care one iota.

SomeCatFromJapan · 12/11/2023 22:08

I never believed in corrupt Netanyahu and his quest for ethnic cleansing and don’t believe him now either. He and the IDF have all the power to say anything they like, that’s why they’re shutting off communications I’m Gaza, so their word is swallowed whole by people like you.

I'm no Netanyahu fan either and I'm probably coming across as credulous to the Israeli position to try and provide a counterbalance to the general vibe on here which is pretty much that Israel is an evil monster and everything they say is outright lies. I mean clearly both sides are going to be saying what they need to and trying to control the narrative, but Israel on balance seems to produce more receipts.

I'm also disinclined to disbelieve Hamas on principle after what they did. Years of deceit to build up to it, as well, so they're practiced liars.

How will they do that from their tanks and sniper positions outside the hospital when Hamas are apparently inside shooting anyone who tries to leave?

Seriously I'm not surprised you feel foolish, you just regurgitate any old propaganda without thinking it through.

Excuse me? I'll "dare" to make whatever point I wish.

I didn't regurgitate that, I was speculating. But silly me not to rely on Hamas and instagram I guess.

Green777 · 12/11/2023 22:11

@SomeCatFromJapan

Please spare us.

You’re a die hard pro Israel poster always coming with excuses for the IDF. Always, relentlessly.

I hope you’ve answered @FOJN

Green777 · 12/11/2023 22:14

@SomeCatFromJapan

Also stop with the Hamas shit, no one supports them or can rely on them so you’re arguing with yourself there.

Youre trying to excuse Israel’s actions with Hamas this and Hamas that. No. Israel is responsible for their actions.

SomeCatFromJapan · 12/11/2023 22:14

It's not excuses. I just provide a counter-balance to some of the claims on here if I come across them. I tend to mostly caveat them as well if they're not confirmed, unlike many of the posters here who will post the flimsiest and most unsubstantiated of claims as fact.

Green777 · 12/11/2023 22:16

@SomeCatFromJapan

gaslighting.

SomeCatFromJapan · 12/11/2023 22:16

I genuinely don't see what other choice Israel has, at present, than to eradicate Hamas from Gaza. And as has been said many times, it was Hamas' actions that prompted that necessity. I wish none of it was happening.

EnoughIsay · 12/11/2023 22:17

Hiddenmnetter · 12/11/2023 20:05

But Hamas won’t follow. They want the IDF to withdraw because Al Shifa is a base of their operations. They can then carry on doing whatever they want to do (presumably to plan their next attack) without harassment. IDF can’t draw them off, if they move away, the fighting stops, and Hamas carry on operations as usual. Israel gets more rockets launched at it, and apparently another breakthrough where more Israeli citizens are murdered, raped, tortured and kidnapped.

This isn’t a zonal conflict in the sense of urban warfare and the hospital happens to be in the way. Hamas use civilian infrastructure to hide their centres of operation. They rely on civilian casualties to try and stop the IDF striking their strongholds. When the IDF launch their “knock on the roof” (a rocket with no explosive head) on an apartment block to get civilians to flee because they know the building is being used by Hamas, Hamas then force the women and children to climb onto the roof.

How do you engage that without collateral damage?

I think you are disingenuous.

i think the only point of any of your posts is to put firmly in place the fantasy that there is a battle between equals.

This is clearly not a battle between Israel and Hamas.

this is clearly a battle whose sole objective is clearly the eradication of Palestinians.

But you believe that Israel will kindly ensure that fuel is delivered to the hospital to save the day after a month of denying the civilians of Gaza food, water and medical care and after targeting journalists and aid workers and killing over 11000 people.

Seems reasonable.

SomeCatFromJapan · 12/11/2023 22:17

@Green777 I've just remembered that you're the poster that thinks the M&S Christmas advert was some weird anti-Palestinian statement.

usually, after they “event” when everything can be put together the Palestinians and Israelis come out about equal in truth.

how does that sit with you?

This is an especially weird belief seeing as on a thread earlier she seemed to believe that 'fighting around the hospital' meant that hamas were in the hospital. Now she seemingly believes that Israel are leaving fuel on the doorstep for Hamas who she thinks are inside because Israel 'are on the ground near the hospital'.

Fairtobefairohhhhhc · 12/11/2023 22:24

Anyone following osrael and believing them doesn't know what they believe because Israel changes their stories and evidence almost daily. So ofcourse those who believe them are confused. Lol

SomeCatFromJapan · 12/11/2023 22:24

Absolutely fine. Time will tell and I like seeing facts established. Truth being the first casualty of war and all that.

Presumably even the most diehard Zionists realise that causing the deaths of almost 40 premature babies in a NICU looks pretty bad so they're trying to look like nice guys on this particular atrocity. It may be working to an extent because some news channels are still saying that Israel have offered to evacuate the babies when there's no sign of that actually happening.

FOJN · 12/11/2023 22:27

This is what the Director of the hospital told Aljazeera. They are quoting him directly.

Propaganda’: Al-Shifa director refutes Israeli fuel claims
Muhammad Abu Salmiya says Israeli claims that the hospital refused fuel are “propaganda”.

Speaking to Al Jazeera, Abu Salmiya said: “Israeli officials reached out to me twice about providing the hospital with fuel: once to offer 2,000 litres [440 gallons] and then another to offer 300 litres [66 gallons]. Keep in mind the hospital needs from 8,000 [1,760 gallons] to 12,000 litres [2,640 gallons] per day.

“The same person called me at 2am and said the 300 litres can be picked up from a specific spot that is dangerous and susceptible to shelling. I told him to send it or a larger quantity so we can operate a generator via the Red Cross.

“Israel wants to show the world that it is not killing babies. It wants to whitewash its image with 300 litres of fuel, which barely last 30 minutes,” Abu Salmiya said.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier said Israel had offered fuel to Al-Shifa, which suspended life-saving operations after running out.

Netanyahu was asked in an interview if Israel has a plan to get fuel into Gaza to power hospitals. “We just offered Shifa hospital the fuel, they refused it,” Netanyahu said.

Yep those pesky prem babies that everyone cares about are a bit of a PR nightmare

But at least it's down from the previous 130 prems

Shame on you who are okay with war crimes being committed and babies being starved of food and oxygen. Shame on you.

Years from now historians will read this thread to study how on earth the most well-documented genocide went ahead.

Shame on you.
