Israel has bombed the gates of the Al Shalha hospital.

Everyone knows displaced families are sheltering in and near hospitals.

@EasterIssland oh I'm sure it's in the pipeline, next propaganda stage is to declare all UN workers and doctors as Hamas

Parkingt111 · 12/11/2023 09:14

The stage after that will be all the children are potential future Hamas therefore legitimate targets
And we will still have some posters come on to say 'Can't you see! The poor IDF didn't have a choice'

This has been happening for years. And the poor Palestinians can't defend themselves. Because they aren't allowed.

Whatever happens, you need permission from israels government to breathe there.

They keep saying the land is their and they are the chosen ones. Anyone who is a zionist can apply and move their. Imagine being so narcissistic to believe you are a 'chosen' one so that you can justify stealing someone's house.

@Xenia honestly? When has the UK government since WW2 helped the UK citizens... how many terror attacks have there been. They get a slap on the wrist and a bit of time in prison. Where is the roar you talk about? Rishi standing on a podium declaring the UK backs israel, when we can see a lot of the population Do Not, is not a brave roar of the UK but the timid squeak of a mouse scared of Israel.

Anyone touting whatever you say against israel as Antisemitic have twisted and contorted the narrative in their attempt to win their argument. This is NOT about Jews and Muslims, Christians. This is about a blood thirsty Israeli government, not Jewish but zionist, who wants their 'inheritence' Yemen will be next, so you can see why they are really not happy!

There is enough verified evidence that isrEl have a plan and are following through. And those who say we can't verify any sources. There are videos of Netanyahu saying it!! How much more verified do you need

I have woken up funking furious that those supporting this genocide accused me of playing a game last night in my posts.

This not a game this is genocide. This is my community being slaughterd!

I couldn't give a flying fuck If you don't like what pro Palestinians are saying. Someone said if your family was slaughtered 1400 would you not want to retaliate... what about the palestinian civilians. Or are they just animals as described by many Israeli officials?

If they are animals, then so am I!

Isn’t that the point of this entire post? The suggestion that IDF are bombing a hospital, and the suggestion that they’re doing so to strike at civilian targets? Then there are those who are arguing that the hospital is not the target but collateral damage.

This is the actual point- going on about the poor Palestinians or the poor Israelis is missing the point (and sometimes it almost feels deliberate).

Hamas attacked CIVILIANS.
Israel is retaliating against valid military targets.
Because of Hamas doctrine of concealing themselves within civilian infrastructure and using human shields, there is a terrible civilian loss of life.

The suggestion that actually it’s just about zionists trying to take land is for some reason proposing a conspiracy to account for what is very straight forward. It is, as Ockham says, multiplying bodies beyond necessity. It does not take much looking to see the long and extended history Hamas have of using human shields.

feralunderclass · 12/11/2023 09:34

Dr Ahmed Al Mokhallati from Shifa hospital has said that no assistance has been offered by Israel to evacuate the babies so it's not possible. Anyone walking within the hospital vicinity is a target.
The hospital is a danger zone, there is severe overcrowding, no antiseptic, full of smoke, toilets aren't flushing due to lack of water. Israeli snipers firing through hospital windows.
21 out of the 35 medical care units in Gaza are now closed.

Well that's very sad for those babies and their parents but not entirely surprising

Hamas built tunnels and certainly not to be cooler in hot summers but for nefarious purposes. Israel warned on about 8 Nov that people should leave the North. It has continued to give warnings including paper drops as they know comms are cut.

I know there are some Palestinian supporters in the UK but plenty of people support Israel. if someone invaded the UK and killed 1400 people and slit the throats of babies in Kent we would do whatever it took to protect our nation including what we did in WII. We may seem like a sleeping giant in the West but we roar very hard if there are threats to our citizens and Israel is entitled to do the same. Hopefully the Hamas theat can be reduced and some good will come out of the Hamas terrorist killings. We should also be looking very carefully at whether particularly in London we have given sanctuary to Hamas terrorists.

How are people in the north of Gaza meant to leave from the hospitals - the ill, disabled and elderly? Their doctors won’t leave them but patients are dying from lack of medical supplies.

Where are those physically able to walk to go to - where will they stay, work, shop and go to school?

Israel are only making statements about telling people to move south so they can try (unsuccessfully) to avoid being tried for war crimes.

Please stop with your because of Hamas doctrine of using human shields civilians have been killed

Israel has been killing civilians, with impunity, for decades. Please do not insult anyone's intelligence by claiming that 11,000 civilians in one month have been killed because Hamas are hiding behind them. And don't dare call them "collateral damage, " these were women like you and me who had the same hopes and dreams for their dc that we do. Israel are firing shots into a paediatric intensive care ward, please do not say "but Hamas!". The world has had enough of the lies!

Fairtobefairohhhhhc · 12/11/2023 09:49

The atrocities happening in palestinians have woken people up. We keep hearing free palestine. Palestine are freeing us in the west. We have woken up and seen the government's for who they really are. It can't be denied any more.

Palestine will never be free, but it won't stop us wanting this. It will lead the way for people defending what is right for others. I believe this could be a start of a revolution. However I also believe nothing will come.of it as the government's are so deep routed it will bring around very little change.

Parker231 · 12/11/2023 09:58

Unfortunately over the years the situation has got worse not better for the Palestinians. I found this photo from our first visit in 2011.

For all those posters defending the genocide being committed before the whole world, are you trying to justify the killing of over 11,000 defenseless people -majority of whom women and children- in a little over a month?

Are you trying to justify carpet bombing?

Are you trying to justify IDF snipers targeting any human in Gaza?

Are you trying to justify attacking hospitals and blood banks?

Are you trying to justify destroying mosques and churches?

Are you for real???

Assuming the majority of you are mums, I simply cannot comprehend how you feel OK for any child, whoever s/he is or wherever s/he comes from, to be killed. One dead child is too many.

It's crystal clear what's happening.

Edited

Yes they are trying to justify it. They justify everything by saying "but Hamas!!" No one's falling for it now though.

There are many videos of nethanuhu claiming that when they arrived in palestine it was a barren waste land. Again this is probably the biggest lie I have seen. It was a thriving community.

https://www.businessinsider.com/photos-palestine-life-historical-1948-1948-2023-10?amp

Part of the narrative to dehumanise Palestinians, obviously, and to feed the lie "a land without a people for a people without a land", as if no Palestinians were already present there for thousands of years already.

Please have a look at these.

Camera Palaestina is a critical exploration of Jerusalemite chronicler Wasif Jawhariyyeh (1904–1972) and his seven photography albums entitled The Illustrated History of Palestine. Jawhariyyeh’s nine hundred images narrate the rich cultural and political milieu of Ottoman and Mandate Palestine. Nassar, Sheehi, and Tamari locate this archive at the juncture between the history of photography in the Arab world and the social history of Palestine. Shedding new light on this foundational period, the authors explore not just major historical events and the development of an urban bourgeois lifestyle but a social field of vision of Palestinian life as exemplified in the Jerusalem community. Tracking the interplay between photographic images, the authors offer evidence of the unbroken field of material, historical, and collective experience from the living past to the living present of Arab Palestine.

The World Health Organization (WHO) says it has lost communication with its contacts at Gaza's main hospital, Al-Shifa.

The WHO says it has "grave concerns" for the safety of staff and patients there who have become trapped by fighting around the hospital.

The BBC has been sent pictures of at least 20 newborn babies being kept in a surgical theatre at the site.

This week, the World Health Organization (WHO) warned that half of Gaza's 36 hospitals were not functioning.

''Al Jazeera reports that the Hamas-run health authority in Gaza has said it is unable to issue updated casualty statistics in the Gaza Strip “due to the targeting of hospitals.”

So we won't even get any crappy Hamas figures for the fatalities in future

I’m sick of posters saying this all started with Hamas attacks.
Whilst also claiming to know so much about the history of Palestine.
If they know so much why are they ignoring the truth.
Why are they ignoring what’s been happening to Palestinians at the hands of Israel and the settlers for so long.
This did not start in October 2023.

Aljazeera are also reporting that the IDF are forcibly evicting patients from hospitals onto the street with nowhere to go. Not confirmed by other news agencies yet.

It's remarkable that Hamas undertook military training exercises in full view of Israeli surveillance and Israel had no idea what they were planning but now they claim to know the location of every Hamas military base. With such detailed intelligence one might have expected the number of Hamas casualties vs civilian casualties to be somewhat different.

A longer piece about the fate of the prem babies - a third one has died Sad

Ruth Michaelson reports for the Guardian:

I just spoke to Dr Marwan Abu Sada, head of surgery at the besieged Dar al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City. Since Friday, Israeli forces including tanks and snipers have surrounded the hospital. Yesterday, there were multiple accounts of people being shot as they attempted to flee, and there are dead and injured people still laying on the ground at the hospital entrance.

In the neonatal intensive care unit, three out of 39 premature babies have died and the lives of the remaining infants are hanging in the balance.

“We lost the life of one baby today, yesterday we lost two, and I am afraid that all of the babies will lose their lives,” said Abu Sada.

After the bombardment of an extension to the intensive care unit, Abu Sada said that staff at al-Shifa moved the entire neonatal unit to an operating theatre previously used for cardiac patients and placed the babies in beds there, ten to a bed, in an attempt to make them comfortable despite the lack of temperature controlled required to keep them alive.

“The neonatal unit is not connected to the main surgical units within the al-Shifa medical complex, it was dangerous to go from the main building to get the babies,” he said. “We called the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Israelis just to ensure the passage of the babies from the neonatal ICU to the surgical area.”

“Where could we evacuate over 30 babies to?” he said, responding to demands from Israeli officials to evacuate patients from al-Shifa, which contains the largest neonatal unit in Gaza. Dar al-Shifa is Gaza’s largest and most well resourced hospital, and the cornerstone of its healthcare system.

“We no longer have any oxygen supplies, or even fuel to run a generator,” he said, referring to both the neonatal unit and to resources across the entire hospital.13m ago

@Efacsen Those poor babies. The international community must intervene.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 12/11/2023 13:11

Interesting - I've literally just watched a BBC report from a Palestinian hospital where it's said treatment's compromised because "the power has gone out", and in the background of the shot were two working TVs

Hmmm ...

stormy4319trevor · 12/11/2023 13:23

@Efacsen Worth another email to my MP, though by the time he sees it the babies will be dead. Sunak and others need to demand that no more children die.
