Israel has bombed the gates of the Al Shalha hospital.

Everyone knows displaced families are sheltering in and near hospitals.

The hospital was a front for weapons storage and organising the terrorists.

Be wary on here of those who spout Hamas propaganda. Hamas’s days are most certainly numbered, peace will win for the Palestinian people and Isreal.

hulahello · 11/11/2023 10:01

@Onand Proof? Israeli govt have the perfect "excuse" for any hospital or other bombing they want. I've watched countless testimonies of medics, drs, credible humanitarian organisations that say in years of working at these hospitals they have not seen a shred of evidence that Hamas was present in them.

FOJN · 11/11/2023 10:01

ColonelDax · 11/11/2023 09:53

By 'available evidence' do you mean 'what Hamas say'? 🙄

I have also addressed this in a previous post.

SomeCatFromJapan · 11/11/2023 10:04

Israel were attacked by a terrorist organisation. Israel are a democratic state. They appear to be retaliating (your word) against a civilian population ('collective punishment').

Israel's current objective is to destroy Hamas infrastructure in the north of Gaza. Unfortunately it has been sited in heavily populated civilian areas.
Now that Israeli tanks are in Gaza they are moving more civilians out along corridors but as I menioned they're getting a lot of critisism for that too. However, better that than those poor people risk getting killed.

I've yet to hear another suggestion about how they deal with Hamas.

Join the club, not one single constructive suggestion as to what Israel should actually do, rather than just 'have a ceasefire' which is code for let Hamas keep doing what they do.

PurpleCrocs3 · 11/11/2023 10:16

@ColonelDax You act like Israel are the good guys. They're not. They are an occupying power who have committed scores of human rights abuses against the Palestinian people over the past 75 years.

People are finally opening their eyes to what the Israeli government is really like. You can deny and deflect all you want but history will not be kind to anyone still supporting Israel's actions.

SomeCatFromJapan · 11/11/2023 10:18

They are an occupying power who have committed scores of human rights abuses against the Palestinian people over the past 75 years.

This viewpoint is what is going to keep the conflict going on and on, with largely Palestinians suffering. Israel exists. People need to make peace with that fact.

Israel occupys Gaza and the West Bank are you suggesting that Palestinians just have to accept this if they want peace? The world just needs to accept israels illegal occupation because Israel exist and can't help themselves?

Roste · 11/11/2023 10:21

Not one criticism of Israeli genocide by many here just shrugs of the shoulders and the usual lame let’s blame Hamas. The same Hamas that the Israeli government has openly supported in the past. Anyway off to join a march ,least I can do amidst the madness.

Proof? And not the IDF "but Hamaaas!" line. They're been proven as liars, on multiple occasions.
It doesn't justify bombing a hospital in the very unlikely event terrorists were in it. Its a barbaric act of terror in itself, one in a long line for the IDF.

Perfect28 · 11/11/2023 10:24

@ChickHenLittle if an ISIS cell were to set up camp under great Ormand st I doubt you would be using the same arguments.

Perfect28 · 11/11/2023 10:25

@ChickHenLittle sorry wrong tag 😬

Plenty of us do, I personally haven't posted as much as defence of the Israeli government's actions physically turn my stomach at this point. I see the "Hamas were hiding in [insert place attacked here]" is also still fully believed and accepted by some which truly blows my mind.

EasterIssland · 11/11/2023 10:45

A video about what does international law say about attacking hospitals.

https://twitter.com/ICRC/status/1720092458938220674

theyve to proof it is being used as a military operation (this is yet to be proof) and also they’ve to think whether the benefits outweighs the risks. In my opinion taking into account that only they’ve managed to kill 60 Hamas members , the hospital should be respected specially when there is still no proof about hamas being there by anyone but idf/israel government.

EasterIssland · 11/11/2023 10:46

And more attacks on hospitals

Israel has bombed the front of a hospital
EasterIssland · 11/11/2023 10:49

Minister of Health: 39 babies who were in intensive care at Al-Shifa hospital died due to lack of oxygen.

Lonelycrab · 11/11/2023 11:07

😔

Diabolical.

@parkingt111

Still waiting for your thoughts on if Hamas should be considered immune to any response because they choose to operate from protected places?

Firstly I don't know why you expect an immediate response, it's the weekend and I was pre occupied
And secondly in regards to your question I believe there are many other alternatives to taking out Hamas than attacking a hospital.
And at no point can this be justified

EasterIssland · 11/11/2023 11:08

If I understand right hamas is near the hospital. Not in the hospital so any attack against the hospital is not approved by international war law

What!!! How is this happening
How can anyone justify this

If the only way to wipe out Hamas is to bomb hospitals and cause widespread civilian casualties, including many babies, children and women - does that make it ok to do it?

I would argue no. The human price is too high to pay and not only that, you are creating perfect propaganda for 'Hamas Mark II' (whatever it will be named).

Parkingt111 · 11/11/2023 11:12

Indiscriminate bombing of urban areas is a war crime
Israel should be prosecuted for this

SomeCatFromJapan · 11/11/2023 11:15

I didn't say that. The situations in the West Bank and Gaza need to be resolved to everyone's benefit, not just that of Israel. I'm saying it's not likely to be resolved however if there are groups within these areas who want the entire Israel not to exist.

Ok cool what are the alternatives? I'm sure the IDF would love to hear. I bet they'll be kicking themselves that they hadn't thought of them first.

Again that's literally not happening though.
