Assuming, for a moment, that this were true (there is no reason to believe it is - plenty of, specifically, international former doctors who worked at Shifa have come out to call BS, and there have been equally as plenty, if not more, instances of the IDF having been shown to just blatantly be lying ...). But, just for a moment: assume this is true!

It is STILL morally unjustifiable to deliberately target doctors, nurses, patients, and internally displaced refugees!

The only, really, the ONLY possible justification for what Israel is doing these days is "well, I just genuinely believe Israeli lives are worth more".

Oh the IDF has snipers, you'd have thought that when they were gathering long range photos of the "Hamas boardroom" at Al Shifa they'd have waited for a meeting and used the snipers then.

I suppose that would have denied them the opportunity to bomb. Some might think the photos were fake but this is the most moral army in the world, they wouldn't lie would they?

Did anyone see the footage of Israeli forces shooting at civilians and medical staff at besieged Annasir hospital? I saw mobile phone footage on the news today. Barbaric.

This was today. When I think of all the talk about the bombing of the hospital a few weeks ago and who did it. Now Israel seems to only be bombing hospitals, ambulances, schools and other civilian targets. It's absolutely deranged.

@HeidiInTheBigCity has hit the nail on the head. Those who are still bleating "but Hamas" and "release the hostages" after a solid month of illegal and indefensible slaughter in Gaza are indeed those who believe Palestinian lives are fundamentally worth less than Jewish lives.

The question is why everyone else - the world's leaders and governments - are going along with the genocide. The answer, as usual, is power and money. The children being fed into a meat grinder in full view of the world's media don't matter enough to upset the applecart.

It clearly works. I'd say 70% of the public don't even question it. And yet no thread is started on hundreds of people being murdered in Darfur.

In fairness: yes, the hostages MUST be released!

As must Palestinian prisoners, especially those under so-called administrative detention, because that is also just "hostage taking - but we have a state apparatus to do it with!"

This IS the intellectually, morally correct and also just ... humane ... stance to take!
