How do prevent the rise of anti Semitic feeling in the UK?

Will the continuous marches in London lead to an environment where anti semitism becomes acceptable? There has been a massive rise in hate crime against Jews and surely in the UK we have a duty to prevent any platform which may lead to unjustified hatred of a group in the UK?

I feel we should feel pride we have a diverse society with a while range of ethnicities and religions but we should always act to encourage social cohesion by not allowing events that could contain messages of hate.

Although the support of the Palestinian people is absolutely reasonable in terms of free speech in a democratic society and it is reasonable to comment on the actions of the Israeli state at times the marches in a lot of major British cities have the danger of including terrorist apologists.

Jewish ambassador says London feels less safe than Israel

Tzipi Hotovely told the Daily Telegraph that the Jewish community felt fear due to 'jihad ideology' witnessed during pro-Palestinian protests in the capital city over the past month.

It is an interesting response from the fuckwit too. I thought he was supposed to be a poet or something. Obviously that is about as fake arse as the rest of his sorry like vile narrative

Our day will come, but we must not be complacent.
Our day will come, but we must normalise massacres as the status quo.”

I know this has already been mentioned, but I can’t get past it. Mohammed El-Kurd was speaking to an audience of thousands. How does this fit with marching for peace and calling for a ceasefire? Horrendous.

etmoiandme · 14/01/2024 00:44

He's now sniggering that he's been reported to the police for hate speech, like some 14 year old kid bragging to his mates that he got caught with a spliff.

Nothing fits any more! Ceasefire and peace but also intifada! Stand up to the oppressor but actually those enslavers are OK!

noblegiraffe · 14/01/2024 00:49

Don't forget Queers for Palestine in the list of things that don't make sense.

etmoiandme · 14/01/2024 00:54

As long as I live I will never get my head round Queers for Palestine. Or the call to "Shut Down Colonial Feminism". By feminists.

It unfortunately fits in very well

Many of protesters, terrorists groups and some iffy regimes wish to make violence, mistreatment and verbal abuse against Israelis and Jewish people in general normalised. Something non Jews challenge or tries to stop anymore.

This is something that has been getting more apparent in the last few months. Look they how much worse things have gotten and look at how silent on the matter many people have been. This plan to normalise violence is starting to work already

Unfortunately this is literally a strategy out of the nazi handbook. So not only is that rather disturbing but you would have thought most people would realise this.

Like I said he is an Andrew Tate

Isn't the standard argument back if you ask what the fuck they are on about "Don't pink wash". I think they just say that because most realise they really are sprouting rubbish and others have not got a clue about human rights in Gaza

The feminist one is really odd because normally feminist groups are pretty keyed up on stuff or do some research if they are lacking knowledge. So what exactly do these women think they are doing. The stop the deaths of innocent people stuff is obvious fine. However the rape denial or the support of Hamas who really don't have a good reputation in the women's right or gay rights area makes you wonder.

noblegiraffe · 14/01/2024 01:19

Oh, I've just realised that objecting to Yemeni sex slaves would be colonial feminism. It's all coming together now.

If I stop to think about it that is how it feels isn't it. However it makes me feel the hostages and those that have died are being treated. However little the safety of the civilians of Israel matter to these people.

That is why I am not stopping to think about it and avoiding spending to much energy on it

Else we give them what they want and the main reason they have done this. The impact it has on us all is the main objective here. They don't give a rats arse about people in Gaza. We have seen that over and over again. Team iffy leaders just want to cause more pain to the Jews and Israel. So the best thing we can do is not show them our suffering.

More peaceful signs from the peace march that is all about peace:

Oofft, that's very like PSF/PIRAs slogan "Tioficaidh Ar Là" = "Our day will come!".

In other words, "we'll have our victory over you!".

To me, it's clear cut. And, of course, he was there with PSF leader Mary-Lou McDonald.

Definitely shouldn't be allowed into the UK.

stomachameleon · 14/01/2024 10:56

@25milesfromhome I can't get passed it either. I really hope something is done about him. If he didn't leave straight away why was he not arrested?
And how much longer are we going to have to pretend these marches are about 'peace'. It's rubbish.

DownNative · 14/01/2024 11:17

How about this?

Durham College had to take action.

I'm glad that the college is taking action, but where are the police in this? Surely that breaks the UK law?

Piers Corbyn was also at the march twatting on about the New World Order.

It's from November and I don't know if peelers were involved. Will have to look later.

But it is a breach of 2006 Terrorism Act, yes.

Love the tantrums from certain people happening about this

And as for this person, yes her return and not Jeremy Corbyn's does tell you what you need too know

Probably the most foolish statement on this I have read so far
