How do prevent the rise of anti Semitic feeling in the UK?

Will the continuous marches in London lead to an environment where anti semitism becomes acceptable? There has been a massive rise in hate crime against Jews and surely in the UK we have a duty to prevent any platform which may lead to unjustified hatred of a group in the UK?

I feel we should feel pride we have a diverse society with a while range of ethnicities and religions but we should always act to encourage social cohesion by not allowing events that could contain messages of hate.

Although the support of the Palestinian people is absolutely reasonable in terms of free speech in a democratic society and it is reasonable to comment on the actions of the Israeli state at times the marches in a lot of major British cities have the danger of including terrorist apologists.

Jewish ambassador says London feels less safe than Israel

Tzipi Hotovely told the Daily Telegraph that the Jewish community felt fear due to 'jihad ideology' witnessed during pro-Palestinian protests in the capital city over the past month.

Rivers of Blood speech - Remastered - London 2024

Swapping out the world Jews for Zionist doesn't mean this man should not be arrested. In fact it makes this vile speech worse because he is deliberately trying to get away with not owning his racist Jew hate.

The trouble is if we leave all organisations or groups because of their political stands or iffy Jew hate then they get worse. Without our votes and the votes of others that don't support the iffyness these organisations fall even further into a deep pit of conspiracy theories or plan old prejudice. So we are damned if we stay and damned if we leave.

@DownNative I assume @Trulywonderful last post will be reported to anti terrorism?

This is amusing:

@Trulywonderful I might just be a bit more picky about my Union and say why!

Can't see he won't be reported because apart from anything else he said

“We must normalize massacres as the status quo”

Then there is all the getting/pushing/whatever his exact words were, Zionists/Jews out of organisation etc. We have seen a fair amount of this in resent weeks. However when Jewish point out this is happening we are told no it isn't you are wrong. Well apparently we are not wrong this is part of an organised plan and protesters are being asked to help do this

Lots of these examples about. However idiots keep telling us that these groups talk fir the Jewish community or they are an example of good Jews

Hard to even find it annoying anymore because even most non Jewish people in the UK know about this fake arse group. Who they think still believes they represent the Jewish people in the UK I don't know.

"Daniel "Globalise The Intifada" Kebede, General Secretary of the National Education Union, at the head of today's London hate march.

To his left, Ismail Patel of "Friends of al-Aqsa", a fanatical Israel hater and a big fan of Hamas."

Nothing to worry about for those of us that work in schools then

And slap bang in the middle is Provisional Sinn Féin President Mary-Lou McDonald. You know, the party that's still controlled by the Provisional Army Council.

Not surprised to see her there. 🤦‍♂️

Especially given the Shinner Provos history with Palestinian terrorist groups.

SomeCatFromJapan · 13/01/2024 21:30

@Trulywonderful I fell for JVPs bullshit years ago.

Who is the clown doing the Rivers of Blood speech? I hope and presume he's been reported to the Met by now.

noblegiraffe · 13/01/2024 21:40

Are JVP just what happened to JVL once Corbyn got kicked out of Labour?

stomachameleon · 13/01/2024 21:48

@lettherebepeaceintheworld started another thread on the marches

etmoiandme · 13/01/2024 21:50

I would imagine JVL modelled themselves on JVP. Jewdas is another group but I don't know anything about them, except they're probably even closer to Corbyn's inner circle than JVL

DownNative · 13/01/2024 21:52

If you really want to know what Provisional Sinn Féin's actual attitude is, the attached image was posted on twitter by some of their elected members soon after Hamas attacked Israel, IIRC.

"Speaking at a pro-Palestinian rally in London, poet and activist Mohammed El-Kurd unleashed a furious tirade where he equated Zionism with all the world's ills, calling to purge all institutions in Western democracies of this alleged monstrosity. "

SomeCatFromJapan · 13/01/2024 22:44

I just googled him.

"In 2021, Mohammed and Muna were named on TIME 100 most influential people in the world"

Well that's not at all insane and depressing. Plus who signed off on his visa?!

Trulywonderful · 13/01/2024 22:53

He is a nasty bit of work and unfortunately their are a lot of people out there that love this kind of thing. There is money to be made in spreading hate and people like him are capitalising on it. This is something that happens with other forms of hate where vile idiots see an opportunity. Look at Andrew Tate for instance.

El-Kurd has accused Israelis of eating the organs of Palestinians and of having a particular lust for Palestinian blood. He has compared Israelis to Nazis, negated the historic Jewish connection to the Land of Israel, and vilified Zionism and Zionists.

stomachameleon · 13/01/2024 23:06

SomeCatFromJapan · 13/01/2024 23:33

He seems to just have been invited to speak as his wiki doesn't mention living i the UK. He studied in the US.

SomeCatFromJapan · 14/01/2024 00:09

Apparently you can come as a guest to the UK, make a speech advocating terrorism and then swear at an MP.
What a charmer he is.

"We must normalise arresting and deporting people like this."

I am disappointed in myself that I didn't come up with this response to the fuckwits speech
