Conflict in the Middle East

To think Hamas have given Israel the excuse they were looking for?

1000 replies

MistyMooPup · 10/10/2023 12:14

Not all of Israel. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said he will obliterate Hamas. But undoubtedly hundred if not thousands of civilians will now be killed.

I’m not sure what Hamas thought the end game if this would be? What have the Iranians convinced them of? This was a sophisticated operation, outside help was given for definite.

I’m not sure it’s possible to rationalise with dehumanised terrorists, neither am I sure what the end game will be, but I just can’t understand what Hamas expected if not a total war/strikes from Israel in retaliation.

CNN now confirmed that the report of beheaded babies is inaccurate & cannot be confirmed.

Those clinging to this horror rumour should be so ashamed of themselves. Even Biden. The White House have had to roll back on his lies.

Now the real question why did some of you want/need this to be true ?

Is it Because it allows you to pretend the war crimes Israel is committing currently on Palestinian babies is justified.

Shame on you. Shame on all of you.

It's Israel killing babies right now.

The shame is all on Hamas who committed atrocities.

Not peaceful people who are horrified.

Your post is very off

beachcitygirl · 12/10/2023 15:01

Shame is on

Hamas
Israel government
People defending war crimes
People spreading misinformation

In that order.

The shame is shared by both sides who have been killing children and babies for decades. Peaceful people on both sides wish the violence and killing would end.

NotSuchASmugMarried · 12/10/2023 15:03

Israel haven't ever been responsible for the killing of children. Not really. The blame lies with Hamas, who hide out in schools and hospitals and use the children as human shields.

Can't believe people still falling for this propaganda. Do you seriously think the Israeli military wake up one morning and say "lets go kill some palestinian children - that'll win us the war".

Propaganda, propaganda, propaganda - and all Palestine sympathisers are falling for it.

ForFriends · 12/10/2023 15:10

Exactly @NotSuchASmugMarried. And Hamas and their supporters are imploding because now Hamas has massacred and brutalised children in a frenzy and shown their perverted depravity off on social media for all to see, it's a lot harder to garner sympathy as a cuddly kind of child loving terrorist who deserves funding from the West. Many countries have now stopped payments. It couldn't have happened to nicer terrorists 🙄.

What do you think is happening in Gaza right now?

Palestinian Israeli defence minister called Palestinians "human animals

50% of all palestinians are CHILDREN & BABIES

No water
No electricity
No food
No escape route
Rained on by bombs
Water sources filled with cement.

NotSuchASmugMarried · 12/10/2023 15:15

"Palestinian Israeli defence minister"

Who?

No water
No electricity
No food
No escape route

Blame Hamas, they should have planned for that before they carried out their atrocities.

Water sources filled with cement.

Oh open your eyes and stop believing propaganda. Those weren't water sources, they were secret tunnels Hamas were smuggling guns in.

beachcitygirl · 12/10/2023 15:16

Look at these "human animals"

Look at their little faces
Before you give out your propaganda shit about Israel "not really" killing babies.

There's not a cause on earth worthy of any of this from Hamas or Israel.

Does this make the babies killed in the massacre less dead then?

Nah but it does mean you and the IDF & the US were talking utter shite.

I urged you to wait for confirmation. I urged you not to spread unconfirmed reports.

That type of talk is dangerous life & death level st a time like this.

Unless of course you're aim is war & the genocide of Palestinian people. Then I see why you would spread such evil lies.

What Hamas did was evil enough.

SomeCatFromJapan · 12/10/2023 15:24

@beachcitygirl no, all you did was consistently attempt to deny and minimise the massacre of civilians. You are (rightfully) horrified at the deaths of Palestinian babies and utterly without care for those of Israeli babies, to the point of doing your utmost to deny reported facts.
You are now resorting to hurling insults at anyone who disagrees with you.

Can you quote tweet any tweet of mine that says that...

Of course you can't because it's just more lies.

The IDF have been killing kids for years.

But the babies are still dead aren’t they? And women and elderly people killed, raped and God knows what else. They way they were killed doesn’t make it better or absolve Hamas from any wrong doing.

I think you need to re-read all of your posts and then acknowledge how biased you are.

Isn’t it this exact logic that has been used to explain why the Israeli government is less evil than Hamas? Because the method of killing is less barbaric?

beachcitygirl · 12/10/2023 15:34

Please do quote tweet any of my posts which show

A) bias towards Hamas
B) lack of concern for Israeli civilians
C) anything other than condemnation of war crime or plea for accurate journalism.

Or any of this bias of which you accuse me.

There isn't a cause on earth worthy of killing kids for.

I'll wait.....

beachcitygirl · 12/10/2023 15:37

@Bex5490 spot on

It has remained my position:

•That no cause on earth is worth massacre of kids
•War crimes are beyond the pale
•Unconfirmed journalism (& spreading of same) has real life consequences
•Palestinian babies & Israeli babies are equal and precious
• safety for innocents is paramount

saffronsoup · 12/10/2023 15:38

Honestly anyone saying all the Palestinian kids killed is Hamas's fault is no different to me from someone saying all the Israeli kids killed is Israel's fault.

Both have about the same level of blindness and bias. Both have swallowed the propaganda their side pumps out.

No, I don’t believe that it is. If you attack your enemy and women and children are killed in the crossfire that is dreadful (and let’s not forget that the US and UK have done this a lot). But it’s not the same as going into someone’s home and seeking out babies, children, women and the elderly, well any civilians for that matter) to kill them. That is terrorism, no question and that’s why people are so horrified. I am not saying that to defend Israel’s retaliation or previous actions.

No your posts come across as it’s OK if the babies were killed in some other way because Palestinian babies have/are being killed. It’s dreadful for any babies to be killed.

Absolutely no one should feel anything remotely like shame for reacting to major news reports

There were atrocities committed by Hamas and people rightly expressed their horror

Anyone trying to shame posters should take a moment and reflect on posts

But cutting off water, electric, humanitarian aid from the UN and an escape route from the bombs for children and babies isn’t just killed in the crossfire is it?

I was completely and utterly horrified - and then I was prepared to be horrified by the retaliation. Which I am. So fucked up that anyone can see pictures of any of these scenes and defend the behaviour of either side.

What your forgetting is that people on this thread and others (and in real life) have been justifying Hamas’ actions on Israel’s previous behaviour. What you’re talking about is what they are doing now.

As for what they should do now, I don’t actually know. Do they do nothing and risk more terrorist attacks and 1000’s more of their children being killed or do they take action and put 1000’s of lives of Palestinian children at risk. It’s not exactly a great choice is it. What would you do?
