Not all of Israel. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said he will obliterate Hamas. But undoubtedly hundred if not thousands of civilians will now be killed.

I’m not sure what Hamas thought the end game if this would be? What have the Iranians convinced them of? This was a sophisticated operation, outside help was given for definite.

I’m not sure it’s possible to rationalise with dehumanised terrorists, neither am I sure what the end game will be, but I just can’t understand what Hamas expected if not a total war/strikes from Israel in retaliation.

The shame is all on Hamas who committed atrocities.

The shame is shared by both sides who have been killing children and babies for decades. Peaceful people on both sides wish the violence and killing would end.

Israel haven't ever been responsible for the killing of children. Not really. The blame lies with Hamas, who hide out in schools and hospitals and use the children as human shields.

But the babies are still dead aren’t they? And women and elderly people killed, raped and God knows what else. They way they were killed doesn’t make it better or absolve Hamas from any wrong doing.

I think you need to re-read all of your posts and then acknowledge how biased you are.

•War crimes are beyond the pale
•Unconfirmed journalism (& spreading of same) has real life consequences
•Palestinian babies & Israeli babies are equal and precious

No, I don’t believe that it is. If you attack your enemy and women and children are killed in the crossfire that is dreadful (and let’s not forget that the US and UK have done this a lot). But it’s not the same as going into someone’s home and seeking out babies, children, women and the elderly, well any civilians for that matter) to kill them. That is terrorism, no question and that’s why people are so horrified. I am not saying that to defend Israel’s retaliation or previous actions.

No your posts come across as it’s OK if the babies were killed in some other way because Palestinian babies have/are being killed. It’s dreadful for any babies to be killed.

I was completely and utterly horrified - and then I was prepared to be horrified by the retaliation. Which I am. So fucked up that anyone can see pictures of any of these scenes and defend the behaviour of either side.

What your forgetting is that people on this thread and others (and in real life) have been justifying Hamas’ actions on Israel’s previous behaviour. What you’re talking about is what they are doing now.

As for what they should do now, I don’t actually know. Do they do nothing and risk more terrorist attacks and 1000’s more of their children being killed or do they take action and put 1000’s of lives of Palestinian children at risk. It’s not exactly a great choice is it. What would you do?
