Hi all,

Brand new thread!

I started it so I must get a BFP before the end - them's the rules.

OP posts:
InchyInchy · 10/06/2010 19:26

Hello all,

Thanks for making a gal feel so welcome.

Right i am off to bed, bloody knackered tonight. I've picked up a bladder and kidney infection thanks to being run down from the MC. Off to eat the chocolate the hubby has brought home and promise to be more upbeat tomorrow.

Apologies - usually i am not such a miserable sod. Honest

WestYorkshireGirl · 10/06/2010 20:37

Hi All . Just dropping to say hi . Good to see lots of SWI action and checking of monitors - you techies!
Finger's crossed for some more BFPs soon!

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 10/06/2010 20:50

hi everyone ~waves~
I'm exhausted from work, so I just wanted to say hi.
Nothing really happened in my life these last few days apart from a lot of work... and more to come. bah.

CD7, time to start peeing on some ov sticks.

magichen · 10/06/2010 21:12

hi everyone, wtf is it with this wtf cycle?! I've been cramping constantly for the past 3 days and still no af, just want to get this first cycle over and done with. Dont think my wee body knows what its doing!

Well I went back to work today for the first time since mc, seriously wishing i hadnt. Definetely time to look for another job, too stressful and just not worth it, life is too short.

Welcome to the new girls, hope your settling in, you've certainly came to the right place, these girls give loads of support. Just popping on here everyday gives me some hope, hope you all feel the same. Well we all know what each other is going through.

Here is hoping we will all have a bfp soon and will be grads together!

digitalgirl · 10/06/2010 21:35

Evening all. Hello to all the newbies, so sorry to hear of so much loss. But very positive to see you all looking forward and getting back to ttc.

Well, after being in limbo for the longest week I am back to cd1! Feeling quite ok about it actually. Think I started the grieving process (for lack of bfp) over the weekend so I'm now at acceptance.

RTD is fucking painful and really heavy. But I have a 16 day luteal phase which is the longest they can get and really something to be proud of .

Started acupuncture today which was wonderful. Nothing like being made to lie down in a quiet room with a hot lamp on your belly. Was a nice break from work. Felt very relaxed and floaty afterwards and was especially creative at work.

Good luck to those in swi mode and those on the 2ww

I have a week off from all thoughts of ttc and I'm going to try and spend the time enjoying what I've got.

LadyBee · 10/06/2010 22:06

Ah, I'm sorry Digitalgirl, I was really really hoping that you'd get a BFP after all this waiting. I hope RTD doesn't continue being too awful for long.
The acupuncture sounds fantastic, especially the increased creativity afterwards. You sound very Z E N digi - long may it continue.

Cheepz · 10/06/2010 23:21

i was sure i posted at work earlier, but clearly i didn't as this thread was not on my 'im on' list when i got home from work. this is indicative of my total loss of concentration when at work as a result of them forcing me to do my notice - today i did al the lagal paperwork for my move and registered ds at new nursery!!

spangly new thread lovely - and although always sad for people to join us and have to go through it all, selfishly grateful for such good and spirited company of such fine females.

hopefully especially noted your post about staying home with DS - its hard to make these choices - and i am so with you on the newborn thing - and i want to do it again why? but more power to you

digi that sucks for you lady. kisses and hugs and hope the cramps clear up soon

viv hope you are having a fabtastic time

jolls i am vicariously ttc through you this cycle - while i wait another - got a high on cbfm today - expecting peak tomorrow cd 15 so it will be all i can do not to leap on DH - fortunately he is south african and the world cup starts so he probably will be back late and in poor swi condition tomorrow which will make it easy to resist!

we are not going to exchange this week as still doing paperwork but hopefully next week and move in early july, then new job starts early august - then i will be crashing back on to the ttc list with a vengeance

right - day off tomorrow - as in i am not bothering to go in but have a ton of stuff to do so ds to nursery, dh to work and i get to clear all the chores

did i tell you all we have had no hot water for a week because of burst water pipe - a month before we leave - in 5 weeks time it would have been someone elses problem - need to sort that out to. I am super swirling

btw - wheres mrspretty ....

Thanks for the support about my decision guys! I've been so wobbly about it. I'm not sure why, probably because my CM has been such an important part of DS's life since he was 8 months old, so it seems like the end of an era.

Speaking of whom, he is singing 'row row row row row row' again (hey, the lyrics to row your boat are hard when you're 20 months old!) in his cot so I should probably admit that he's awake and go and get him.

hopefully good on you and your tough decision - am sure it's the right one for you.

stinkycheepzy have been thinking the same thing about MrsVacantGazeboPretty... hope all is ok. We should also exchange contracts in the next 2 weeks or so, but have 6 weeks til completion as I need to find rental!! EEEEK!

welcome all newbies - think I've added you all on correctly, but be brave and amend yourself if not.

Must dash as need to get swimming stuff ready (though looking outside we might just stand in a puddle for same effect...).

batteryhen · 11/06/2010 09:20

Morning all,

Just a quick post from work - cheepz and jolls - I was thinking where pretty is too - she has not been around for a while.....I hope she is ok

DPs plane was late last night - so what with that and other 'nocturnal atcivites' I have had about 4 hours sleep - not good when I have a 12 hr shift today

Will pop back later and name check xx

VivClicquot · 11/06/2010 09:41

Morning lovelies x

cheepz - I've not gone yet. Just one more day of work to get through and I can finally embark on holiday mode.

Am feeling slightly sick at just how much I have to do between now and 5pm, but at the same time, I kinda think, "You know what? The world's not gonna end if I don't write this press release. And quite frankly, if I'm THAT important to the business, they should fucking pay me more."

Still, am feeling fairly positive about the SWI side of things. Day 11. Still low on the CBFM but I've got acupuncture this morning and am v much hoping the Portugese air will do us some good...

Hi to all the new gals - like everyone else, I'm sorry you're here but hopefully we can give you some support x

battery - loving your work, missus Am going to keep everything crossed that this anglo-germanic egg dash works out xx

Anyway - got to dash. Press releases to write and journalists to call.

Lots of love to all,
Viv xxxx

LadyBee · 11/06/2010 11:04

Viv, I love that part of gearing up for time off: the 'Jettisoning' stage where you just start looking at the list of things still to do and metaphorically start chucking things over the side .
My two favourite work-survival phrases: it'll be fiiiiiine. And 'It's not heart-surgery' (I work in publishing...it's lovely, pressured, busy, chaotic - but not life-or-death) and definitely not well-paid enough to worry too much .

PrettyVacant1 · 11/06/2010 11:20

Morning H'everybodyPeeps.

I didn't realise how long I'd not shown my Mug for, soz bout that.
Bless you Cheepz , Jolls 'n' BatteryChook

No, I've not been carted off by men in white coats nor been locked up for heinous unspeakable acts involving cactus brushes.
That particular way of feeling was them pesky hormones making me loop de loop.

Rusty arrived 2 days early and then I got a laaavverly bout of thrush!
Which was nice
Slightly miffed about R2D2 as we I'm still playing OV roulette just to add to my menkulness.

Anywho's...

Nice new fred, lots of BFPs' on this one please.

Speaking of which Glinda, Yay! LadyBee

Hello to Magichen love the name btw , Fliesby, Inchy and Saffronbun
YRMOTB am now singing "What babe?, the babe with the power..."
We are friends on FB btw .
(Really need to do a role call on that, I did have a list of Weal Peeps but I lost track.)
So sorry you've found yourselves here but
this is a good place to be and if Carlsberg made threads it would possibly be the best thread in the world.

Hope everyone else is well and having a fab Friday.
Viv have a lovely hol and good luck with getting some SWI in.
BatteryHen you make me laugh
Hope you can keep your eyes open for the rest of your shift.

I'm meeting an old friend today, we don't see enough of each other much anymore.
She's just had a little girl and I feel bad I've not seen her yet.
I should be fine, it was her first one 2yrs ago that hit me more than I realised.
Since we were 15 out of the two of us it was always assumed that I'd be the one to get married and have a baby first, she always said she'd wait until her early thirties.
She did.
Choice is a luxury, often taken for granted.

Anywhos (again) My app is on Tue to see a real life Genetics Counselor and find out exactly how bad the bad news is.

saffronbun · 11/06/2010 11:52

I've added the bit in that I missed below. And now I shall go and sacrifice some goats in the hope of BFPs for all who are trying this month!

Waving hello to everyone

My GP has just called me to let me now my bhcg levels are down from 9000+ to 30 so it looks like it was a full miscarriage.

Saw the acupuncturist yesterday (my 4th session) with each session I feel more relaxed. She is not going to place her magic needles around the abdomen until my first RTD.

So I shall carry on with the diet and taking the herbal remedies to support my hormone levels.

I'm very excited because we've booked our summer holiday so who knows, a relaxing holiday may bring a BFB

Cheepz · 11/06/2010 14:45

Ahhh mrspretty there you are, it seems your mind is no more lost than it was before so thats great news!!

I am just updating the list to represent the extension of my self imposed ban to cycle 3 - as predicited had great big PEAK shouting at me from CBFM this morning - cd15 = peak - at least its predictable - by the time I am ttc I will have stopped using it because its 6 quid a month to tell me what I know! - still explains the 7 cycle downer after first mc where I was convinced I was ovulating on cd11 and 12 and was consistently failing to get meself knocked up!

viv sod it - leave the press release and go have a pedicure in preparation for your vacation

all else 'hola chicas'

Hi everyone and hello to the millions of new people too.

Hopefully I'm joining you for the 2ww. I am 3dpo today and Fertility Friend got all excited. BTW when you posted that your DS's Child Minder had been an important part of his life since 8 months, I really misinterpreted the CM
