Hi all,

Brand new thread!

I started it so I must get a BFP before the end - them's the rules.

OP posts:
Hopefully · 25/07/2010 21:13

Loopy if all goes well with the pregnancy, I am resigned to semi-undressing every couple of hours for feeds. Should add an element of interest to the wedding photos!

Sorry for awful dreams - I get terrible dreams when i'm remotely stressed, and it always takes me ages to snap out of it in the morning.

emptyshell · 25/07/2010 22:44

My husband's bitch sister in law who was upset when we were pregnant as she HAS to do everything first - is pregnant.

I'm contemplating suicide. Don't try to talk me out of it if I do-do. This world is designed for those who are 2+2.4... species exist for those who can produce new members of their species. I'm some kind of genetic abomination who can't fulfil their destiny.

I'm on the 2WW although it hasn't took - the boobometer tells me so, and I've drunk a bottle and a half of wine and I really want a cigarette.

Empty... tried for 3 years to make a baby, made one, had to bleed it down the toilet, betrayed by the NHS, marriage on the rocks and can't take it anymore. I don't care what you think of me - just don't want to vanish with no answer where I went to. I'm actively contemplating sucide - if I die, the NHS with its lack of help killed me and I want that known - their appalling miscarriage and infertility care were the direct reasons I considered taking my life.

Sorry - it's officfially driven me mad I guess. It does that aftter years of trying - get shagging now lest it be you.

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 25/07/2010 23:36

Empty I am so sorry that you feel the way you do, nothing I can say or do is going to make you feel better but I am here to listen if you want to talk. You have heard it all before from us but you need some help and to speak to a professional about your feelings if you are feeling suicidal. The only way things are going to improve is if you seek professional help because you can't do this alone. x

randomimposter · 26/07/2010 07:06

empty am not professionally or emotionally qualified to properly respond to your post. But to echo what Magic8 says, you can't/shouldn't do this alone. Clearly you have a lot of anger/resentment/frustration etc. Whilst all these are understandable, they are not healthy or helpful to TTC which needs to be in a fluffy white cloud happy place.

Your emotions are VERY raw, VERY passionate BUT not conducive to helping you achieve what you want. By all means tell me to feck off, but please get some help.

Said from a place of concern, not judgement.

VivClicquot · 26/07/2010 09:26

empty - I can only echo what the other girls have said. Please please please get some help - I know you don't trust your GP, but please talk to him/her (or another GP in your practice) as soon as you can.

Failing that, why not call the Miscarriage Association who can help provide advice and counselling.

Their telephone number is 01924 200799.

They are trained to help ladies like us, and they know exactly what you're going through. You're not alone, I can promise you.

delilahbelle · 26/07/2010 09:51

empty Please call someone, this situation sucks but with help you will be able to get through it. The other posts above say it much better than I could.

Magic8 congrats on the graduation Hope things continue to go smoothly.

Loopy I think we have all been there with the mad dreams... I had one myself earlier this month, wish it had turned out to be true.

Today I am mainly sure AF is on her way. Boobs at maybe a 2 on the pain scale (down from a swollen and sore 10 last week) I have had the full on PMT weepiness and rage over the weekend (not very good whilst camping, poor DH ) and I am expecting to be back on CD1 probably overnight between Tues/Wed. I wish I didn't know my body so well. Feeling rather depressed and down. We have been TTC for 4 years, the last 2 seriously, and all I have to show for it is two chemical pregnancies. I am also now starting to get hot flushes around the time of AF, which freaks me out as my mum started her menopause v early with the same symptoms. Life really sucks at times.

Cheepz · 26/07/2010 12:15

I'm baaaaaack - on the big girls list so am on CD2 of cycle 1 round 4!!! 3 mc in a row so lets hope that maybe the next time I get pregnant its a sticker. Have limited hopes for this month as DH is away at the critical time but its my last week at work in old job so start the new one next Monday and finally feel like I can have a go... its been quite a wait

empty read your post and I can feel your anger and bitterness and understand it so well. I have had 3 miscarriages in the last year and sometimes feel like its never going to happen for us to have another child,, although I know I am blessed that I have a son already. And I know people can be horribly insensitive and it can all feel so unfair, my SIL has 2 boys and drops them out no problems and looks at me as if its my fault we keep having miscarriages like I am doing something wrong. One of my friends who had a miscarriage but is now pregnant and due 2 weeks after I would have been for my 3rd miscarriage called me crying the other week because they found out its another boy and she wanted a girl and they are only having two - totally insensitive, my colleague at work who is due 2 weeks before my last mc wanted to have me help her interpret her nuchal scan 2 weeks after my mc.

It is also really tough on your relationship because husbands gernerally don't understand what you are going through and in the end find the pressure and the constant emotional trauma hard to deal with.

I really hope your suicide comment is one borne out of frustration and upset and a short term reaction to the issues you have with your SIL and the NHS as there really are always better outcomes than that. As Viv said please call someone who can really help you.

empty I'm so sorry you feel this way.

cheepz you go, girl!

magic8 congrats on the graduation.

waves to everyone else who is hanging around.

CD16, and I'm spotting . That would be a new one. We've been in swi mode for the last few days because I thought I ovd a couple of days ago (judging by temps, cm and other symptoms) but now I'm majorly confused.
I feel so hormonal and emotional, it's like killer AF - I snapped at my boss today, then about 5 minutes later broke down in tears, then another 10 minutes later couldn't stop laughing. Generally, I feel pretty crap. People around me are all falling pregnant and are asking me when I'm going to have another baby - even the ones who KNOW about my mc. It is all so raw, and people just don't think.
My boss split up from her partner but was still TTC with him (without his knowledge....) and kept making a big deal out of it when she got BFNs........ I want to shout at all these people, asking them to think about me, and when is it going to be my turn??
DS's birthday is next sunday and I had been hoping and wishing that I would be sporting another little bump by then. Instead, about 5 of the guests will be displaying theirs, and I need to hide my bump envy..

northerngoldilocks · 26/07/2010 16:24

magic - well done on the graduation - it makes sense really, although I'm still not brave enough - will wait until I've had a scan and then if things are looking good will make the leap!

cheepz good that you're back on the 'big girls' list - I look forward to much symptom spotting from you - If your DH is anything like mine I'm sure he'll be very excited about 'trying again'.

Big wave to everyone else, boo to so many insensitive people out there making inappropriate comments, know they don't think but its sometimes hard just to grin and carry on.

emptyshell · 26/07/2010 17:23

No point calling anyone. The NHS abandoned me when I was no longer "infertile" because I'd miscarried (if it ever happens again I won't even go to the doctor). All the words and counselling in the world won't solve the issue at the source of the misery and I AM hiting the point where I can't go on with it much longer.

I can't sit there and play happy families (all the in-laws talk about anyway is the sister in law who is really self-absorbed and attention-seeking), so they'll be utterly unbearable - she hijacked half of my wedding with her baby plans and everything, and I've cancelled Christmas point blank - I have nothing to celebrate. Marriage is on the rocks - we've spent the last 24 hours screaming at each other... nothing on this earth to carry on for when I'm a defective freak who can't fulfil the basic point of existence to make new members of the species. On perm starvation diet to try to get the weight off so the NHS might not completely forsake me - but that's not happening so I failed at that as well, can no longer go to the gym or go out of the house as everywhere's infested with happy families - being angry at the world is all that's kept me going since the 20th May.

randomimposter · 26/07/2010 18:06

"Failing that, why not call the Miscarriage Association who can help provide advice and counselling.

Their telephone number is 01924 200799." From viv's post.

Empty - call them.

Hopefully · 26/07/2010 18:07

Empty just adding my voice to the others - please at least call the miscarriage association or another non-NHS body, so at least you know you're not dealing with more NHS staff.

Am devoid of symptoms . Probably that's because I'm all of 4 weeks, but I want a symptom, dammit! In a fit of pessimism I have been mentally planning my support network (sister, local friend etc) to look after DS if I miscarry (even thought last MC was fairly early and not very heavy or painful, I found myself absolutely physically exhausted, never mind the emotional crap).

Although am trying to keep more cheerful and am determinedly cracking on with wedding dress planning. And not eating too much - have to fit into a vaguely sensible size at wedding

Hey all

Empty
As others have said you are not alone.
Everyone of us on here has been to hell and back to achieve our goal.
Yeah, there are extremes and I'm not saying I understand where your head is right now but we know how truly shit it can make you feel.
The only person that can help you is you.
Please talk to someone too though, someone that's not emotionally attached and can give you objective advice.
Sorry for playing head doctor but what would you say to someone in your position?
If it was somebody close asking for your advice.
I really hope this thread helps and you take our advice that you do need help.
I (and others) have said that you're doing great losing weight and you will get there.
Take care xx

8's Yey! For movin' on up!
Cheepz you are indeed a big girl!
You've been very patient and very good and I know the BFP fairy has
been watching.

Ooooo battery going on phone post rest in a bit xx

empty really don't know if anything I say will help, but don't want to say nothing.

Please call Samaritans 08457 90 90 90 or see your doctor.

I have just had no three session in reflexology and Reiki and I felt clear pangs in my right side - hope hope hope it's my fallopian tube clearing. And I am on the ten week waiting list for obstetrician, with a note on file to say I'll go for any cancellations that come up.

Moofold · 26/07/2010 19:29

Empty I really can't add to what the others have said - you obviously need to talk to someone about how you are feeling that is qualified to help.

8s hurrah on graduating! Cheepz hurrah for being back on the list - good luck! Ivy keep your chin up pal, totally understand your feelings. Your boss sounds mental!

Hopefully my heart goes out to you, its a rollercoaster. Try to banish those negative thoughts, easier said than done, I know. I still have no morning sickness but boobs a little sore and pretty tired so hang in there. I really empathised with your post but these thoughts will do no good. Even if things were to turn out badly I don't think it would be any less devastating having gone over each bad outcome in our heads. Note to self, take own advice!!

Hope all your other girlies are good x

Loopy I've bought a vogue pattern to base the dress on, and I'm looking forward to a week or two of playing around with mock-ups draping the fabric in different ways. Have just padded out my dress form to match my BFing bust size from last time. It is so busty, it looks hilarious

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 26/07/2010 21:09
