A new thread! This is for anyone who is trying to conceive their first child - anyone welcome!

The current stats list is shown below, UCL means usual cycle length, and CD is cycle day.

In theory the person who starts the thread gets a BFP before the end, but I'll just be happy to get AF turn up again!

I feel sick. Is it a sign? Is it a sign?

Muser · 01/06/2010 20:27

Depends aries, how much have you had to drink?

wannamummy · 01/06/2010 20:28

Congratulations to all the BFP's!!!!

on a very similar note.... i've just done a CB test to rule out PG due to AF symptoms and long cycle last month.... BFP!!!!!

I cant stop shaking... DH is out golfing and i'm a dithering wreck!

could it be a false positive? does that happen? I cant believe it.... i'm not convinced it's right.

think i'll test again in the morning just in case it's wrong

OMG!!!!

CaveMum · 01/06/2010 20:44

wannamummy woo hoo! What a way to start the month!

I'm 90% sure I'm right in saying that you can't have a false positive as the hormone the pregnancy test is looking for is only made when you are pregnant. It is possible to get a false negative if you are not secreting enough pg hormone.

I guess the best you can do is wait a few days and test again. Fingers crossed for you!

wannamummy · 01/06/2010 21:01

ok, i've just done a CB digital and again BFP with indicator of 2-3 weeks.... can two be wrong?!

sorry for being me me me... i'm in complete shock. I've only been lurking this month as i've been finding it really tough.

i dont know how to tell DH... what you doing in 8 1/2 months time?

haloflo · 01/06/2010 21:01

wannamummy Congratulations!! Cavemum is defiantly right- you don't get false positives. Test again in a few days after its sunk in but yes you are pg! Brill start to the month. I can't believe we'd had 4 in a row!

aires Oooh defiantly a sign if it continues. Unless you normally feel sick before AF?

mrswajs So sorry about temp drop - has AF come? I hope you are ok.

kkas Were you too early or late for ov? I hope Sorry to hear the wedding was hard - least it's over now.

womanly Really sorry to hear about your friend. I hope she is ok. Also has your DH got flu or man flu? Its its flu then I hope he gets better soon. If its man flu then tell him to pull himself together so you can get some SWI in!

haloflo · 01/06/2010 21:02

Its definatly not wrong. 2-3 weeks means that its been 2-3 since conception and your level of hormones matches that expected at that point. You are therefore 4-5 weeks pg. Congrats again!!!

wannamummy · 01/06/2010 21:10

Thank you haloflo and Cavemum. you do realise apart from me, you are the only two at the moment who know!!!!! how cool is that!

sorry for freaking out on you XXX

Ariesgirl · 01/06/2010 21:10

Er halo I'm not actually pre-AF yet, but no I don't normally feel sick. I'm just clutching at straws scraping the barrel trying to be optimistic

Ariesgirl · 01/06/2010 21:11

Oh and now I know too wannamummy. Blimey, this is a lucky thread. Congratulations!

pixiestix · 01/06/2010 21:33

Congratulations Wannamummy!!

Nope, you can't get a false positive so you are definitely up-duffed my dear!

I can't believe this thread over the last four days - its like fertility magic!

MrsWajs · 01/06/2010 21:34

Congratulations wannamummy!! Can't believe we've had 4 BFPs in almost as many days!

Oh and that now makes me the 4th person to know What time will your DH be home??

Halo AF has kind of started?? Not really sure as it's only been about (TMI) one blob of quite pinkish blood at about 4 this afternoon, which isn't the norm for me so guess I'll wait til it's in full swing before deciding what CD I'm on.
I'll be ok, just a bit gutted that it's not my month again. Really not sure how much longer I can keep going on like this. I know that's selfish when there are people who have been trying much longer than me and are now looking at the fertility route but it's starting to get me down and it's all I can think about, feeli it's maybe started to take a toll on DP and I as well.

CaveMum · 01/06/2010 21:37

wannamummy you freak out all you like! Better to get all excited on here than to run down the street waving a pg test and squealing!
When is your hubby due home?

Aries nowt wrong with symptom spotting, when my time comes I'll probably be invoking dodgy old wives tales - that stoat looked at me in a suspicious manner therefore I must be 3 weeks pg, etc

CaveMum · 01/06/2010 21:42

womanly I meant to say, if your DH has flu tell him a good SWI session will help sweat it out of his system

mumnerves · 01/06/2010 21:57

wannamummy congratulations on your BFP!!!

So excited about all these BFPs!! Hope many more of you get yours soon! x

Kaloki · 01/06/2010 22:28

Congrats wannamummy!! What's going on this month?!

So went to the hospital today.. which was a total waste of time. The doctor didn't even look at my back, in fact he didn't look at the notes which told him it was my upper back. He just assumed it was my lower back.

So now I need to call back and arrange an appointment for an MRI scan, which will be in about 6 weeeks, and which I can't do if I am pregnant.

Sod's law says I'll be pregnant sometime between booking the MRI and the scan itself.

Must run now, I think cramps are trying to kill me.

cherrycobbler · 01/06/2010 22:40

Oh my goodness what a lucky bank holiday!! (or rather - lucky day two/three weeks ago ... must be all that spring weather ). Huge congrats chalky , paper , apple and wannamummy !! Here's to a very uneventful and happy nine months.

Flo and Felicity thanks for your kind words. Hope you got over your hangover flo and are feeling back on top form!

Aries, I do hope your sickness is a Sign. I am also feeling sick but alas only because I demolished a huge plate of pasta whilst gossiping madly with friends so forgot to breathe in between mouthfuls. Gleurgh.

MrsW, sending hugs your way. Hope you're feeling okish. Its pretty tough isn't it? My AF cramps have started this evening and temp dipped to 36.3 this morning too, and am also finding it all a bit disheartening. . I wish someone could tell me that it was going to happen sometime - next month, next year, next two years - then I could just relax a bit more...

Kaloki boo re rubbish doctor - but Sods law is a powerful force so go booking the MRI scan now, missy.

Ok best go try and digest food FASTER and then off to bed for me.

Muser · 01/06/2010 23:07

Congrats to all the BFPs, what a run!

Hermya321 · 02/06/2010 06:48

Congratuklations Wannamummy, how fabbity fab fab!!!!

CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRR RRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTUUUUUUUUULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTIIIIIIIIIIIIO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brilliant fantastic news, I bet you're over the moon!!

If you wanna say hello, the grads thread is over here, in fact everyone can come over and say hello.

(sticks kettle on, looks in biscuits tin) I think I need to make a biscuit run!

zippys · 02/06/2010 08:20

Wow when we guys getting going on a run of BFP's we don't stop do we [grin}

Huge congrats everyone, lets hope some of your good luck will rub off on the rest of us (although Aries its sounding positive already).

Whos testing next to add on to the list?

Kaloki sorry to hear of knob head of a doctor (excuse the language I just think it is called for in this instance). I hate it when you wait for an appointment for ages and then it is a anticlimax and they are just crap. I cant find it now but when I had mine I think it was yorkshire who posted the risks of having an MRI when pregant and it was really slim.

MrsWaj sorry to hear about impending AF, how is your tooth - sendiong hug hugs your way.

(I am going to whisper this bit (as fell like a real cow) but feel of all the BFP today - normally I am just excited but I think as I go into month 14 of trying my positivity is dwindling. Just thinking it will never happen and I am just a barren hag!!)

zippys · 02/06/2010 08:26

zippys I think it is totally normal to feel a bit about the BFP's of late, I'm a teeny bit too and I'm not even ttc yet! As others have said somehow it feels different when fellow frolickers get a BFP as you've been with them on part of their journey, rather than random friends/relatives/colleagues who announce they are pregnant out of the blue.

Keep your fingers crossed for me ladies: I have an interview at 4pm for a distance learning degree course I want to get on. My work have agreed to pay for me to do it and I'm hoping it will be as good as it sounds!

Good luck to anyone POAS soon - you've got the full force of Frolickers Luck behind you!

zippys · 02/06/2010 08:42

Morning Cavemum thanks for letting me know I am not alone - I felt like such a cow bag feeling jealous - but it could be hormones (which means I may be ov - ooh better jump on DP when I get home ) Or I am just a grump!! - Good luck for this afty (keeping my fingers crossed for you )

kkas · 02/06/2010 09:29

congrats wannamummy

haloflo think i was too early. we had that good sesh with the window open and then i had a temp rise for two days, so at first i thought i had cracked it. but then temp dropped again for two days and didn't rise until the friday. FF says i ov'ed last thursday and there was no SWI since the sunday since we were both really swamped with work and stressed out. *sigh... oh well! hoping this baby dust rubs off someday.

zippys i know exactly how you feel hun. we can be grumpy in our corner together. here - have some cinnamon rolls and a cuppa.

OneOf8 · 02/06/2010 11:14

Just wanted to say a massive congratulations to the BFPs!!!

How exciting!!
